Politics / Re: Obasanjo Is Trying To Bring About Political Balance In Nigeria by diobi: 8:12pm On Sep 24, 2010
PhysicsQED:

I don't think Obasanjo planned anything.

Although Yar-Adua hadn't done anything as a governor except save a little money, he still was an educated man, with a respected and influential last name, and a clean corruption record. He was just a good Northern PDP establishment member choice.

People are giving him too much credit. Anyways, Obasanjo has been a Northern stooge since 1967 but his declaration of support for Jonathan is more in line with wanting to see the people he planted in the executive office succeed over people with no connections to him than some explicit pro-Southern agenda.

totally agree. Obasanjo is too selfish to see anything outside of himself. He happens to be a southerner, so his moves will always appear pro-south, but is really pro-Obasanjo.

Politics / Re: Zoning Will Divide Nigeria by diobi: 7:43pm On Sep 24, 2010
Dede1:

This is a ranting of ant. If Bola Tinubu termed zoning as divisive, what the hell should he call quota system and nonsensical federal character? It is this type of lame expression that spurs many right-thinking Nigerians to continuously agitate for disintegration of the cesspit called Nigeria.

If zoning is not good for Nigeria, I must categorically say that quota and federal character are bad for the country too.

GBAM!

After enjoying zoning for 8 years under Obasanjo, they now want to destroy it.

Zoning or disintegration!
Politics / Re: Efcc, Icpc May Go After Soludo by diobi: 7:29pm On Sep 24, 2010
Why is Adamu Ciroma not being harassed with EFCC. Wasn't he a finance minister under Obasanjo? Isn't he a leader for northern agitation on zoning, which is even more open?
Why is Jonathan always quick to send EFCC after Igbo politicians. That muddefucker should mind his stolen office and leave us alone.
Politics / Re: Efcc, Icpc May Go After Soludo by diobi: 7:26pm On Sep 24, 2010
If Jonathan really wants trouble from Ndigbo, he should dare touch Soludo.  angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

I have not seen any notable northerner or westerner being harassed with EFCC. First it was Ogbulafor; now Soludo.

So, we can't talk in Nigeria again because thieves are stealing us blind.

Any Igbo who still support Jonathan is a big fool.

I guess it was not honor and courage for the Yoruba soldiers who chose to fight on the side of Biafra or Col. Adekunle Fajuyi who earlier chose to lay down his own life for his friend and Commander in Chief, who was Igbo. No amount of revisionism will change the fact that some Yoruba have defended the Igbo with their own blood.

ndigbo will always remember those yoruba who died fighting on the Biafran side. we know them all. no doubt they were also brave and honorable. cool

Eziachi:

Thanks for your so called education, but reading from you so far indicates that you might need the education or medication more than I do. Why do Nigeria need to go to ICJ knowing who is behind Cameroon according to your logic?
What do you call a turkey that accept to organise a Christmas party, knowing that such a party will bring his life to a violent end, but enjoyment and merry for others?

ICJ and UN has passed more 100 judgements/resolutions directing that Israel go back to the original boundary before the 6 days war of the 70s and till this day, Israel hasn’t moved an inch or listen to anyone, instead she is building new settlements in the occupied Palestinian lands and beyond.

Nigeria don’t have to obey ICJ or anybody, and no one will come from anywhere and tell you where you come from and where you belong.
People like you and your sycophant leaders doesn’t waste time in calling yourself the giant of Africa and then an issue came up for the giant to showcase his giant status, all we saw was an action of a wimp of a small ant.

United Kingdom went all the way to South America and fought a bloody war with Argentina over Falkland in the 80s because of few British bloods still occupying the land that rightly belongs to the Argentines. But in your case you handed over ancestral Bakassi people just like that because you are obeying ICJ and then had the gut to say that Nigeria is indivisible.
I think you need reality check.

