Politics / Re: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by Faeb: 6:41pm On Dec 28, 2010
Miss EZ:

I still think the best play would be for PAt and Ribadu to join forces, that way they can pool their supporters together to get a larger number of votes

Ribadu is another none starter. Please, he isn't nearly of the calibre of Pat Utomi, all his interviews are disgraceful and display a fearful lack of depth; whereas Pat Utomi has class, charm, intelligence, charisma, depth. . .  I could go on!
The only thing Pat Utomi lacks is grassroots organisation (maybe he is arrogant or just naive). Ribadu is a mere fad that has nothing in common with Utomi, he lacks everything Utomi has. Even worse, he also lacks the only thing Utomi doesn't have, grassroots support; nobody knows Ribadu in his home state.

If you must link a progressive Northerner with Utomi, it must be the likes of Mjr. Umar or El Rufai (I tilt more towards El Rufai).
Politics / Re: We Can Solve Our Problems: Ivorians Tells Nigeria by Faeb: 6:25pm On Dec 28, 2010
A country that declares half its population to be foreigners, not just that, but all Northerners, really deserves to be invaded.
It is so despicable and disgusting! How can black people impose apartheid on themselves and some clowns here are justifying it? How?

Abeg, lets roll in the tanks. If Gbagbo's ears are blocked, bombs can reopen them and missiles can cause morality and intelligence to re-engage.

Gbagbo easily wins the fool of the year award.

I really pity Ribadu. Spat out like a peace of dirt after being used. embarassed
The man should have kicked off his ambition in his state, perhaps as a Senator (as has been widely adviced). Right now, his political career is effectively over, he has sadly joined Nigeria's ranks of political no-hopers, the Chris Okotie's, "Abubakar" Saraki's and Dele Momodu's.

The above, of course is barring any last minute miracles.

ikay88:

It really is a shame that our current federal government is only reactive in nature. On the flipside if the unit is setup and maintained properly as stated in the article (to the letter), then it should be able to handle the task and bring the territory to its former peace.

I hope the FG advisers can see the potential in this method of locality specialised security and intelligence gathering. If each state were to have such units liaising with each other and other security agencies crime in general would be greatly reduced. It would not be cheap handling all the pensions, healthcare, remunerations, etc but then again securing the lives and properties of 150 million cannot be 'beans'. (I guess thats why the US had to setup the FBI and such)

Brother, it is quite clear the way the nation is headed. With each step govt takes out of necessity, we move one step closer to true federalism. Thats where the boat is going and our only route out of chaos.

jamace:

This will NOT solve the problem. Kaduna case was purely religious but Jos issue erupted from land ownersip and political relevance by the Hausa/Fulanis.

Reasons for failure:
-The 10,000-man are still Nigerians and will behave as Nigerians- corrupt from head to toe.
-The religious affilliation will still be there. Muslims protecting muslims and christians protecting christians.
-The "who is a fool syndrome", money for hand, security is assured irrespective of evil deed being done.
-Arrested criminals not dealt with by authorities make the security forces lackaidaisical.
-A legislator will earn N29m per month and a security man earns N30k per month and you expect wonder from the security man?
-Looters of treasury command respect while honest men are called fools, so, "who is a fool".
-Nationalism is dead, therefore the security forces will go for personal interests.
-Security men who are wounded on active duty are left to their fate, so who will risk his life?
-Next-Of-Kin of security men who die in active service suffer like hell due to delayed or never paid benefits, so who wants his family to suffer?
-Our leaders talk about good leadership but only use their positions to better their family life. Why not the security men too?
-The core issue of indigene-settler dichotomy in Jos has not been tackled by the federal govt.

To me, I see another white elephant project.
Don't be suprised, our politicians are already jostling for the juicy contract for the logistics. grin. Who is a fool?

The new army is simply a clever way of side-stepping the compromised one that keeps turning away when murderers wish to let loose. It is bringing in new people who have no stake in the Jos crisis, the army is gradually being quietly purged of nuisances and trouble makers. The major hacking has been done in the past with the sacking of Service Chiefs and GOC's, now its time for brain power to do the rest.

As for being just a white elephant, the military option is not the only thing being implemented:

Apart from the security outfit, the Federal Government is also looking into fully implementing the report of the Solomon Lar-led Presidential Advisory Committee which recommended the setting up of a truth and reconciliation commission as a way of tackling the crisis.

