These people are very, very very, wicked. The ways they keep telling lies about Jonathan achievements are very, very, very painful.l refuse to be part and party to this,God forbid.l thank God that l have my permanent voter's card and my polling unit is just 2 to 3 minutes walk from my house.

I have a friend that works in the Fed University Otuoke, she told me last week that there is no water, no hostel, no good road connection etc. the only good hostel there is the one donated by the Presidents mother. She advised me that if I know anybody that is considering universities, I should advise the person against Otuoke. I dont see the so called achievements except in the TV and some magazines shocked shocked

Lol thanks for replying. grin

Mom2015, I'm Atlanta bound oh....in fact I read that my old post and I dunno what the hell I was thinking considering El paso and Arizona lol.

@Ritrit u haven't read the thread as u are quoting posts from 6 months back and asking same questions.

Meanwhile, all these people quoting Tvegas long posts just to say congrats or asj for email, u people are making it harder for phone users to scroll through. angry undecided

That you didnt use El Paso and Arizona does not warrant your statement. All US hospitals have certain minimum and maximum requirements before you can operate. So for those hospitals to be given license, they met those criteria s. Besides, its the blue pali thats the concern of most of us weather you delivered in George Bush personal hospital, El Paso or Arizona. I delivered my baby in El Paso last Sept and got excellent service from both Hospital and Doctors that I wouldn't even get in those over hyped hospitals in Lagos and Abuja. With epidural and no hidden charges.

Hello my good people. It's been a couple of days I posted here as I have been busy packing for my trip.

I am happy to inform the house that I finally landed in HOUSTON On 26 Aug and my POE exp was effortless. Flew United Airline. Can u imagine that I was not asked a single questions and I was stamped in for six months. Our flight arrived late by 1 hrs 15 mins and they appeared to be in a hurry to clear the batch of people. Therefore went for screening of foods and off I go.

Will stay a few days in Houston n will be heading to El Paso on 1st Sept.

@Miri7n5b, pls inbox me ya number. Need to speak with you ASAP.

Thanks to all contributors of this great forum.

Note: if u declared your intentions at d embassy and have some reasonable cash to cover your bills, there is no need to be afraid of using Houston as POE.

SophiaLisa: Hello Ladies,

God bless you all now and in advance!

Biko I need clarification.

My SIL wants to deliver in the USA. We have relatives in New York and we specified their address as where we (my SIL, my Bro and I) will be staying pending her delivery and afterwards.

We have been in contact with NY hospitals such as Mount Sinai, Montefiore and St. John's Episcopal but they only sent bills and there has been no other mail from them even after my continuous calls and follow up emails.

Truth be told, their prices are HIGH from as USD$10, 963 to USD$22,600.

Well, since they stopped responding, we called around some affordable hospitals like Mercy Medical Centre, St Charles Hospital, Lincoln Hospital and Bronx Lebanon Hospital but they all said that they do not send email correspondences and only attend to clients who come in for physical tests.

Thankfully, through Nairaland and the wonderful contributors, DoctoresParati is the best bet in terms of cost, customer service and feedback.

However, it is in Dallas Texas! sad

Now my question is this: How do we convince the Visa Officer at the Lagos embassy that we are staying in NY but will have the baby in Texas? Please reply abeg. The interview is in TWO Weeks!!!

God Bless you all immensely!!!!

Its simple. tell the visa office the truth i.e your major place of stay will be NY while the birthing city/hospital is in Texas. All you have to do is to make contact with doctores parati and get an appointment confirmed, book accommodation for the period you think you will leave NY for Texas. If asked why are you not using any hospital in NY, simply state that Doctores para ti meet your family budget for the birthing. hope this helps

modaofnations: Pls Ladies in d huse, I need help concerning dis situation. Has anyone heard about this setting of the womb tin? How true is it? I was once told my womb was not set becos d semen pours out frm my vagina after intercus. but d process of setting was so painful dat I ran away even afta payment. But I rememba d woman saying even after conceiving tru any method, so long as d womb isn't set, baby will not stay. Pls do I need 2 go do dat b4 d ivf. I need advise pls as I want to try IVF

Pls run away from those deceptive mid-wives. They always have one message when they find nothing is wrong with you. they will come up with the womb setting. I was told the same thing when i was TTC for the first child. meanwhile, it was DH that had issues. This is exactly the same words I was told " even if you conceive without the womb being set, the pregnancy will not stay". all are fallacies as I conceived and never had miscarriage of that pregnancy. I advise you to consult a physician and probably do a scan to examine your uterus.

bestie101: hi everyone.
I've been a silent follower before the site was wiped.
pls is there anyone who has had twins in el-paso or is having twins? is the cost different?
plus I won't have anyone to help me when I give birth... sad hope the officer won't use this as an excuse

You definitely will need help when returning. airlines permits one adult to a child or infant. As regards help in El Paso, am sure there are baby sits recommended by Doctores Parati if you require their services. Besides, there are lots of other naija moms around that render support to one another. As for the cost, am sure you pay a little additional to normal prices (not very sure) but pls check their website, everytin is stated.

