Celebrities / Paamf Celebrates Mama Fasoyin At 80. by Fajbay04(m): 11:14pm On Feb 28, 2020
Unlike modern days gospelers who dress in 'jean' track suit-like trousers,in sexy gowns and waltz their heaps, obviously in a manner of wayward girls called in boyish slang, Slay Mommas, whose lyrics and beats are devoid of divine inspiration, filthy enough to destabilize one's mind and never extol God's power amidst life's intimidating challenges, Mama Deborah Adebola Fasoyin stands out.

Am I saying the Octogenarian is a perfect entity? No. No human being is perfect. Such hasn't been forged from the smithy of divine powers. Surely, every human enterprise has its shortcomings. Nonetheless, Mama is making a difference.

She is the leader of C.A.C Good Women Choir, established in the 70s. That group sang in the Holy Ghost, sonorously. They were enomousely impressive. They were perfect studies in ennobling character. Untainted cum untarred, they've carried and still carrying the banner of the gospel. That's the group she led. I do not know anyone who understand Yoruba language whose brain and mind would not connect with the song :

Odun lo sopin o
Baba rere
Baba Ma somi o
Tomotomo
Ohun ti o pa mi lekun o
Lodun titun
Ma je ko sele simi o Baba rere.
Ma je kawo leri sokun
Ma je n daso ofo bora
Ogun roju je roju mu
Mama je ko je ti temi
Alafia pipe ni mo fe, fi ta mi lore
Je n ri na, Jen rilo
Baba wa se mi logo
Ma je tawo na
Ma je ntaraka lodun titun
Dabo, Olorun mi dabo.

She's the lead-vocalist in that records, over four decades ago, 'Hallelujah Lo Mumi Goke Mo Dupe' Odun Yi Atura and others. I grew up to know those tracks in my household. My late granny who was a C.A.C member enjoyed those tracks the way the Oyinbos enjoy coffee. Odun Nlo Sopin is a popular track that always rule the airwaves whenever the year is going to an end; it's a song that was laced with punchy prayer points against evil spirits, assumed to be ruling mber months in Africa.

Everybody likes it.

Since the inception of the song, it's not an understatement that it has not lost its savour. It is still relevant and appears new as though released yesterday. It is an evergreen music, you said. No doubt!

'Evergreen' is one of the undeniable benefits of the lovers of God. Those who wait on Him.

The Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians 2:9 wrote: " What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived, the things God has prepared for those who love him." The Psalmist also added, that: "...they shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither..."

When I watched Mama at Daystar Christian Centre's Concert,I can't but say that she's evergreen. Not only the beauty of God radiate in her life, just like other people,I saw the aura.

At 80, human expectation is deodorant. But, Mama Fasoyin is still glowing. She's a scion of a beautiful heritage, fealty and honour. She's winning awards. Ministrying through song. Truly, God honours his word in her life. He's not a son of Adam that he would lie.

On behalf of President/ Founder of Professor Ademola Adesina Foundation and the entire team,I celebrate you,and therefore pray that you wax stronger in God's grace to continuously to touch lives and to finish strong as you always pray.

Belated happy birthday,Ma.

Politics / Eid-el Maolud: Tunde Taiwo Felicitates With Muslims by Fajbay04(m): 8:24pm On Nov 11, 2019
Hon. Taiwo Babatunde Adedotun has congratulated all Muslim faithfuls as they celebrate Eid-el maolud.

The business mogul and former governship aspirant exhorted the significance of love that can only be achieved by abiding in the dictates of the Holy Quran.

The illustrious and highly cerebral son of Apomu,in Isokan Local Government Area of Osun made this known in a press statement issued early today by his media aide in Osogbo, the capital city of Osun.

He noted how religious differences have polarized us as nation; a factor to which we have lost many precious Nigerians, thereby calling on all and sundry to embrace love, jettison and eschew bigotry.

"Religion may appear to be a way to find God, but this doesn't bind us together. There has been religion differences from time immemorial, and it will always be. Our ways of going to God may differ but there's a need that always cry in the secret chamber of our hearts, irrespective of who you are,and that's the need to be loved.

Take love to someone who is a Christian,Bhudist or Hinduist,he won't rest it. Love is a character of God that connects everyone together and lures us to walk in harmony. This,I believe, the Holy Quran teaches and our lives and society will no doubt be better if we all can apply this in a heterogeneous community like ours," he said

He therefore prayed for many happy returns of this occasion in peace.