The committee also recommended ending the indigene-settler dichotomy and redesigning Jos, the Plateau State capital, to reflect the needs of all ethnic groups residing in the city.

There is hope in what is being laid out, especially as the successful Kaduna model is being used as a template. In fact, this is an ultra souped up version of the Kaduna solution.

Cowards preach fear and die several times, because they are scared of the unknown. Every single part of Nigeria can prosper without the rest of the country, just the same way the country can prosper with a little thought. The problem is worsened because, many like yourself have lost the ability to think and be creative; those crucial aspects of moving forward and developing have been overtaking by primal instincts that see the weaker ones amongst us seeking solace in either religion or ethnic bigotry (or both).

Every single one of us needs to man up and stop seeking to crowd with ethnically bigoted herds like thoughtless beasts. We cannot afford to be thoughtless in these times, because brainpower and compromise alone will get us out of the mess we are in.

Thank you. I have visited them and can confirm that they don't need 'a handout'. They are a society of fishermen and farmers, their source of livelihood has been destroyed. The land they used to till now oozes crude oil, the rivers they used to fish in are black with crude oil. The problem needs to be fixed, a handout will not do or fix the problem.

These environmental problems are not irreversible, Obama showed us how multinationals should be dealt with, he did this in days. The clueless, cowardly and compromised leaders in Nigeria have not responded to this problem for decades. The question is why have they not responded?

In this same space of time one of the most modern cities in Africa has been built in Abuja, so please tell me why the environmental degradation in the Niger Delta can't be fixed?

My brother, let us face facts, so long as the Niger Delta continues to bleed, Nigeria will not know peace or progress.

Tell am jare!
What we need is a system that is representative of the citizen, protects them, ensures their fundamental rights and rewards their creativity and labour. Nigeria fails every single one of the above; we need to either dismantle and rebuild our federalism or let each sub nation do the walkies.

A good starting point would be a debate that leads to a contract that concretises the definition of "Nigerian", state-citizen responsibilities and marshals a Nigerian ideology. Without this, we will continue to bumble along with drunken steps that lead only to backwardness, a meaningless geographic entity with an anarchic population; staggering from failure to greater failure.

Thousands of Nigerians in Ivory Coast are now living in fear. If ECOWAS attack Ivory Coast they fear revenge killings against the Nigerian community in Ivory Coast. Hundreds of Nigerians living in Abidjan already received death threats. That is the more reason the savage called Gbagbo needs to be smoked out. Who are they threatening? Ivory Coast is a country that doesn't even have an airforce, talkless of navy.

The site is definitely non-nigerian.The bombing apart from it being an act committted by politicians,is non-nigerian. If the Fulanis wanted to attack and cause mayhem on christmas eve, they would have simply called their brothers from neighboring states or countries and with deadly weapons struck at night. The website is more or so propaganda to make the country uncontrollable.

You have very plausible points. It is possibly an act of politicians with foreign connivance (what with the recent Iranian rockets saga).

But this gung-ho attitude does not make sense.

There is nothing like "Qatarra," the mans name is Ouattara. It is only on NL that the name starts with q.
Its always better to read about issues before commenting on them.

As for how a war can be won in enemy territory, ask the Sierra Leonians and Liberians who are still grateful to Nigeria.
in Gbagbo's last interview with Al Jazeera, he was hinting that he actually only wants a part in Outtara's govt. Nigeria and ECOWAS have known this all along and are saying, ain't gonna happen. You lose an election and leave, not wade through blood in the hope of a govt post.

Ivory Coast doesn't even have an airforce, and when they did it consisted of about two helicopters. Someone remind about how wars can be won in foreign lands! grin

9ijaMan:

I sometimes wonder how people reason. On the one hand you are spamming NL with your blind support for GEJ to becomes 9ja's president come 2011, while on the other hand you are here calling for the break-up of the country. Just wondering, out of curiosity, how GEJ can become the president of a divided nation.

Perhaps it'll do you (Beaf/Faeb) a lot of good to refrain from contributing in threads if you can not make a simple decision wrt taking a well defined stand. Most of your posts suggests you are currently in Lagos, which is obviously not your home state. Perhaps you should go home to continue with your war mongering and saber rattlings from your south-south state and wait to see if your dreams and wishes will see the light of the day.

