Macphenson: Sometimes one wonders if the insecurity in the east is not government induced. Even before the agitation, the SE, especially Anambra state appeared like a goldmine for extortion. The Niger bridge at both ends is the most policed. You find the army, police, road safety, touts in their numbers, all extorting citizens. That Niger bridge bypass is annoying. There are two check points there. There’s one immediately after Dozy and that one right under the bridge. They serve to wickedly extort keke riders, truck owners and bus owners. The impunity is unbelievable. Next is the Navy checkpoint at Odo rubber. That one is complete madness, especially in the evenings. Citizens are very sure to spend very long time waiting for Navy personnel to collect their bribes and let them move. These lower cadre of the security forces are those who made our security organizations look horrible. While government makes all possible to ensure that they receive the remunerations, they must not keep making security lax and put the lives of citizens are risk. I hope that someday things can be put right. |

There definitely must be a secret known to only Fubara and Wike that enables Fubara continuously poke his fingers into Wike’s eyes without fear. They say an elder who plays in the sand with a child expects to know that he’s rubbing faeces on his hands. Does it have to do with cheating financially? Will we ever hear the real story behind the disagreement? 9 Likes |

At 52 years and 2 months old. Has 18 years to go as a judge and an opportunity to become a Supreme Court judge, with the retirement age at 70. Wike has to remain politically relevant , in Rivers state otherwise his wife may not attain the Supreme Court level. Congratulations to her and her family. 1 Like 1 Share |

So sad, so painful. What should the owner now do in these difficult times? How would such amount be found again? Infact those eggs go for as much as 5,200 per crate in some areas. What a horrible loss. 59 Likes 7 Shares |

Chrisrare:Did he score the goal? Did he contribute to his country’s victory? Now you talk about his name and fame with others. Whether he was nonexistent or not is immaterial now. What matters now is the joy that he brought to his country, family and fans worldwide. |

After killing the woman’s first son. How are these people so evil? How has our government allowed such evil people to thrive all over the nation? If not for corruption, how have we not acquired proper fighting equipments to completely wipe out these evil people and make our societies safe? How can non state actors kill citizens and get away with it with such impunity? How long will these wickedness continue in our country? 1 Like |

SmartyPants: Don’t mind him. A simple definition of cyberstalking would have helped him. When you make repeated unwanted contact with someone by calling, emailing, texting, messaging, or asking inappropriate questions. When you repeatedly send, post or share unwanted sexual requests, sexual or offensive content, abusive comments, or false accusations to or about someone, you cyberstalking the person. Cyber trolling is a form of cyberbullying, involving the posting of abusive, threatening, or harassing content on social media or other online platforms. It can have detrimental effects on victims, causing emotional distress, anxiety, and depression. Like physical stalking, cyberstalking can lead to physical violence. Victims suffer psychological trauma, often resulting in anxiety, depression, insomnia and even loss of employment. In this case, the young man threatened the child of the woman with death on social media. Did he cause her anxiety, fear, worry or depression? Did he make her fear for her safety and the safety of her son or family? It is now up to the court to sort it out and not this lawyer who wants to become an overnight super star lawyer, confusing the gullible and preparing them for jail terms. The young man even arrogantly told the woman to use him as an example. Did he not read it? Cyberstalking is an offence under the previous section 24 of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act 2 2015 (the Principal Act) and section 24 of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) (Amendment) Act (Amended Act). With the amendment to Section 24(1), cyberstalking which has been limited to pornographic content or contents a sender knows to be false, to cause a breakdown of law and order, or to pose a threat to life, still has “threat to life” as a crime. Would he have said those careless words to the son of a military man, in the Nigeria where we live and know? 2 Likes |

That’s the way it should be for now. That’s the position per the Supreme Court ruling in 2012. One wonders where the confidence and hope come from with the Wike/Amaewhule side. Mr. Falana put it the way it should be. He said their defection means their loss of their seat become “automatic”. They are in delusion and claiming not to have decamped is tantamount to fools paradise. Again, they on their own made reference to their defection in one of the matters with the courts. Or e of them Alabo George declared after the meeting last December that they would not return to PDP. Sadly, those among them who were first time legislators lost their seats. Their constituents do not have representation as it stands. In all Fubara went ahead of them again with the courts yesterday. How they intend to navigate these hurdles is yet to be seen. There is no need to delay. INEC must do the needful by organizing by elections to fill the seats. 1 Like |

AuntyJolade: Ah ha, so you remember this matter. Not too long ago, he was requested DNA of the children. Now it has become that the same children are his and must be returned to him, even using DSS, instead of the regular police. Anyway, all that we hear are expected when there’s a divorce matter. The lawyers appear to advise their clients on what to say to the judges. These same words are heard in the high courts and lower courts. They need to prove infidelity, fraud, maltreatment, harm and injustice. Once proven, you hear that the marriage broke down irretrievably. |

And the demands are so heavy. Asking for such hefty sums and greed kept bringing them back for more. Their targets usually are traders based in Festac, Alaba, trade fair and Ladipo markets. Thankfully the evil rats from hell have been destroyed. Hopefully the ones who escaped are caught or quickly neutralized by the bullets that they received in the evil bodies. Mostly we must all keep this security vigil in our environments. See something, say something quickly. If you cannot speak with the DPO around you, please send information to the state police command nationwide and they”ll act on it. I believe that our police can do the necessary jobs. 6 Likes |
