[quote author=Iykegodslove post=129772686]Good day everyone!! I am emotionally shattered as I type this message. I have been suspecting my wife for years now but no concrete evidence to confront her. There is a boss of my mine who happens to be our family friend. Each time he calls my wife, she deletes the call history immediately. This has been happening for years but I keep quite because i love my wife and my children so much. Of recent, i decided to know what is happening by hacking her call with him. Lo and behold, they are into deep relationship that my wife calls him baby. Infact, sleep has gone out of my eyes and am thinking of how to deal with the situation. It should be noted that i am not working under the man in question only that we are church members and he has rendered countless of help to me. I am wondering what puts my wife into this mess. I am graduate but i decided not to work for anybody but to focus on my farming. I am doing well financially bcs i can boost of 500k or more every month. We are not lacking anything at all. Please house ignore my typo and help with good advice. Note: i dnt want to divorce my wife and am ready to forgive her bcs she has been of great help to my success and moreover, i love my family very well. What should i do to stop them?[/quote In the words of John Doe Agba on X; 1). Op, I've got this best advice for you. Kindly tell them that, "Due to the confidentiality agreement signed at my current employer which mandates me to keep my renumeration between myself and my employer, I am bound by oath not to share this information." OR They should let you know if this response of yours would be a blocker in processing with this process as they may need to write to your employer to waive this NDA. Best regards. |

As a commercial broiler & piggery veterinarian at one of the top farms in Nigeria, mine occurred on a specific day when I ran out of medications for my animals. I proceeded to a vet store to buy what I needed as I followed the procurement officers. I was just grinning and blushing in my head as the customer service representative brought out those medications, thinking that, mortality would start to decline. This is the moment I realize how deeply I care about the welfare of my animals. https://twitter.com/dee_dorwiz/status/1657645617525522434?t=Mk3nEDv5wbkSX4Ga2CpC3Q&s=19 Kindly share your experience.. |

Nigerians ain't finding it so easy with the scarcity of both old and new naira notes, which has plunged everywhere into chaos and initiate people to run a cashless scheme. This has critically affected SMEs, coupled with the fuel scarcity! I've been seeing different hilarious rates and would really love to hear from you..

Jobs/Vacancies / Have You Ever Gotten A Job Through A CV by Dogshow(m): 2:04pm On Jan 08, 2023 |
Gone are the days where HRs or Recruiters employ jobseekers based on their skills, expertise and competencies. We are in an era whereby most Nigerian jobs are based on recommendations, referrals, amongst others. Mine was even before I graduated from school that I've been rolling out multiple CVs due to the fear of the unknown, and not a single feedback up until now. I really do not know maybe there's something I'm just not doing right or is a Nigeria factor happening to everybody. I would like fellow nairalanders to share their experiences. 8 Likes 1 Share |

A school of thought has it that, the best of man is still man, which I held onto very firmly. But when it comes to the issue of getting employed, it is always dicey and/or perhaps, through some funny tales. To many others, it might be how someone influenced their indecision, while to some, it might be through fliers, social media, recommendation or what have you. I've heard instances of how the personality a young man greeted so warmly prior gaining accsss to the admin office, facilitated hs employment, as unknowingly, the person happens to one of the executive members. However, it's different strokes for different folks. I would like to hear from fellow nairalanders. 10 Likes |