Nigeria would have been a lot more prosperous country if we can channel all the energy we expend, on trivial issues that seem to divide u, into more productive ideas which will strengthen us in our diversity.

Imagine a thread such as this in which supposed 9ja youths are spewing so much hatred for any tribe/religion which is different from theirs already having over 400 contributions, while threads which call for how to move Nigeria forward barely have up to 30 contributions. Yet bulk of those of us hear will criticize, castigate and demonize those in power. The real question is "What has anyone done today to make Nigeria move forward?"

Have you seen any other poster here talking about campaigns? A couple of pages back, someone mentioned oil and was shouted down, cos we are talking about much deeper things. Are you this shallow?

Please, like the others do not mention any campaign here or any similarly shallow input, we are discussing the framework of our federalism, do we make it a true federation? If so, how can it be made workable? Should each region or group pack up and go their own way? If so, how can that be arranged and how will that function. There is deep dissatisfaction and alienation that needs fixing by those who truly care about the country, not what cheap politics can do for their pockets.
Now that you have an idea of the gist here, either contribute or watch from the sidelines. No foolishness.

Make yourself useful and answer any of the questions below (lest you be caught unawares by events):
If bombs continue to go off in Jos when there is no war, mothers and babies are slaughtered and burnt to arshes; why should the people pretend they are one? If after 50 years, Nigeria is deploying its army in the ND because we produce nothing else, why should we remain one? If after 50 years there are 10 million almajiri's in the North with no solution in sight, yet others must share the burden, why should we remain one? If after 50 years the Middle Belt, SS and SE are crying marginalisation, why should we remain one? If after 50 years all state governors must troop to Abuja for their feeding allowance, why should we remain one? If after 50 years, we are worse than we started out, why should we remain one? If after 50 years, some still need zoning and ethnic bigotry to vie for power, why should we remain one?
Politics / Re: We Can Solve Our Problems: Ivorians Tells Nigeria by Faeb: 1:54pm On Dec 28, 2010
Those Ivorians that are threatening Nigeria, because their primitive ex-president Ghagbo first did it will get a severe shock. You don't go killing civilians from a nation with a much more powerful army, Nigeria remains the only country in West Africa that can project force beyond her borders and mobilise at short notice.
Southern Ivory Coast will really suufer if they attempt killing just one or two Nigerians.

It is best for Gbagbo to walk away with what little dignity an election rigger can have, than for him to make threats that will see him leaving in a coffin. His followers might not know better, Francophone people tend to be very ignorant of anything outside France, but they will get a very rude awakening. We cannot tolerate the avoidable strife coming from that part of West Africa, Liberian communities have sprung up in Nigeria as a result of the war. Nigeria isn't a hotel.

It is time to wash the apartheid govt of Gbagbo and Ivorite into the sea. People should leave afyter losing, but the like of Gbagbo whose term ended 5 years ago is involved in high stakes hustling today. We need to blot out the disgrace. Internationally, people see it as "African behaviour," not Gbagbo's behaviour.
Politics / Fg Plans 10,000-man Security Force by Faeb: 4:08am On Dec 28, 2010
FG Plans 10,000-man Security Force
By Imam Imam in Lagos and Kingsley Nwezeh in Abuja with agency reports, 12.27.2010

As a means of ensuring lasting peace in Jos and other parts of Plateau State, the Federal Government has accepted to fund a new security measure for the volatile state, THISDAY has been told.
The new measure will involve applying the “Kaduna security model” executed by the last two administrations in Kaduna to end a circle of ethnic and religious violence that bedevilled the former capital of the Northern region for about 10 years (1992 to 2002).
The administrations were that of Senator Ahmed Muhammed Makarfi, who served from 1999 to 2007, and Vice-President Namadi Sambo, who ruled as governor from 2007 to May this year.

Already, indications have emerged that President Goodluck Jonathan has directed Sambo to come up with a comprehensive plan for the domestication of the model in neighbouring Plateau.
The vice-president has also been asked to liaise with Plateau State government officials with a view to enhancing cooperation in the new initiative.
Sources in the vice-president’s office said the new measure becomes imperative considering the massive capital requirement in the implementation of the Kaduna security model.