I have tried what u said, even tried it again this morning, a blank page comes up telling me that the reservation was successful and to expect email shortly but nothing after that, I have tried with three different browsers firefox, internet explorer and google chrome, so i think its not a browser compatibility problem. if anybody has gotten a booking from intown suites in the last 1 week kindly explain to me how it was done.

Thanks.

Perhaps, you do it through their reservation line at +1 800-553-9338. Sometimes their website can be funny. It happened to me but I kept trying it until it went through one of these days.

Pls how did you the booking from intown suites, I have been trying to book but i dont seem to get any reservation email sent to my box even when it says so on their site. I have cross checked my email and its very correct, I'm stock with intown suites now cos thats what I filled in my visa application as where we will be staying, I dont want to raise any form of suspicion by booking another hotel in el paso.

After completing your online booking, click send and wait for som seconds or mins and the reservation confirmation will appear. Print and use. Note that u must wait to print it as this is not sent to your email addy.

kpofkpof: Please can anyone in the house give me a reliable hospital in the US where i can go for Fibroid treatment. I have been having difficulty in conceiving and upon investigations, they realised that i have multiple Fibroids which may have blocked my fallopian tubes as their HSG report says Bilateral Tubal Blockage

I want to use the US considering the pecularity of this case.

Looking forward to urgent and genuine responses.

Have u tried Kedi products for fibroids?. Lots n lots of testimonies abound on this product.

Tvegas: El paso veterans, kindly give your suggestions. How do I make an affordable hotel reservation that we can show at the embassy during interview. I need something not more the $1200 per month. We are travelling by December and the rates I got on booking.com are extremely high. I also contacted his grace lodge just to make reservation and it seems they request payment up front, which I am not comfortable with.

Pls make online reservation with Intown suites and you will receive instant reservation comfirmation. This is what we used during our visa interview. You will not be asked to pay any money until u arrive there. It's also within your budget compared to other options like Ramada.

momofangels: Hello everyone. I am presently in El paso and have been since Thursday actually. Got in through Chicago and everything went well.if anyone is considering going through Chicago I think ts ok.
Not a lot of questions, they also didn't check my bags just asked if I had fresh food to which I responded "no" since all my food items were dry.they also asked why I am in the US?, why I chose el paso, which hospital in El paso as well as how much I had.
what is my husband's occupation, what's mine? What was I doing prior to this time?
No direct questions for my hubby or mum.made a lil joke with my kids on how grown they were and that was it .
Little tip for those of us still coming, you don't have to go through the long queue at any Poe, u can tell an officer there that you are pregnant so u can be moved to an expedited queue.worked for me twice.Good luck everyone.

Thank God for your smooth PoE. We give God all the glory. Looking forward to seeing you there.

shelly23: Please i'm still waiting for help with information on affordable hospitals/birth centers to give birth in Orlando Florida. Thanks
It's my first pregnancy and I don't want to go to El Paso or Phoenix cos I'll be going by myself and will rather stay where I have people. They are also helping me look, but the cheapest they've sent me so far is $17,000.
PLEASE I'D REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP AT ALL. thanks

Before you take this decision, please weight the cost of staying with 'your people' and what you are going to pay. From previous posts (may have been wiped off due to the cyber attack), its been stated that Maryland, Florida and other major cities are very expensive and in most cases, you pay even more than the quote given at the beginning. In a nutshell, please weight the options constructively before taking your final decision except you are the 'president's dota.

Hope to leave on the 16th of September.

Pls make sure you understand their policy regarding preggy women ooh. Arik hostesses can be overzealous at times when they see a preggy woman.

Politics / Re: Situation Report: Power Supply In Your Area by egariyi(f): 12:41pm On Jul 11, 2014
In Phc especially Mgbuoba, Rumuokoro, Choba, its been total darkness since more than 4 months now. Its now 1 day of 2-3 hrs supply and one week of absolute darkness. This has always been attributed to vandalisation of their transmission system which they dont care to fix. Afterall, there is always the fixed monthly rate to be collected.

On a second note, why is the private investors always attributing their inefficiencies to vandalism and gas supply. These issues were there when phcn/nepa were in charge and yet we got better supply. why is it worst now even at private management? :oIn