As I did and further introduced myself, "I'm so so, a Nigerian****, the white lady instantly blocked me. Therefore, I quoted the tweet to the brand she works with, and those ones failed to do anything. During undergraduates era, we are quite familiar with the different activities like Literary and Debating Society, Sports, Enactus, JCI, Politics, amongst others, in which students who fully devoted their time have appraised a career from what they are today. Whilst the search for 3-5 years work experience from diverse HR or recruiters can be summed to the experiences obtained here, and we have folks who resisted the onus to subscribe as they desire to finish as the top of their class. However, there are no metrics to evaluate the significance of extracurricular activities, but believe me you, it has laid a solid foundation to the diligent ones. Dear Nairalanders, share with us one regret and why you refused to join and also, the ones you joined, what impact has it made of you innately. Mine: Politics because I was a campus journalist. Science/Technology / How I Emerged As BGS in OND, HND, and BSc"- UI First Class Student Speaks by Dogshow(m): 10:18am On Feb 01, 2022 |
In this interview with Chibuzor Augustine Sonde, the first child of a family of two who hailed from Imo State and emerged as the Best Graduating Student in Civil Engineering at the premier University of Ibadan for the 2020/2021 session. This young scholar took us through his exemplary academic prowess and highlighted how hard work and consistency is the passport to success in our academic Excerpts from the interview; Can you kindly introduce yourself? My name is Sonde Augustine Chibuzor, a recent civil engineering graduate of the University of Ibadan. I am the 1st child of a family of 2 children (a boy and a girl). A native of Imo State. But then, I use Ogun State as my state of origin You emerged as the Best Graduating Student in Civil Engineering at (OND & HND, Mapoly) and now claiming that giant stride in the premier University of Ibadan. How did you maintain such consistency? All glory be to God for the victory so far. In 2013, I made a CGPA of 3.57/4.0 in the Civil Engineering Department, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta which made me graduate as a "joint-best in the department" in the National Diploma (ND) category, while in 2016, I made a CGPA of 3.89/4.0 in my Higher National Diploma (HND) which made me finish as the best in the department and faculty of the same school. More so, I will attribute that to the principle my mum taught me while growing up. She said all that I am required to do at any time is nothing but my best… Even when I expected to be disappointed with some of my performances while growing up, she would scratch my hair with her hands and say, "I know you did your best, that's all I need!" So, doing my best at everything I find doing was integrated into my lifestyle, and the results have been so good. That's basically how I have been able to maintain consistency. You started your journey at the University of Ibadan as a 300 level student. How were you able to do this? Why did you consider the University of Ibadan when there are other institutions that offer your desired course? I have always loved the University of Ibadan as a little child or let me say the city of Ibadan. But then, I was made to believe that I wouldn't be able to gain admission into the school due to the level of competition associated with the institution. Interestingly, I believed it will be difficult gaining admission into the school due to my WAEC that wasn't so outstanding so to say… So, I had to settle for other Universities but was denied admission. I had to go to the Polytechnic just to satisfy my mum, and hope that my plan of gaining admission to University work out within my 2 years of National Diploma. Unfortunately, that still didn't work out as my Jamb score that year was 180. So, I concentrated on my National Diploma, graduated with a distinction and decided to put in for direct entry into Obafemi Awolowo University. But then, I would say the admission process at OAU wasn't clear. I still didn't know why my admission was denied… I was so disappointed in the admission process, and I had no choice but to return to the Polytechnic for my HND. As God would have it, I graduated with a distinction too, I decided to put in again for Direct entry into a school that can offer 300L admission. To the best of my knowledge, very few schools offer this admission (UI, Unilag, Unilorin, and one federal University in the North). So, with my research of these schools and many other schools. I concluded that the University of Ibadan is the school with the most transparent admission process… The challenge then was that UI admits just 1 or at most 2 candidates through HND Direct entry to Civil engineering. I decided to go for it, as I believe it will be better if I know I failed to the best-qualified candidate than to choose a school where I am not so sure of the transparency. Fortunately, I was the only candidate admitted as a 300L student into civil engineering that year. What is that aura that draws you to " Civil Engineering" anytime and reveal to us your reading strategy? The thing is, I tried running away from courses that involved Biology like medicine and the rest like that, and also move towards courses that do a lot of mathematics. Also, I stayed with a civil engineering guy when I went for UNAAB (now Funaab) post jamb. I admired him then. I do not have a structured reading pattern. I read anytime I feel like reading, but most times, I read very close to the exams and tests. Are you currently in a relationship, and if yes, would you like to share? Yes, I am in a full-time relationship. I could remember that day, I was new and walked up to her to ask for direction to the mathematics lecture theatre. I didn't know she was my coursemate. After the lecture, we proceeded to a seminar room for another lecture. I guess I had to do one or two things before joining them in the class. Immediately I set foot into the class like this…it was as if everywhere was dark, and she was just radiating. Lo and behold I couldn't resist the temptation… I later asked her out and things metamorphosised. She is really the best part of my studies in UI… Most people are of the notion that First class students are the "La cram La pour La forgette caucus, do you subscribe to this? This can be the reality in some schools. But here in UI, it's really not so, especially civil engineering department. The reason is that the questions asked are applied and they most times demand proffering solutions to real-life situations. For instance, the question can begin like Mr A's company is proposing to increase the capacity of his production by 50%, his options are to complement the existing machine with a small one, or change to the new technology. Advice Mr A… How do you want to cram for this kind of question? Of what benefit do you think Internship roles and project research has played a major contribution to your personal growth as a Tech enthusiast? Interning with reputable engineering firms have really been of great benefit to me. It avails me the opportunity of seeing the practical application of some of the things taught in class. I could see how software, phone applications help solve engineering problems. A course like civil engineering, where the total replacement of materials with eco-friendly ones are currently being undertaken requires one's research skills. One thing project research has equipped me with is how to identify gaps, proffer alternative solutions, and make informed decisions. What is your advice to the upcoming ones who would love to take a career in the Civil Engineering space? Attach yourself to a mentor, to a reputable firm as early as you can. Even when you feel, you don't know what they are doing. Just stay put, and run errands. It will be valuable in years to come. Basically, what would you like to be known for, and what are your future plans? I would like to be known for my impact either in engineering or otherwise. To be known as the person that expands the frontiers of Civil Engineering. Get a scholarship, and go to one of the finest engineering schools in the world. It's my utmost desire. Lastly, mention those people you're most grateful of? I appreciate my lovely mum Mrs Sonde Florence and my late Dad, Mr Sonde Chukwuma for being a supporting system. I will also like to honor the gift of men who are immeasurable like Mrs Agnes Oyinleye and my wonderful relatives. https://campusnewsng.com/2022/01/31/how-i-emerged-as-best-graduating-student-in-ond-hnd-and-bsc-ui-first-class-student-speaks/ .

BigDawsNet:As for your humble question, neutering is an elective procedure and i would advise that neutering a dog is based on age/size of your dog and the sole purpose of it.. I guess your dog must have been demonstrating some naughty behaviors like aggressiveness which must have warranted such. If this, you can go ahead as it will make your dog more calm, reduces the size of an enlarged prostrate and less fight with other dogs, but it can be contraindicated in some giant breeds of dogs like Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever predisposing them to some associated joint disorders and neoplasia. I hope this gives an insight. |

Good evening Nairalanders, In June this year, I applied for a fellowship program that took me roughly 3 weeks to finalize and submitted successfully. But I received the shock of my life after getting a "NO" Please note, it won't have been so traumatic if I had gotten the instant no after the day they promised to get back to us whether being shortlisted or rejected. It was after I sent a mail to one of the leading directors, and that one informed me to mail another recipient in which I did and got an instant "NO" as if they'd be waiting for my mail. So horrible! Fellow nairalanders, kindly share yours. 11 Likes 5 Shares |