“I can confirm that the Federal Government has accepted to fund the new model. The political leadership in Plateau has been intimated on the new development and they have given their full backing to it. In fact, Governor Jonah Jang has urged the vice-president to expedite action on the issue with a view to ensuring lasting peace in Jos and environs,” the source said.
Findings indicate that the main thrust of the new security outfit will involve deployment of about 500 operational vehicles to be equipped with modern communication gadgets like Global Positioning System (GPS).
The 10,000 strong force will be composed of the army, air force, police, SSS and men of the civil defence corps.
The new force will be headed by an air force officer who will be answerable to the president.
Other logistic requirements proposed for the force include 700 security motorcycles, 300 bicycles, 20 ambulances and two helicopters.

"All the officers to serve in the outfit will have insurance cover. They will have their medical and other allowance covered and paid regularly. The idea is to motivate them so as to resist being used by all the warring factions in the crisis. The outfit will cover all the local government areas in the state while their contact details will be placed in billboards and other public places in all parts of the state for people to report any suspicious activities from any person," the source added.

Also, the panel recommended the payment of compensation to victims of the Jos crisis, and urged the Federal Government to assist in this regard.
Yesterday, the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, condemned in “strong terms” the bombings that claimed 38 lives in Jos on Christmas Eve.
In the same vein, Chairman of the African Union (AU) Commission, Jean Ping, also expressed shock and sadness at the development.

The Middle Belt Dialogue (MBD) in condemning the bombing also called for the removal of the Commander of the Joint Military Task Force (JTF), Brigadier-General Hassan Umar, and the new Commis-sioner of Police in the state, whom it said were both Muslims who failed to take adequate measures in spite of available intelligence report before the incident.
Police Force Headquarters also said yesterday it had deployed the police bomb squad in Jos while its men patrolled the streets of Jos with a view to containing the situation even as it awaited situation report from the Plateau State Commissioner of Police.
The FCT Command also said it had tightened security around the territory in a bid to contain any spill-over effect of the Jos crisis.
Ki-moon, who described the recurring incident as “deplorable acts of violence” also conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and backed Federal Government’s determination to hunt down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The UN chief said he was appalled by the acts of violence, especially as they happened at "a time when millions of Nigerians are celebrating religious holidays".

He said he supported efforts by the Nigerian authorities “to bring those responsible to justice".
Plateau State Commissioner for Information, Gregory Yenlong, said: “Enemies of the state were at work.”
He appealed to the people to remain calm, adding: "We expect drastic measures to be put in place. You can see how charged the atmosphere is."
AU Commission chairman, Ping, also expressed shock and sadness at the violence.
The main attacks were near the city of Jos and in the town of Maiduguri.
Speaking with THISDAY, Police spokesman, Olusola Amore, said police had deployed their men as soon as the bombings took place adding that the police were looking for leads.

The statement issued by the MBD and signed by its Facilitator, Rima Shawulu Kwewum, said it was “rather disturbing that what looks like routine changes in security agencies are now effectively under the command of Brigadier-General Hassan Umar for the Joint Task Force and the new Commissioner of Police who are both muslims.
“We are calling on the people of Plateau and other Middle Belt States to be more vigilant. The rumours of stockpiling of arms and ammunition have gone unrefuted and the government is becoming obviously unable to guarantee the people and their right to worship,” it said.

The group further called on President Jonathan “to beware that the attacks are likely to continue as it becomes more obvious to these mischief makers that they cannot achieve their purpose of taking over power”.
Reports said two bombs exploded near a large market. A third hit a mainly Christian area, while the fourth was near a road leading to a mosque. No group has said it carried out the attacks.
About 30 attackers raided a church in Maiduguri, killing the pastor and others, and setting the building on fire.
Another church in the town was also attacked and a security guard killed, reports said.
Further violence between armed groups broke out in Jos on Sunday.
Witnesses said buildings were set alight and people were seen running for cover as police and soldiers arrived.
Jos had been blighted by religious violence over the past decade with deadly riots in 2001 and 2008.

Before IBB leaves PDP
Tunde Falola 28/12/2010 00:01:00

It shall be well with the consensus outcome, and it shall manifestly be well for all Nigerians” —IBB

It has, over the years, become somewhat of a problem understanding former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida. It is even more difficult for anyone not to input ulterior motives to his statements or his political moves. But then the man has proved over time too, that those who take his words for their ordinary meanings do so at their own risks.

