Politics / Re: Kidnapping: Soldiers Arrest Reverend Father by ducci: 11:04am On Oct 18, 2010
Baffles me how people are quick to jump to the defence of a suspect because he is a priest. Very surprising and stupid for someone to even be mentioning vow of silence, i can now imagine why the problem lingered for long in that area. Somebody even claimed he knows him personaly so he shuoldnt be arrested, shut up! Another said he is innocent because he does not collect funds for baptism etc in his former parish. One even said the jtf should go back to Abuja and stop making arrest. The mediocre comments are just too much that i now see why our dear country cant move forward, sentiments and ignorance has deeply eaten into our system, even more than corruption. Also amazing how some pessimist dont see anything good in the job carried out by security agencies. Some are so ignorant that they dont even know that the operations of the military is always deliberately planned before execution i.e with enough combat intelligence, not just jumping into a village and arresting or shooting everyone, as some are insinuating. Yes, there might be flaws but so it is with all armies, infact if you dont know 25% casualty is allowed in almost all operations. Its because of comments of ignorance from nigerians that the jtf in warri then had to activate her propaganda/psychological operations unit, because people were actualy stupidly believing the propaganda of the militants that they were winning the battle on jtf troops in the N/D, which was far from real, was just that JTF then wasnt orderd to take them out but figth only in the defensive. Please allow them to do their job as they know best, they will definately liberate abia without noise and return to their barracks. one thing is for sure, nigerian troops have never in history failed in any operation they have partaken in, just pray sha that you dont fall an innocent casualty. if u dont have a reasonable comment to make then keep quite and lets enjoy the battle and stop concluding like GEJ
Politics / Re: Jonathan Replaces Police Boss And Service Chiefs by ducci: 7:50pm On Sep 09, 2010
Lets clear the air, the President cannot just decide to sack a military officer even for the fact that the officers rank is called a " presidential commission" and the president is the C-IN-C of the Armed Forces. The officer has to commit an offence whereby he will have to face a General Court Martial (GCM) and found guilty, which will also be subject to confirmation by the Army Council comprising of the MOD, SGF,COAS etc, they sit once in a year. Its not realy an easy process to retire or dismiss an officer, one of the reasons is that the amount used to training an officer from cadetship is too much to imagine. Only thing is that their is a clause in the military TACOS (Terms and Conditions of Service) which permits that an officer can be retired on the basis of "service no longer required",even at that, an offence against the Army Act must be established. All officers append their signatures to it b4 being commissioned and recieving their official parchment signed personaly by the president. The thing no be army plc o,na armed forces.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Replaces Police Boss And Service Chiefs by ducci: 10:47am On Sep 09, 2010
The Svc Chiefs were since due for change due to their long years of service, they have been expecting it since GEJ took over(guess its no surprise to them), also considering the fact that the stability of the polity depends much on such appointments, every new regime needs to come in with his own loyalist to guarantee his security, that of the nation, and of course do his bidding. The appointment of the COAS is more important in this regard because they are the land forces and their strength is about double that of the other 2 services (air and maritime combined), they also have presence in all parts of the country. The changes thou politicaly inclined because of the timing is also a good and welcome dev in the forces due to several dissafection among the ranks were marginalization in the army was claimed to be the other of the day. The move does not necc mean other Maj Gen will be retiring like someone speculated, depends on the NDA Course of the new COAS, gues he is of Course 18, and so those above him will either be retired or moved to departments under the Defence HQ were they will answer to the Defence Chief. O yes the new Army Chief will be promoted to Lt Gen so he becomes above others, he will thereby select his cabinet were some people will be uplifted and others loose theirs. I think the Army is more proffessional than what a lot of us think, atleast if compared to a lot of other organizations, they also got a lot of brains there too, thing is, we mostly just jugde by the low ranking ones we see, try mixing with the officers you will understand were am coming from.