The President/Founder of PAAM, Dapo Ademola-Adesina made this known in a press statement issued to newsmen in the early hours of today by the Online Editor to the organization, Adebayo Fajinmi,in Osogbo.

The US trained Financial Analyst said, it's very germane to take a cursory look at the peace and love that Prophet Mohammed taught and reflect on them at a time like this that bigotry besets our nation.

"Prophet Mohammed didn't indoctrinate peace, love and its emissaries. He loved peace and unity. He preached them without discrimination against religions, ethnicity, race or colour.

"I ineffably enjoined our Muslim brothers and sisters to make manifest, those menus of love because without them, our nation will be devoid of progress," he said.

He, therefore ,prayed for many joyous of the day in untold progress in all spheres of our nation.

2019 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD,DAPO ADESINA ADVOCATE PROTECTION AGAINST ABUSE

Professor Ademola Adesina Memorial Foundation joins the world to celebrate international day of the girl child today.

President/Founder of the organization, Mr. Dapo Ademola-Adesina through Adebayo Fajinmi,Online Editor to the foundation, in a press statement issued to newsmen in Osogbo today ,said,it is a significant day that calls for urgent attention in a male dominated society like ours where abuse of girl's right keeps caressing us like a slut, seeking liaison.

While lauding the United Nations for deeming it fit to highlight and address the challenges girls are facing and promoting girl's empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights, he advocates that government at all levels must establish laws and policies that would safeguard their rights against abuses.

"The rate at which people abuse girl's right in this part of the world is outrightly condemnable. Perhaps, this was as a result of our norms and values that have placed high premium on male child.

"Which ever way, a child is a child. Like normal human beings,a girl child has a great potential. Therefore, abusing a girl's right must be seen as wickedness to humanity. I thereby call on our policy makers and law makers to take drastic steps to promoting girl's empowerment and curb the humiliation, that befits only animal, being unleashed on girl child," he said.

Politics / The God,the Gifts And The Ungodly- TUNDE TAIWO by Fajbay04(m): 6:44pm On Sep 16, 2019
The god, The gifts and The ungodly- TUNDE TAIWO

Keturah was a brilliant, super-amazing and fearful mistress. A looking suave lady; when she walked, her expensive waist-beads,made of her best coral, murmured. Any man who have ever lived in the 15th century would surely know how significant waist-beads were to women's allurement, especially to their hips.

Keturah,a busty lady who usually tie only lappas over her breasts without tops, like old African women. If she runs on her expensive horse, her breasts 'll swing with bare health.

If Keturah sits, and curls her long legs, together in feminine modesty, like an amazon, one would know that she had styles, that only rich and exposed people could possess. She was an ardent advocate of totalism who lived in the province of Eliza. Her matchless qualities were spellbound, especially to the Very Important People in her province. Some of these people desired to have Keturah as a wife, but her feminine mindset was an unimpeachable deterrent.

One day, she woke up with a desire to destroy a pauper, who have used over two decades to raise his fifty sheep. Yearly, the shepherd increase but Keturah was disturbed by a sense of insecurity, that this man was coming up to her height in her clan. As powerful as she was, she did everything at her disposal to peg the man's growth and destroy him, but she couldn't get rid of this meek, weak, powerless and gentle shepherd.

At a point, she thought about a powerful priest by the name Oliaz, who lived within her province. This priest was a great seer, when he speaks, it's like God speaks- his words 'll never go unfulfilled.

Due to Keturah's mindless desire, she went extra mile,to this powerful priest who have once sought her hand in marriage. In order to deliver a good job, Keturah renounced her belief, promised to marry the priest with her wealth if he can help him put a plague and curse on the shepherd and his sheep.

This turned the priest on. He hurriedly consulted his god on what he would do to execute the job, but the god warned him, that it's a job he must not take. "The poor man can't be cursed", said the good!

However, the gifts have blindfolded the priest,he was recalcitrant, he deceptively accepted to help the destructive being whom he was willing to have as an evidence of strength and pride. He didn't want to sever the golden opportunity.

Afterwards, he joined the woman on her horse, rode to meet the shepherd at his sheepfold,to put plague therein and curse the poor man, but unfortunately,it was a time a wild animal was about to enter the sheepfold. The animal met the priest and Keturah at the entrance, and callously devoured them and the beast gallantly returned to the wild.

