RUBBISH. How much do those 6000 employees get from Mtn compared to what the 12 expatriates evacuate to their homeland. How dare they approach the issue from a threatening angle. Let them evacuate.Their services are to high anyway.

Politics / Re: Asari Dokubo Issues A New Threat by Doctorkay360: 5:06am On Apr 02, 2015
LogicPower:
1. We called the bluff of Asari and co before the election, that no matter how well prepared they think they are, militarily, financially and otherwise, it is ABSURDLY DELUSIONAL of them to think that they could threaten the rest of the country and intimidate everyone into voting for their kinsman against their will.

2. Are we not vindicated now? Has Asari or any of his fellow miscreants got any reports of some 'Gambaris' in the North or 'their slaves' in the SW shivering and scampering to the polling booths to vote for GEJ so that the Asaris would not destroy the country if their kinsman was not re-elected?.

3. Now that Nigerians have called the bluff of Asari and co and elected a 'Gambari' and 'his slave' as the nation's president and VP respectively for the next four years, it is in entirely up to the Asaris to choose between living in the country as law-abiding citizens, relocating abroad permanently in protest, or remaining in the country to try using their accumulated weapons, resources, training and personnel to defy and challenge the authority of the in-coming government, and dare the consequences.

4. As for the ordinary law-abiding people of ND, they should rest assured that, God willing, their lot would even be better under the new progressive government of APC; as the in-coming government reduces corruption and looting, it would have more resources available for people-oriented projects that would help reduce poverty and unemployment across the country, ND region inclusive.

5. Many of us are fully aware of the fact that the GEJ' presidency hardly did anything to improve the quality of their lives, as the greatest chunk of the trillions that were allocated to the region in the last five years sadly ended up in the pockets of their heartless, greedy local exploitative political 'leaders' and the likes of Asaris who turned to over-night billionaires at the expense of their suffering people.

6. Thus the only ND people who should be concerned about the change in government at the center are the highly corrupt political elite from the region (the Arubebes), the over-pampered vagabonds-turned-billionaires (the Asaris) and the opportunistic 'elders' of the region (the Clarks) - the three groups of ND rogues who collectively and individually exploited the plights of the ND people to make stupendous wealth for themselves and their families.

7. These three self-centred groups in the ND would be seriously concerned not because they would necessarily be tried or investigated, but at least because they know their tap of sources for personal aggrandizement, power and influence, which they have been enjoying under the guise of 'protecting' the interests of the ND people, would soon be turned off.
Thanks for laying the facts out clearly.

Who is now doing inec's work for them? Please people there's only one official way to collect your PVC and its at the inec office corresponding to where you registered. Why will you expect your PVC to be at point b when its officially supposed to be at point a.Is there any conceivable reason why your PVC should be delivered elsewhere other than where you registered or is there any justification for inec to send you to point b instead of point a for your PVC.

I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED THAT THE SECTARIAN
CONTRAPTION CALLED THE APC IS NOT A POLITICAL PARTY
BUT RATHER MORE OF A PRESSURE GROUP. WHICH HAS FAILED
WOEFULLY TO PROVE TO NIGERIA BEYOND EVERY DOUBT THAT
THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. I FOR ONE KNOW, AS ALL
ENLIGHTENED MINDS DO THAT WHAT WE HAVE, IS JUST A
COMING TOGETHER OF A HANDFUL WHO HAVE HAD ANY
REASON WHATSOEVER TO COURT EVEN AS LITTLE GRIEVANCE
AGAINST THE RULING PARTY; AND AS SUCH WILL NOT STAND
UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF SALIENT ISSUES BOTHERING ON
NATIONAL INTEREST AS HAS BEEN SHOWN SO FAR. IT IS
NOTEWORTHY THAT IN THE PAST FEW YEARS A NUMBER OF
SUCH PRESSURE GROUPS HAD ARISEN AND HAD
SUBSEQUENTLY METAMORPHOSED INTO FURTHER ENLARGED
PRESSURE ASSOCIATIONS, OF WHICH THE APC HAPPENS TO BE
THE GRANDEST SO FAR. IT IS ALSO NOTEWORTHY THAT
CERTAIN ILLICIT ACTIVITIES OF THIS GANG-UP AT MOST HAS
ONLY HELPED BOLSTER THE HYPE AND MORALE OF THE RULING
PDP WHO SEEM SO FAR WELL PLACED BY ALL INDICATIONS TO
WIN THE MARCH 28 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. THIS IS MORE
EVIDENT AS THE PDP IS CLEARLY DICTATING THE PACE AT
WHICH THE POLITICKING AT THAT LEVEL IS DONE. THE MUCH
WE MAY PROBABLY SEE OF THE OPPOSITION AT THE END OF
THE ELECTIONS IS A CALL TO MASS CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE,
WHICH THE RULING PARTY IS ALREADY BEING SEEN TO BE
CALCULATING TOWARDS. THIS THEREFORE IS NOT TO SAY
THAT THE RULING PARTY HAS NOT BEEN RATTLED AS MUCH AS
CAN TOPPLE EVEN A SOLIDLY STRUCTURED IDEOLOGY BUT HAS
ALSO ENGENDERED IN THE COMMON MAN THE SENSE OF HIS
POWER TO MAKE AND UNMAKE. BUT THEN THE RULING PDP
STILL MAINTAINS THE STRATEGIC UPPERHAND AND WOULD
THUS GO ON TO RETAIN THE NIGERIA NUMBER ONE SEAT.
Your grammar and capital letters still doesn't make you superior in intellect to your audience. We are wiser now and won't return to the cradle by just wishing us away.We are aware that there could be challenges hindering plaguing this administration on wholistic scale throughout its tenure(even though we are not sure who is behind the book boys) but what about the numerous individual instances where they could clearly do something about issues of public interest and they clearly refused. Typically why did they glorify stella's scandal instead of swiftly giving her the treatment deserved. What about the pension scandal. It is either of three things 1)They have the worst image makers ever,or 2)They don't give a damn about what the bloody ORDINARY Nigerians think or 3)They wrongly and callously assumed that Nigerians have thick skin and empty heads.THIS IS THE REAL BONE OF CONTENTION and the APC has carefully and strategically allign itself with what we feel with evidences to prove it.