So when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant declared that he accepted the choice of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as the North’s candidate for the PDP presidential primary, many people took the statement with a pinch of salt. Babangida had said the outcome of the consensus issue which was spearheaded by former Finance Minister, Adamu Ciroma, must be applauded for the foresight and rigour of the search. According to him, the Ciroma committee must be appreciated for its principled commitment to the advancement of democracy in the country.

While admitting that he had been humbled by the outcome of the two-month exercise, IBB congratulated Atiku and vowed to submit his political ambition to the decision of the Northern leaders. With the turn of events, many were prepared to believe that IBB had indeed turned the corner. Going by unfolding events, however, that would definitely have been off the mark. For, beneath all the niceties and democratic posturing, it has become obvious that he still harbours profound bitterness over the conduct, and the eventual outcome, of the consensus exercise. It was clear that his team saw Atiku’s emergence as a pill too difficult to swallow, especially after many people, including Northerners, faulted the process which produced the so-called consensus candidate.

Mahmud Kanti Bello, a serving Senator from Katsina and deputy head of Babangida’s campaign organisation fired the first salvo, hours after the widely publicised acceptance of Atiku’s choice by IBB. Senator Kanti Bello was quoted as saying that the choice of Atiku was irrational while the process which produced him was undemocratic and unacceptable. According to him, the IBB team never contemplated that the Ciroma panel would choose Atiku over IBB, lamenting that they ever submitted to the arrangement which they found out, was heavily skewed in Atiku’s favour.

The pro-IBB Arewa Integrity Youth Group (AIYG) in a statement by its co-coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Ladan, and General Secretary, Malam Faiza Mohammed Gerie, frowned at what it called “the political mischief of the so-called NPLF”, vowing that it would not recognise Atiku as the North’s consensus candidate because he was an unpopular imposition.

For IBB who has spent the past three weeks mouthing his support for the Northern consensus, it has also been a period for re-strategising. The indications are clear that the pull of the 2011 elections are too strong and he has finally decided to seek any escape route out of the PDP. It will come as little surprise if in the next few days, he ditches the PDP to seek the presidency on the platform of either the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) or the National Democratic Party (NDP), both of which many regard as his political outposts.

His recent letter to the national chairman of the PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, on the issue of zoning is generally regarded as his first step towards that direction. In the letter, he threatened to quit the party unless it abides by the power rotation formula which the party has already addressed and taken a decision on. The party’s National Executive Committee had on August 12, 2010 decided unanimously that it retains zoning and rotation as a policy for deepening national unity and integration within the context of the right of every Nigerian to aspire to the highest office in the country under the 1999 Constitution.

A PDP member, Alhaji Sani Dutsinma, in a bid to stop President Goodluck Jonathan who declared his aspiration last September in compliance with this PDP policy, had approached the Abuja High Court seeking to bar non-Northerners from seeking the party’s presidential ticket in next year’s election. Justice Lawal Gummi, while ruling on the case said that the issue of zoning, rotation or who to sponsor in the PDP was purely an internal affair of the party which the court will not venture into or adjudicate on. The court also declined the plaintiff’s request to compel the PDP to zone the 2011 presidency to the North, by declaring that “a court of law is not a political party regulatory commission”.

The threat to quit PDP on the basis of his own reading of the unambiguous court ruling, betrayed IBB’s readiness to depart from his stated stand on consensus. Not even the overtures made by the NPLF, conceding the nomination of Atiku’s running mate to him, has succeeded in pacifying the former military president who has been nursing a strong interest in returning to the exalted office he quit under questionable circumstances in 1993.

He could hardly disguise the ambition in 2007, when he went to the extent of buying the nomination form under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Not even the emissaries from a determined President Olusegun Obasanjo could stop him, until some damning security documents started flying before his face. If that was not convincing enough, the arrest of his son, Mohammed, over ownership of large stocks in Globalcom, drove the message home. The prospect of explaining how a lad who had never worked in his life, came about those shares, was not too bright. He was forced to quit.

Having waited this long, especially since Obasanjo started playing from the sidelines, IBB had intensified the prospect of taking a shot at the presidency once more, this time with all his guts.

Will he quit this time, just because some nine men from the North asked him to? It is doubtful, very unlikely, that IBB will fold up his well-oiled machinery and return to Minna.

The bolded  part above has now shown us that you share the same philosophy with the Boko Haram extremists, and other extremists thugs of ND like MEND. You people are incapable of ruining our dear country. You are better off helping to formulate and nurture our democracy to adulthood. Your first assignment is to find out who you Rep is, and submit legislation, for him to push through. This gunboat rascality will get you nowhere. olodo.