Politics / Re: Wow! Like Bakassi, Obudu Going, Going, Gone To Cameroon? by ducci: 1:37pm On Aug 04, 2010
some of you, nayah and co make me laf a lot.Its ignorance that is actualy your problem since you can even compare cameroun military to nigerian military,do you even know what a military migth is,in terms of manpower, equipment, resources, training, capabilities, records, morale etc?of course you dont.the ratio between nija and cameroun in all this aspects is about 50:1. With the armaments nija military have,it wouldnt need to really record any casualty on own side, because we dont need to reach yaounde before it falls, launcher missiles will be sent by air, land and sea before ground troops invade to consolidate. Now, it also amazes me when I hear nigerians believing the military couldnt handle militants,do you know the rules of engagements there?we dont attack without provocation. It would have taken the nija military 4hrs to clear out those militants, forget about the propaganda you hear, its politics, the militants are nigerians, no president will order it during his time, reason, he will pay for it in international criminal court someday.i even wonder why this comparism can be made, maybe possible in another lifetime or 200 years.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs USA: 4 - 2! @ Women's U-20 World Cup by ducci: 10:13pm On Jul 25, 2010
goooooooo, galzzzzzz.proud of you, meanwhile prince or whoever you are,i wonder why people are wasting their time to explain morals to you, please leave him alone,if he couldnt get it at that age, then he will never, thats the new world we live in,gues he faces his parents to tell them that whenever they say something unfavourable to him, i expected he gave kudos to the president for changing his mind after considering yearnings of the people.
Politics / Re: Ibb Seeks N500 Billion Defence Contract For Presidential Race by ducci: 8:06pm On Jul 24, 2010
Mmmh, our people with their criticisms.Who said that the cash is even enuf to tackle the defence issues, military hardwares are expensive my friend. And do you expect the military to wait for war before it replenishes its old stocks, are you aware of peacetime training, peacekeeping missions and other protective duties ongoing? dont you also feel they should be given good accommodation and other basic requirements?we migth  only just sleep everyday without knowing what is happenin or forestalled out there.I wonder also how dambazau, yayale, kayode have done wrong,do you expect them to sit and watch their prestigiuos institutions decay during their time? I think the only prayer should be for the funds to be well utilized if and when approved.I also advice the poster of that military document to be wary of such next time cos its a classified document, whoever(military personnel) must have taken and published it is a SABOTEUR and will be charged accordingly when caugth(because he will be). My view, thanx for the attention
Crime / Re: Soldiers Batter 3 Lastma Officials! by ducci: 9:19pm On Jul 22, 2010
serves the lastma guys rite if thats the kind of treatment they give lagosians. The soldiers i believe were wrong to beat up members of a recognized state agency though , but i think there must have been a congent reason for it, and not the misjointed story we just read,i wonder why our journalist cannot get the other side of the story before relaying such a sensitive issue.  But fellow colleagues i assure u, the military will look into it,believe it or not things have changed there, unless they are not discovered. And for donosky or wateva u call urself, you are an embarrasment to the law profession if thats how you stupidly jump into matters without good jugdement or investigating ,especialy military issues.Who are you trying to impress,if your claim of contributing to the dsmissal of some military guys is true,i advice you to sleep with one eyes open and watch your back. You are even posting your email,i feel like setting you up but you be my guy, just be careful ehn.
Politics / Re: Pastor Okotie Blasts Jonathan Over Soccer Ban Reversal by ducci: 2:05pm On Jul 08, 2010
The name of the game is called 'the more u hear/see the more u understand'.I wouldnt give u the details, but know that the whole thing was a ruse orchestrated by Amos Adamu for the purpose of cleansing the glass house without fifa raising eyebrow on it, hence the impeachment of Lulu and co.Why u think anoda 24hrs was added to the deadline? To allow for a smooth impeachment to take place.Be informed that Sepp Blatter was unofficialy in the know. The end justifies the means was the aim.So please wise once dont join ignorant Okotie to castigate, look beyond the initial action.thanx
Politics / Re: Nigeria Assumes Presidency Of Un Security Council by ducci: 12:13pm On Jul 01, 2010
hmmm, go nija. Its good to know we are becoming big players at the world stage, especially our troops participation in various UN missions the world over, also we have several nigerians working as staff of the UN. Problem however is for it to translate to something meaningful back here at home. Why do we always represent outside and fail to put our house in order?God help us,maybe one day it shall come to pass.
