Lol... well said. zendi: Your lawyers should demand of the International Authority that you be released to go and be examined for a condition known as Grandiose Delusions or Delusions of Grandeure.
That condition, for example, can make one see himself wrongly as a Top Notch Hedge Funds Manager and Trader with portfolio and networth in the hundreds of billions of dollars. |

I have been reluctant in making comments here because I just came back to stocks investment after a LOOONG run-away exit, prompted by the 2008 financial crisis. Dangote did not start today. I don't who else was a victim, but when Dangote was to buy over NASCON in those days, he played a fast one on us; he offered some units of his holding to floor investors. Riding on the wave and euphoria created by the BCC takeover magic, his media team hyped the NASCON news to high heavens, and there was serious scrambling and lobbying by investors. I think only few people were 'lucky' to scale through. It was sold to us at N17 or so, can't remember properly now. I was so happy that my bid went through. I thought what I missed out in BCC magic, I would recoup in NASCOM. But before I knew what was happening, they had massively crashed the price. The man eventually bought it back from us at N5 or so. Shalom428:
It's really sad how Nigerians overlook daylight fraud in NSE. Our leaders know exactly who we are , that is why they use impunity to rubbish us as much as they do
Dangote proposed a merger ( Nascon , DangSugar and DangRice ) . Prospective investors keyed into it , especially looking at the price its closest contemporary ( BUAFOODS ) was and still trading .
DangRice is nonexistent, zero revenue, yet he used to sell and pump the price of the distressed DangSugar. He used it to pump the price of distressed DangSugar, he already knew Financial cost will battered DangSugar. If this is not a daylight robbery, I don't know which one will be
He knew NSE investors are docile, they will not do shit. Can he pull this type of fraud in an economy with active investors, Hell No!
I no longer play in NSE , I have over 3 Million unit in DangSugar and Nascon ( combined ) and I have chosen to ignore them for the next 5 - 10 years
2025 , NSE investors should hold companies accountable, go to AGM , ask pertinent questions and challenge whenever it is needed. I'm getting old now , more risk averse. I'm now very much active in the money market ( Tbills, Bonds , Commercial papers and so on )
Best of luck , guys quote author=Shalom428 post=133640156] It's really sad how Nigerians overlook daylight fraud in NSE. Insightful observations. Locotrader:
Look like Morgan capital and Atlas portfolio (cititrader) has same type of web portal. Manually done things.
Well I was able to do a transaction with cititrader today at around 0.80% total cost on BUY. This people will save me money oooo.Just that the funding and withdrawals are not friendly. You have to notify them of payment and request for withdrawal too.
Cardinal stone and stanbic are also cheaper in fees than other peers(Top brokers).Tested them ok
Investment one has been milking me 1.80% buy and 2.1% sell for sometime now. They will not see my BUY again. |

Let me lend a voice to this discourse. The 100% or so wage increase is actually a ruse and deception. The category of workers that will benefit that 100 % is infinitesimally small, if there is at all. By the government's consequential adjustment magic, most junior workers will get less than 50%, most middle workers will get less than 30% raise, while most senior workers will get less than 20%. When you juxtapose that with the astronomical increase in goods, food, transport, services, and other parameters of cost living, workers' purchasing power is actually nosediving, and far from increasing. He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches, I challenge anyone to do a finding on workers' living condition; it is worse than pathetic. In fact, I am doing this typing with a heavy heart. So, no one should think the wage thing will positively impact the economy, market, business, or company bottomline. Pls visit: https://economicconfidential.com/2024/09/minimum-wage-adjustments/Ginalex: Mr. Osita, I expect you to understand that the increase in salaries and wages (which most times happens once a year)is nothing compared to how much the prices of goods and services have increased. Heck what you bought for 1 naira today, has more than doubled in a month such that most have resort to buying less quantity for same price compared to what they could afford before. While some others can't even afford even half of what they're used to because despite the so called "increase" in salaries, but in real terms have lesser purchasing power. Same goes for those that their "4m" salary increased to "6m". Their tastes don't even have to change for them to realize that they can no longer easily afford what they're used to. 1 Like |

Here is a breakdown of the key points:
1. Dangote Refinery has filed a lawsuit against the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC), Matrix Petroleum Services Limited, A. A. Rano Limited, and four other companies.
2. Dangote Refinery is seeking to void the import licenses of these companies, claiming they are importing refined petroleum products that Dangote Refinery is already producing and able to supply. |

Did you listen to his first speech, during the tail end of the listing and bell ringing ceremony? He sounded overbearing; some procedural errors he pointed out were better said in camera, and not open public. I believe he does not have that level of price-influencing power he tried to allude to. Aradel does not need such, their track and financial records are just overwhelming. Streetinvestor2: That will not work with such company. Thr financials are readily available for all to see. They will be needing investors money in the future so they have a reputation to build and maintain 1 Like |

I think he went a bit overboard and suggestive in his speech. Sunrisepebble: In his words: “If you want us to give you the price you require, come close, give us the necessary information, if you don’t give us, we’ll dig for information, the hearsay in the market, we’ll use it to make your price and whatever you see, you take it”