Where are all those idiots saying that Nigeria is indivisible. Nigeria is very very divisible and it has already happened. All I need next is to get support from Libya and China and I will carve that country into any shape I want. Anyone try any nonsense I will reduce their land to ashes!
i thought i could fight to keep Nigeria one, but only a fool will do that.
nigeria cowardly sold Bakassi to cameroun. Next cameroun will claim calabar land. useless country.
Politics / Re: Divide Nigeria In Two, Says Muammar Gaddafi by diobi: 3:03am On Mar 17, 2010
i support this idea but i want the easterners to take immediate precaution by forming international alliances now. that is the only way it can happen peacefully. we need to invite a powerful country like US to base in the eastern region.
i don't trust yorubas because they are cowards. minorities of the north are not reliable much unless they are sure of peaceful separation. only the igbo can lead out of this mess, but we must secure american support first.

If I have my way, every Nigerian muslim will be deported to Jupiter. Let them go there and bow down to their allah and if they must use their dagger as usual, let them massacre the aliEns. I am sure their Allah will still reward them with virgins if they also massacre aliens; may be with more virgins sef. It will also be good because they don't have to face East in search of the sun  before their Allah will listen to their prayers. There is no sun rise and sun set in Jupiter.

hehehehe. . . . whats funny is that my comment was tongue in cheek, and was supposed to be interpreted as the contemporary definition of the word "tool" as opposed to "f00l".

But from your response, I can see that I should have used the original meaning of the word "f00l" to contextualise your intellectual and temperamental disposition.

Imagine an idiot like yourself making this statement:

then backtracking by saying this:

hmmmm. . . . it speaks for itself. . .

Like I've said (and for the last time), Western Nigeria automatically became at war with Biafra the minute Nigeria declared war on Biafra. You dont need to go to military or diplomat school to understand that simple fact.

The West was never neutral as you claim. . . and was a legitimate war front in the war between Nigeria and Biafra from the moment Gowon declared war.

@ few posters

It is very unfortunate that Nigeria has grown into stupidity with knack to demonstrate infinitely. I could not believe reading odious and impetuous analogy of Biafra and Germany from the ongoing discourse. People tend to gravitate to all time low trying to absolve themselves or their forbearers from delusional acts by indulging in arrant prevarication.

Biafra never enjoyed a minute of peaceful existence as a sovereign nation and yet someone audaciously decided to generate loathsome comparison that pitched Biafra against Germany that had risen to the apex of imperial power.

The discussions should center on the issue Chief Joe Achuzie raised in his alleged interview that Biafra was not actually defeated.

now this also caught my notice

Clearly, the calabash is broken. Instead of trying to mend it, now is the time for the Middle Belt to look to forging alternative strategic alliances, especially with the South-South. It is foolhardy to persist in the illusion of 'One North' when we are getting absolutely nothing out of it. The Middle Belt has enough manpower, land and natural resources to stand on its own. With our rich and fertile soils, the region can feed the whole of Nigeria with food. Jos Plateau alone can feed the whole of West Africa with potatoes and vegetables.

now i am going  to add a recent write up by some body and i would want u guys to do the maths.

middlebelt can form alliance with any gropu they choose but they should know that the way to the south south passes through south east, hence it is not possible forming that alliance without ndigbo. if they try to do it by hook or crook then ndigbo will form alliance with hausa/fulani. we have not forgoten the role they played in biafra, but we can forgive them if they play the game smart. ndigbo will not allow an alliance of villains or traitors. if they want peace, let it be comprehensive.
Politics / Re: How Sagamite Will Deal With The Yaradua Debacle by diobi: 3:49am On Feb 26, 2010
Sagamite:

The debacle with Yaradua continues to throw complete embarassment on the nation.

Apparently, Yaradua is back in the country but no reliable sighting to verify this.

In my opinion, there are 4 possible status based on the continued insult by the presidential team on Nigerians:

1) Yaradua is ill and is giving instructions as reported but for some reason (e.g. disfigurement of skin, face, low weight etc) does not want to be seen in public.

2) Yaradua is completely incapacitated and is not lucid enough to give instructions and some group of people have seen an opportunity to take advantage of this.

3) Yaradua is still in Saudi Arabia in the condition described in (2).

4) Yaradua is DEAD and some people are exploiting this.

Status 2-4 is an act of treason and any participant should pay for the consequence.

If I was Jonathan, this is a time to show true leadership and put aside any compromise for the sake of image, but put the nation first as that status 2-4 is dangerous for the nation. The nation needs to know if we have a president or not. And it is completely illegal for instructions to be passed from parties that can not confirm if the president is capacitated or alive.

