Business / Re: Cleaning Services Managers: Lets Share Experiences. by doespinner: 10:32pm On Oct 08, 2013
Great to see alot of people entering this business and trying to up the game .....the culture of hiring cheap and unprofessional help is still prevalent
in naija and the more business that bring in professionalism the better.

I started unclebeez cleaning services a few months back, I put a few sales rep on the field and they have generated an impressive pipeline. It is not yet generating profit but we have turned the pipeline to real opportunities and now the challenge is turning the opps to actual sales.

its a test of endurance but god willing we will endure.

Business / Can Diasporians Really Cope With Doing Bizz In Nigeria? by doespinner: 9:05pm On May 30, 2008
there is this notion that if you have been away from nigeria too long, nigerians will not take you seriously.
they would see you as an easy target. You have been softened and can only speak phonetics.

any complaints you make about anything ur quickly dubbed JJC.
you are looked upon as an outsider.

you would need to do everything the "nigerian way"
which includes intimidating poeple, picking up fights, treating ur workers like personal slaves, kidnappin people etc

can diasporians really cope!

Properties / Re: Who Can Supply Solar Energy In Nigeria!? by doespinner: 10:24pm On May 10, 2008
once again to those in yankee, I can imagine that your solar systems would cost you $30K becos you guys want to power all watts hungry gadgets in the house, in NAIJA we will be happy to have constant light in the palor and have the tv running in the eve.
Now you don't need £30K to light up a bulb and power ur flatscreen!

google solar panel to see online prices and visit this url to learn about the technology.

Properties / Re: Who Can Supply Solar Energy In Nigeria!? by doespinner: 12:19am On May 05, 2008
haba 30K !!!

I am talking about solar for residential use and not industrial.

A 2meter * 2meter solar panel should be sufficient to light up a house (maybe your TV too but not the fridge)

there are different types of Solar systems. Some for supplying heat to the house, the other just to light it up.
If you browse the internet you will come across cheap solar systems. I allready have a supplier who sells a mobile
unit for $1500 in yanky.
I was only hoping I could get it in Nigeria so I don't go through the expense of importation.
Properties / Who Can Supply Solar Energy In Nigeria!? by doespinner: 1:17am On May 04, 2008
First of all,I am a bit confused as to why Nigerians don't use Solar power, are we that addicted to NEPA and noisy generators?
Japan, indonesia and alot of european countries (UK not included) are beginning to embrace solar energy.
I guess we are waiting for america to make it a trend before we pick up on it.

What are the pros and cons?
*)We have abundant sun,
*)Solar system is efficient and does not need much maintenance in comparison to gens,
*)is not noisy
*)charges in the the daytime and you can use is for hours in the night.
*)does not need diesel to operate.
*)COST EFFECTIVE!!! I heard of a company that sells a home unit for $600 in South africa.
How much do we spend on a gen, maintain it and top it up with diesel for a year in comparison?

I would be interested in getting information on any solar energy providers in Nigeria. Does anyone know?

very true @ landis,
that is where the art of selling comes in.

speak with the decision maker directly,if you noticed earlier I mentioned an imaginary PITCH to the MD not the the security guy.
moreover it is OK to spread the love to others since that is how naija functions, abide by it! the guy too must chop now,
Adverts / Re: Looking For Partners For My New It Tech Concept, should Get 3 Branches In 2yrs by doespinner: 3:25pm On Apr 28, 2008
thanks for the questions @ kazey,

Q: do I have any customers allready?
A: directly no,however I currently work for honeywell in the uk as a technical consultant in the same field and our branch office in South Africa ships over a 100000 units every month all over africa Nigeria included.

My opportunity came when honeywell refused to open a regional branch in nigeria. What was there reason?

"LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE NIGERIAN MARKET!"

as an omo naija origina I opted to fill this void.
that means i will have oyinbo support but not their CONTROL!

I plan to raise awareness by holding a few demo workshops in sheraton where possible customers are invited.
oyinbo will be there too to explain there craft.

Q:What do I need a business partner for?
A:I need this project to run professionally.I come from a technical background and need someone who understands
running a proper business, who knows how to grow a business, employ the right people, outsource to the right companies, negotiator
in handling big contracts in our market etc etc

Q:functionality versus target market?
A:Imagine you are the MD of Zenith bank, what if I tell you that I can help your head of security build an efficient security system that spans across your 200 branches?
ie your organization will have a centralized management of security systems.
Mr X who is head of your security can be located in abuja but has instant access to all 200 branches. The system can notify him
of any irregularities per mobile or on his pc/laptop screen with detailed info of location, snapshots etc etc

THE BENEFITS ARE COUNTLESS AND CUSTOMIZABLE dependent on industry applied.

pictures speak a thousand words so I can disclose diagramatic explanations upon request grin

my bizz plan is laid out,am so excited about this as it will be relatively new for naija,
there will be loaded benefits for the customers, who are my targets?
banks/oil co/real estate/medium sized bizz.
Be in abuja and know what is going on in your branch in lagos LIVE.
do you want to find out if your cashier is stealing money?
simply log on to my system where ever you are and see what ur cashier is up to.

am launching this project soon with some informative seminars at the sheraton and am
looking for experienced business men to partner with.

all I can say for now is that if my projections are correct, this will generate a cool N3.6M a month after first year.
holla at me if you are interested. smiley

hello nairalanders!!!,does any one think that cctv systems(live cams) that records who comes and goes would function well for nigerian banks!??
