@shavel and the rest-what does this mean"your application has been finalised, contact the VAC to collect your passport and document".that is d response i got when i mailed d cdhc to inquire about my application which i submitted 3rd of May.please,i wil like u all in d house 2 read meanings to d statements.thankz in anticipatns of ur responses.

This is not a good report if u ask me. This is more like saying your urgency in enquiring made them decide/conclude on your application. You just go and confirm what's with the VAC...u may be lucky to pick a branded TRV! Have u done medicals?!!! Goodluck to u bro.

Hello house; I have an interseting question to ask. For somebody who has passed through college and completed a pgd program in Canada, and wants to apply for Masters study while in Canada, how will the person apply to a university for Masters study? Will he apply with his Nigerian undergraduate transcript(the student copy in his possession/contact the school in Nigeria for an official copy to be forwarded with letters of references) or use the completed college post grad cert.?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by DrealGio: 3:53pm On Jul 24, 2012
@Mercylicious, u remain one of the best hands in this forum. Note before, "refusal is never denial because nobody can deny u your destiny." Don't give up, brace up and try again. When u try again, don't forget to make the necessary corrections where necessary and remain cheerful like the usual Mercy I've always known in Nairaland. YES YOU CAN IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF: cheers!!

galala123:

Thanks, I also forgot to mention that I included my open ended contract with a world bank project based in washington, DC. I am a research assistant/ consultant to the organisation earning $400 per day (A day is 8 work hours) upon agreeing to perform a request for service (RFS). catch is that the work is not constant, when they need information from a ministry or agency, they write to ask if you can get it and then you agree on the number of days and once you submit your report, you also submit your bill and the payment is wired from the US. I put the contract in my package too.

The VO must have found it difficult to turn down your application. I believe that if you try again, u will get. More grease to your elbows bro. You dey fly < < <>!!!

These are criterias for the investors PRV program in Canada :
* Are u worth $1,600,000 (in assets,investment n cash)?
*Have u managed a business for at least 2years in the past 5years?

Alternatively,

*Have u in the course of Managerial cadre employment overseen 5 full time jobs for @ least 2years in the last 5years?
*Are u ready to make a passive investment of $800,000 in a Canadian bank for 5years ,after which your money will be returned?

Alternatively,

Are u ready to make an investment of $180,000 in a Canadian bank for 5years; for which the bank will finance the difference of $620,
000?

IF U MEET ANY OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA ,then u are prequalified to appy for immigration to Canada under the investors class

I second this post @galala123"" this will just do if u fall in any of these categories, otherwise u try with your transcript. I c ya spirit Soaring @dis ..my brother...!

bancan: hi guys,I hope you guys still remember my case. Anyways I went to the embassy on monday but got there around 2pm so I was told I can't be attended to at that time again that I should come around 9pm d next day,d next day I wasinformed of a job interview of a job I applied for that will take place on thursday and I will need my original docs,so I rushed to d embassy on tuesday morning to withdraw my application,I filled d form and wrote there dat I don't wish to withdraw it but I need my docs tomorrow for an interview,I also went further to explain my case well in d additional information column.the form was taken in and after waiting for over an hour I was called via phone from inside to come back by 3 that they want to process my request and give me my docs so I went to a fast food and sat down from 11am till 2.15pm,i returned to d embassy gate at about 2.30 I was called on phone almost immediately to come inside .I was relieved at last that at least they'll give me my application back and I'll stop d tracking madness since the intended travel date have passed. When I got in I was told to go for MEDICALS with my baby I was given the medicals envelope and told to go for it as soon as possible. I couldn't believe my eyes.I was like sorry my name is so so so so and I'm not going to study(thinking they've mixed me up with a student) but they were like we know you are the one. I am so so happy and grateful to Jesus cos I went there to withdraw but got medical request.thanks to all that encouraged me.

God is indeed faithful. He has proven it to u again and to all of us in this thread. So, relax for He is in control. What a touching testimony!!!

Take heart bro. But the word "bona fide"! That's a serious one, for it mean 'genuinity or realness', excluding falsehood, imitation and fakeness outta it. Please check it bro; what happened? I guess they scrutinized your documents and found out something. It can even be a mere call to a contact in your application and he says "No, I don't know him!." As for me, I'll deduce "that they issued a vaguely worded statement."

Get it right and try again. Finally, don't give up.'Tswell...!'

You are very correct my dear. So, what do u suggest? Should I work with Centennial? If yes, assuming I happen to get admission from the other schools much later, can I change schools on getting to Canada? I know that I will forfiet the money paid to Centennial. Please confirm. Thanks dearie.

Firstly, thanks for the reply. uOttawa & Queen's, 3.48, and the former made mention of contacting a will be supervisor, though one can still apply if he doesn't get any.

Hello house, I have this question to ask; my application to Centennial College has been confirmed successful and I'm asked to make a deposit of 1115 dols for the offer letter to be sent. Kinda worried now 'cos the other applications I submitted for masters study aint out yet and the schools are asking me to chill, that it takes 8-10 weeks for them to finally decide on my app.

Abeg, wetin una suggest? The thing is taking too much time and I expect them to know that their embassy in Nigeria usually take 4-6 months to process our applications. And the Centennial, once u pay, that one don go 'cos I can only get a refund if the embassy denies me **** shocked kindly info me on how to go about the ish. Thanks lovely peeps!!

galala123: Hello house,

Just got some bad news but news anyway.

My application has been assessed and is being returned to VFS. No medicals so I believe it is unsuccessful. Anyways, relieved after such a long wait. Would have done some things differently if I had the extra knowledge I have now by following this forum.

May the spirit of the forum live on.

Thanks, ladies and gentlemen; good breed of a great nation.

I feel your pains bro. It's not easy to wait that long and hear something like this, but in all, just believe that you have a great future ahead of u. Don't relent; never give up, and above all, apply what you've learnt in your next application. The Lord is your strength.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by DrealGio: 8:50pm On Jul 14, 2012
We've got plenty agents but I can hardly say what I stand to gain from them. The embassy is saying that they treat all applications as the same. Whether u pass through an agent to submit app or not. These agents mehn...em asking fee mad gon!

Thanks Moty for ya reply to my post. Going by the date u posted, I think its now. Just that I'm considering the fact that they might still be working on the September applicants, application. What do u think?

moty4all: 4 - 6 months before your school start date

VCTROKOYE: Please, the university said a candidate can only be admitted if a project supervisor agrees to supervise him. I have written to one and no response. Please I need a suggestion on what to do. Thanks

I'd suggest you go ahead with your application. Forget those supervisors, I doubt if they will reply. If your application is good and there's need for a graduate student to be admitted, they should take u. No guarantee though. Cheers!!!
