Ha! Those GTI guys, they are something else. Their services, charges, PR are worse than bad. Compared to MorganCapital, their trade portal is too limited in access.

Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 4:15pm On Oct 31
Insightful observations.
Locotrader:

Look like Morgan capital and Atlas portfolio (cititrader) has same type of web portal.
Manually done things.

Well I was able to do a transaction with cititrader today at around 0.80% total cost on BUY. This people will save me money oooo.Just that the funding and withdrawals are not friendly. You have to notify them of payment and request for withdrawal too.

Cardinal stone and stanbic are also cheaper in fees than other peers(Top brokers).Tested them ok

Investment one has been milking me 1.80% buy and 2.1% sell for sometime now. They will not see my BUY again.
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 2:58pm On Oct 31
Got it.
Ginalex:
The cheaper fee was what made me open my second account with Morgan. The app is user friendly
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 2:45pm On Oct 31
But then, what's the charges/commission of Cardinal Stone like? Is it as friendly/moderate as MorganCapital's?
Ginalex:
CardinalStone have both app and web with live/real time trading data. I use both though. CardinalStone and Morgan capital
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 2:41pm On Oct 31
Thanks.
KarlTom:
None that I am aware of.

Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 2:41pm On Oct 31

Ok.
Me4bas:

There's no app that can give you live update that I know of. What most stockbrokers have is web app..
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 2:10pm On Oct 31
Does MorganCapital have an app now?
KarlTom:
There are several.
I use MorganC for live trading data... wink

gamaliel9:
Finally, my analogue broker paid me my money today. T-3 things. Thank you I sold all my stocks with the firm...now i will attack ACCESS in my new broker...I think, if your broker refuses to TRANSFER your portfolio to another broker of your choice, it is better to sell all your holdings, then, use the money to buy with your broker of choice. Nonsense and ingredients grin

I beg, please, anyone who has any info that can benefit us, don't hesitate to drop here. That should not be an offence.
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 7:17pm On Oct 27
Let me lend a voice to this discourse. The 100% or so wage increase is actually a ruse and deception. The category of workers that will benefit that 100 % is infinitesimally small, if there is at all. By the government's consequential adjustment magic, most junior workers will get less than 50%, most middle workers will get less than 30% raise, while most senior workers will get less than 20%. When you juxtapose that with the astronomical increase in goods, food, transport, services, and other parameters of cost living, workers' purchasing power is actually nosediving, and far from increasing. He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches, I challenge anyone to do a finding on workers' living condition; it is worse than pathetic. In fact, I am doing this typing with a heavy heart. So, no one should think the wage thing will positively impact the economy, market, business, or company bottomline. Pls visit:

Ginalex:
Mr. Osita, I expect you to understand that the increase in salaries and wages (which most times happens once a year)is nothing compared to how much the prices of goods and services have increased. Heck what you bought for 1 naira today, has more than doubled in a month such that most have resort to buying less quantity for same price compared to what they could afford before. While some others can't even afford even half of what they're used to because despite the so called "increase" in salaries, but in real terms have lesser purchasing power. Same goes for those that their "4m" salary increased to "6m". Their tastes don't even have to change for them to realize that they can no longer easily afford what they're used to.

Thanks for this at-a-glance breakdown.

[quote author=ositadima1 post=132529263]

Here is a breakdown of the key points:

1. Dangote Refinery has filed a lawsuit against the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC), Matrix Petroleum Services Limited, A. A. Rano Limited, and four other companies.

2. Dangote Refinery is seeking to void the import licenses of these companies, claiming they are importing refined petroleum products that Dangote Refinery is already producing and able to supply.

Did you listen to his first speech, during the tail end of the listing and bell ringing ceremony? He sounded overbearing; some procedural errors he pointed out were better said in camera, and not open public. I believe he does not have that level of price-influencing power he tried to allude to. Aradel does not need such, their track and financial records are just overwhelming.
Streetinvestor2:
That will not work with such company. Thr financials are readily available for all to see. They will be needing investors money in the future so they have a reputation to build and maintain

I think he went a bit overboard and suggestive in his speech.
Sunrisepebble:
In his words: “If you want us to give you the price you require, come close, give us the necessary information, if you don’t give us, we’ll dig for information, the hearsay in the market, we’ll use it to make your price and whatever you see, you take it”

It's only the man whose ears are close to the floor that can hear the footstep of an ant. The man that is dancing does not see his back to know whether he's dancing well or not. The bitterkola said anyone who thinks he's sweet because of the way he's sounding in other people's mouth, should first have a taste of him. They say a long speech is not fit for evening service etc

What's happening? I tried to bid for some units of Aradel , to at least be in queue, but the system keeps rejecting it.

Waiting for Q3 result too. It's not until then that one can make a more reliable projection.

Any reason for this opinion.
My own is end of month based on q3 results

When they over deliver? When they keep to their words? They are usually silent operators and dont like to being in the limelight, they prefer their results to do the publicity and they are very humble with their achievements.

Hmmmm. Many thanks.

These revelations are amazing. But how does one spot companies with such leadership qualities. I am learning fast on this platform. Thank you all.
emmanuelewumi:

The key word is fair and God fearing leaders.

By the way Unipetrol now Oando was far bigger than NDEP now Aradel in 1990.

It started as a small consulting firm of geologists and geophysicists. By the way the founder has a PhD in Geology, in his early 80s and now retired .

The company did not miss dividend payments in the last 20 years

Aradel gang our 1k is very possible before listing on NGX grin grin. I have a source who has been in the stock since inception, holds 12mn units post split, every time it gains 10% it’s printing 700 million for him
Kai! Which kin guy be that refuse to drag me with him then?
I wish I had known the stock before this year. When I knew the stock, I checked through their financials and business model. The records were so clear that a lay man like me understood them. I even accessed their last AGM meeting which is freely available online on You Tube. In that AGM. the MD or was it Chairman, gave a coded hint on the future of the company, and the direction of the stock price, while reacting to the concern raised by an investor on the stock split they were going to embark on. But for lack of capital, I for don grow well, well now.