You can't dismantle  the last man that stole your girlfriend and you are here talking about dismantling the great nation of Nigeria! Wonders shall never end. Unpatriotic people like you belong in jail. Rakumin dajij

Did you drink alcoholic tea? So you love the current system so much? Damn! You should count the number of almajiri's in your street every morning. not only that, actually pay attention to them, ponder what their lives are like, think like they were your own kids. After that, come back and recount your idiotic love affair with the current system as you have done above. The system that produces almajiri's at an industrial scale also produced you (garbage and all), but you are too blind and your belly too full to see the blizzard of tragedy that is brewing just around the corner.

Our President GEJ is not interested in the situation in Jos, but the only news he wants to hear is how many delegates have been drumming support for him for 2011.

GEJ, Lack Power, Lacks Action, No Principle, No Policy, No Potentials, No charisma, No Ideology, No Norms and Values, No gift, No Proof, No Future.

This is not my President, he can hardly become my class captain.

So, GEJ caused Islamic extremism in the North?
Lets not get stup!d.

This is a problem that has been threatening the country for years now, and the cabal leaders in the North have nourished and nurtured it. We need new leaders in the North, the current set of elders is a stack failure, they need to give way to young blood.

This is a very dangerous turn of events. I can bet that if these guys aren't neutalised quickly, we will have the US carrying out air strikes in the North.
It isn't a good development and those driving it because they feel they are losing out politically, are only shooting themselves in the foot. Everybody will conclude that Hausa-Fulani people have become extremists or sponsors of extremism.

beaf why do you support jonathan like this undecided

pls give me a reason so i can do the same

Look at the problems in the ND, then count the 10 million almajiri's around you and you will realise that it is time for a permanent shift of power from the evil gangs that have held Nigeria backward, Atiku, Ciroma and co are just the arrowheads. That gang of bats and the ra'pe they represent must be broken.

Some of us are fanatical about creating a progressive country where every person can strive for fulfilment, where there is equity and hunger is banished; where all kids get an education and there are no more almajiri's; where govt is listening and responds to the aspirations of the people; where there is freedom of speech, equality of the sexes and human rights are guaranteed; where the state has an ideology that the people can key into; where all religions are tolerant of the other; where there is true representation of the citizen at every level. . . and we will succeed. cool

We have taken the first steps to creating a modern, sophisticated society.

Meanwhile, Spokesman of the Special Task Force on Jos Crisis STF, Capt. Charles Ekeocha, has disclosed to journalists that two of those arrested, Yusuf Sabiu and Ismaila Garga were arrested at Anglo Jos in the process of igniting dynamite to burn down some houses.
He said when they were searched, two wraps of Indian hemp and seven unexpended cartridges were found on them while the third man who was arrested on Monday morning was from Niger Republic.

From Niger?! It seems quite clear from this that people were hired and paid to set the bombs off.

@Onlytruth, negro please!! Your thieving leaders, are squarely responsible for the failures of the systems you are describing. If they spent 10% of the funds under their management properly without looting them, we would have been further ahead. The alottment of your blames smacks of laziness and ignorance, buddy. Quota system ko, Quorum ni.

@Sapeleguy, the common people of the ND, the almajiris, and indeed the youths in Nigeria who are denied education for reasons beyond their control, are the most marginalized Nigerians. We should be ashamed of the demise of these people. A good social security system funded by only 0.005% of annual looted funds by your governors, the feds, and the legislators should be more than enough to take care of these people.

Talking about social security as an excuse to continue with flawed and useless system, is just the height. The problems in the ND and the disgrace of almajiri are the result of a wicked govt system that benefits parasites only.
We need to dismantle the system to save our lives.

@beaf: i asked u a simple question which u said nothing abt. Nigeria has an extradiction pact with USA, y vnt they dim it fit to extradite Atiku bck to the states to face the charges which u claimed his bin found wanting by the American senate according to u. Pls oblige me on this using your terms.

You have answered your question with the bolded. What  are the details of the extradition pact with the US? What are the conditions of extradition?
It isn't enough to mouth that there is a treaty.

In all this, one fact remains, Atiku was indicted by the Senate of the United States for lifting our 40 billion.