Politics / Re: Goodluck Jonathan To Interact With Nigerians Via Facebook- Brilliant Idea! by ducci: 6:03pm On May 18, 2010
people like kobojunkie or wateva u call urself are suffering from "i too know".when given the opportunity to contribute their quota they cant do jack, yes, we have seen their likes.they cant applaude any good step by government no matter how glaring, they expect change to come in one day and nija to turn america in a flash.so tell me,when obama opened fcbk, did u criticize?secondly, was it a positive or negative measure for obama?didnt he have any other bill to chase when he was facebkg?u dont even argue like a good analyst,i suspect some pple are in nairald to front for the opposition party in nija.i mean, u cant just condemn the whole idea.u didnt even check the context at which he made the speech, for your knowledge,he was trying to reach out to his alma mata and identify with the current means of comm amonsgt students etc.he could even tell them that he will come for their grad party.and for those of you that keep blaming everything on the military, yes they did badly but what have our own civilians done if not to fitgh in parlament and share money.please lets be objective.GJ ride on jare, allow enemies of progress,
Food / Re: Eating Yam Without Water Can Be Ruled As Suicide Pls Don't Try It. by ducci: 7:13pm On May 13, 2010
wats hapenin, dont we have doctors on the forum to provide there specialist advice? not that i depend on them anyway, because the next you wil here is, water is good for your system or too much of water is not good,or dont take water till after eating or take water only after eating.Just as they will say red wine is good for digestion and the same time say alchohol is bad for you health.Abeg make them comot, anyhow man go survive till baba God call am.Sweet potatoes is however the most dangerous, anyone felt its impact before?please dont do it without water no matter how hungry you are.For me,i will always try eating with water by  my side and i urge ya all to follow suite
Politics / Re: President Goodluck Jonathan Nominates Kaduna Governor, Sambo, As VP by ducci: 1:50pm On May 13, 2010
The most important thing here is for the president to choose who he can work with in the interest of the nation, while also preparing in anticipation for the upcoming election.i read some shallow analysis espec by becomrich,it will take me some 20 lines to reply the several errors in ur  submission, but just bear this in mind,in politics 1+1 isnt 2. Also know that its not only and always about ethnicity, its more about party and personal interest in nigeria,so you can derive your analysis using this indices. How can you even bring Turai into this. For ur info,Murtala Yaradua took the offer contrary to Turai and co wishes, this was because she segregated them when she was in power.Pse i like this forum but will prefer if we think and follow events objectively before posting
Politics / Re: Soyinka And Tinubu Shun Oshiomhole's One-Man-One-Vote Rally In Benin City! by ducci: 12:55pm On May 01, 2010
its now glaring that some NRLanders just read a post, without even analysing or atleast making enquiries they just reason irrationaly and post a reply like they got itchy fingers. To begin, who said the rally was organised for IBB?did you see the guest list for the event or even know the Theme for the event? Why didnt you say the other occassions IBB attended such as the one in Ogun state was for him. If you havent noticed,he has been tranversing all important occassions probably to test the waters. Why do you also think Oshoms should have informed Soyinka and co of IBB presence?Must you tell or announce all the guests you invited to a rally to all the invitees? While not completely exonorating Oshoms for inviting the evil man, lets dont just castigate Oshoms for betrayal as some "Nothing can ever please me" NRLanders do.Some analysis are so shallow and out of point that i wonder if we are on the same page.Keyamo did well for staying to use the forum to drive home the feeling of Nigerians,i thouth our nobel laureate should have done same, because if you can criticize everyday on the papers why not do so physicaly face to face.
Politics / Re: Breaking News: Jonathan Removes Maurice Iwu by ducci: 8:32pm On Apr 30, 2010
GJ has done well so far,at least its a good step, its called a gradual step to the reforms.i sometimes wonder what some people want, even if GJ sacks himself from presidency they will complain.many dont even know much on iwus complicity in several states during elections, they just wake up and critisize the move, when even the international community is aware of his atrocities. If you cant see the fault in Iwu as head of the worst and dubiously conducted elections in africa, then you mite as well not blame IBB for june 12 cancelation.Wat i want to ask those complainin is that, wuld you have prefered iwu to oversee the 2011 election?when someone has done or is doing well, lets support him and not criticise please.
Celebrities / Re: Jackie Appiah: Best Actress In Africa by ducci: 11:19pm On Apr 20, 2010
leave the girl nah,she undoubtably deserve it.our so called nija actors have to be given good competition so they can improve, besides, what role did genny etc play in the period under review, dont just look at her overall performance in the past years.
Sports / Re: Lagerback's list of 44 released by the NFF by ducci: 4:43pm On Apr 20, 2010
my basic problem with this list is that it is too large. Also, while the injection of some home based players is commendable,i dont see a diference with the former lads, maybe we wait till the final 23.
Politics / Re: Ibb- Nigeria’s Break-up Impossible. by ducci: 12:32am On Apr 19, 2010
i think IBBs example is apt in trying to reply Gadaffis statement, lets try not to criticize him unnecessarily.Yes he could be trickish for what i know but he picks his statements carefully.U can only know if u are a good observer.Confirm my assertion from the press.Doesnt mean i am his protagonist though.