If I was Jonathan, I would first of all covertly instruct the SSS to investigate grounds of unlawfulness against key individuals. E.g:

a) Who signed the budget?

b) Who instructed soldiers to go on the street the night Yaradua "came back"

c) Lying that the president is in the country when not

Most likely it would be key people in the presidential staff.

Then I will go to the presidential villa with Legislative representatives and the Chief Justice and demand to see the president. If I get to see him and he seems lucid and express he understands what has taken place so far and it was all with his approval, then that is fine.

If I am not allowed to see him, then I will IMMEDIATELY order the SSS to arrest of the President's Chief of Staff and his deputy, his Chief Press Secretary and his deputy, the Chief Security Aide (which I will replace with my deputy CSA so no one can claim I left the president unprotected but at the same time have someone that is most likely on my side and hence less bribeable) and the millitary officer that ordered the soldiers on the streets.

I will order they be charged with forgery, false reporting of president's status, kidnap of president and illegal despatch of soldiers without executive approval.

They will be in maximum security prisons awaiting trial, then we will have a chance to know if Yaradua is alive or not. If he does not have intermediaries to talk through, if he is alive he will call the vice president.

As far as I am concerned, the president is DEAD until verified otherwise.

is it the same SSS that is busy searching Jonathans office to find incriminating things against him. i don't think you understand that Jonathan is powerless in the power equation of nigeria. he has no powerful constituency. south south is not powerful in nigeria. they will soon find out.

Perhaps ethnicity was the wrong word to use, rather "go back to your own part of the country" mentality would have been more apt. The evidence exists in your earlier posts, including the one in which you stated:

What was the point of that? What has the poster's question got to do with the budget of Rivers State? You could have just stated that the Lagos State budget isn't big enough to tackle all problems at once etc. I just don't get why on earth you brought in Rivers State when the poster was querying about Lagos, is apparently living in Lagos, and paying taxes to Lagos. Unlike you, I do not trade in insults. The evidence of my objections which you refer to as "paranoia" is there for all to see.

@OPC man
Yoruba states are:Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti.
States where Yoruba and others are found are: Lagos-Yoruba70% and Egun; Ondo-Yoruba80% and Izon; Kwara-Yoruba 50%; Kogi-Yoruba 15%.
Since the fall of Oyo empire about 300 years ago, The Yorubas have not be annexing territories. It will be destructive for any person or persons to continue from the where the Old Oyo empire stopped. Hence, do not march towards Delta and Edo states, they are NO-GO-AREAS.

Politics / Re: Ndi Igbo, Do We Need The Nigerian Government (not A Biafra Thread Lol)? by diobi: 6:19pm On Dec 10, 2009
i agree with the poster's point except that we Igbo people must also embrace arms and understand that it is impossible to create and keep wealth without it. Look around the world, the richest countries in the world are the most armed. You think they are fools? ndigbo may make all the money and control all the banks, but one drunken soldier or militant can point a gun and take all that away without any reason whatsoever.
You can have one million dollars but someone with one Ak47 will take all that away. i agree we don't need biafra. i probably agree we don't need nigerias presidency because you only have it for 8 years. but we need our security if we must continue to acquire wealth and keep it. that is why we need arms today.

Sincerely i have been fooled all along thinking that BIAFRA was a dream of ndigbo towards creating a society of limitless possibilities, for massive development that will be the envy of all,

But seeing ardent BIAFRA proponents subscribe to this idea that any fair minded person knows will make Ndigbo even more vulnerable outside Ndigbo land makes me speechless,

WTF show me a fair minded nigerian.
Biafran proponents can carry on their business, me i don't care about Biafra, i care about surviving in the jungle call nigeria! the only way we can survive in nigeria without thieves envying our assets is to be heavily armed. that is how we can ensure that we continue to progress. we must also fight anyone trying to secede in the future because they will steal our assets! nigerians don't care about fairness or justice, they are all thieves. so we must be nigerians. i bet you that if we arm ourselves now, all these marginalisation will end today. we will regain all we lost to these thieves. i repeat, we don't need biafra. we need to survive in nigeria. being armed outside igboland will make us far safer because the cowards will know that they will not survive their next genocide plans against us.