Election rigging is not new in Nigerian election process but I can understand if the author is ignorant about that.It is not also news that the electoral process anywhere in the world is an evolutionary process albeit in the right direction and the natural pattern is well known , but this is also pardonable . What is new is the effort by the INEC chairman to effect a free and fair election through more reliable means which is also part of its mandate. This the first time the card reader is being used and there are bound to be challenges. The author's deviation into football is a baseless and unnecessary analogy. The incidental and quite welcomed insight into the rigging mechanism of some political players( that the card reader/pvc combo will effectively neutralise) is now being blamed on the INEC chairman as if the audio recording captured his voice or as if he should be on hand to police any meeting in which the election or rigging is being mentioned .He can only do his best based on the technology and the resources at his disposal .The basis for the argument for the postponement is the fact that the Armed Forces which are not under INEC's control cannot provide security even if the constitution stipulates that they should do so. How is this also Jega's fault? The author is not being reasonable.

So all the activities of the INEC should be shrouded in secrecy because they are "independent"?

The PDP is a stakeholder in the elections, they have every right to know about every election process, activity, device, technology etc. This is a democracy!
If they are so concerned why didn't they raise the issue at the stakeholders meeting with INEC where all concerned where present and there was a level playing intellectual platform for discussion instead of throwing stones from a vantage point?

Nigerians are wiser now. The Changetrain does not slow down, does not stop and does not change course. Even if its GMB that as much as hint reluctance to abide by the laws of the Changetrain, we will throw him off and hire another operator. So the earlier GEJ accepts his fate, the better for him.Afterall, the electorates HAVE TO reserve the power to change their leader if they don't want him. That is part of the contract we signed with him in 2011.That is what is NORMAL because we are not in a dictatorship . To rule no be by force,so let him ALLOW us to VOTE him out. We'll thank him for patriotism later.

Good.

They sould join jonaTAN in his sinking ship.

I have been thinking how the ballot paper will look like with 14party on it...many voters will cast their vote for the wrong persons especially the illiterates and some old peoples.

The longer the ballot paper the more possibility of void votes and the shorter the ballot paper the less possibility of void votes.

You cant expect an illiterate or some old people to be search for the broom in a list of 13 uselesss parties, there is high possibilities of void votes.

Am totally in support of those 9 coterie of clowns party in joining the Party of Death and Pains aka PDP
But we still need opposition for the APC to keep them on their toes after taking over.If they join a sinking ship,we will miss a vital part of a healthy democracy. But I agree with you that their alliance amounts to nothing.

Car Talk / Need Urgent Advice on Toyota D4(1az Fse) 2.0l Vvt-i Engine.It's pros & Cons? by Doctorkay360: 6:05am On Dec 29, 2013
Hi Nairalanders, compliment of the season. This is my 1st post so bear with me if there are inconsistencies.
The D4 engine represents Toyota's Direct Injection engine, in other words the fuel & air arrive separately under high pressure into the combustion chambers. I hope the car gurus on this platform can educate me on the pros & cons of buying a car with such an engine. This is stemming from unconfirmed opinions of auto mechanics whereby some completely write it off as a very troublesome & unpredictable engine while others praise it as an engine that almost compares in power to the regular 2.4L VVT-I Toyota engine while maintaining the fuel efficiency of a 1.8L VVT-I engine. Please How true is this.
As an extension between this engine & the 2.4L VVT-I engine, which would you suggest. Thank you