Keturah, here, exemplified men and women of influence who are threatened by the development of others. The pace of growth that lowly people experience in their pursuit often give them sense of insecurity, rendered them poorer,as though they have lost everything while the priest was an example of those who have forsaken the right way and gone astray due to lack of discernment

Sadly, they both borne the brunt of insecurity and greed.

Dear friends,we can not enjoy long success without developing a healthy sense of discernment and security, to constantly strive and pursue the worthwhile goals before us, no matter the pace at which others are developing.

Run your race with discernment.Do have a great week!

Politics / Gov.oyetola's Administration Is Supremely Impressive by Fajbay04(m): 9:42pm On Sep 11, 2019
GOV. OYETOLA'S ADMINISTRATION IS SUPREMELY IMPRESSIVE By TUNDE TAIWO

The great philosopher,Plato,in his work: 'The Republic' opined that, " the good man must be a good citizen; a good man could hardly exist except in a good state; and it would be idle to discuss what was good for the man without considering what was good for the city."

This assertion is laced with the welfare of the state and man,the two are interwoven. A state can not exist without men. Good men must be good citizens, but they can exist only in a good state. Meaning: when a state is bad,you automatically depopulate good men. Therefore,to make good citizens and a good state, power must be in the hand of a man who knows , first, what tasks the good state requires and who have the required education and exposure to perform them. That is what Governor Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola in the State of Osun exemplified.

If you have studied his style of governance, you won't think twice before you conclude that it is replete with the developmental agenda of the progressive for a good State- for economic liberation, required to absorb good citizens.

Apart from the efforts his administration have deployed to curb and avert the grisly gospel of insecurity and its that fear that almost envelope us, his administration have never been distracted to ensure that the lives of every citizen improve. This painstainking efforts can be seen in the rehabilitation of poor roads that cut across the state. Among them is the popular Osogbo-Iwo- now under construction. This is incredible.

Gov. Oyetola score card in the last eight months is incredible and whoever has been following this government and its activities would surely turn a deaf ear to the press release of Osun PDP Chairman who said Osun can not be like Lagos.

Whoever is vast with history must have read or heard about the dysfunction of Osun in the of the PDP, which provoked the people to eschew them and massively support the APC.

If the PDP says Oyetola can't replicate what happened in Lagos, then whose party turned Osun from 'wild' into sight-seeing and for economic development? Judas is PDP's apprentice in lying.

Oyetola administration has been supremely impressive. The best is yet to come!

Politics / Prince Gboyega Famodun,a Political Tactician With Inimitable Creativity@61 by Fajbay04(m): 5:34pm On Sep 09, 2019
PRINCE GBOYEGA FAMODUN,A POLITICAL TACTICIAN WITH INIMITABLE CREATIVITY@61

I have searched endlessly, earnestly and frantically for statesmen whose political gaits, aural and STATECRAFTS have extinguished the falling living standard and worsening soap box in governance and politics; a few people are in this coterie among whom the Igbajo-born Prince, Adegboyega Famodun,Osun State Chairman of the APC stands out.

Famodun's inimitable creativity, innovation, profundity, astuteness and pungency from the position of Secretary of our Party,in the defunct ACN to the Chairman of the APC lies in his versatile knowledge of politics which he has been mustering in 1983 or thereabout, when he joined the defunct N.P.N.

By his leadership wit and crisis management skills, our party became victorious over a bitter cocktail of despair during 2018 governship election.

Amon his salient qualities is his undying and consistent spirit. Despite the threat he faced as a progressive member in the bid to oust mediocre rules and huge harrowing disservice of the opposition, during political interregnum in the State, yet he remained committed and unshakable in the face of storm that flushed out dastardly individuals, whose lights were doused by fear and uncertainty.

Call him a prince of peace; prince of hope;prince of success, whichever one you call him, it is replete with the virtue and ascendancy of value and character, established by his progenitors.

Happy birthday to our cool, calm, brilliant, magnanimous, effervescent, blunt, courageous and hospitable party Chairman.

You would continue to scale dizzy freigtening heights, leap yawning gulfs and come up higher to greater heights.

Àsèyì sàmódún lágbára elédùmarè!
Congratulations Sir!

Nairaland / General / Aregbesola &oyetola: The New Scripts Of Statecraft by Fajbay04(m): 9:27pm On Sep 07, 2019
AREGBESOLA & OYETOLA: NEW SCRIPTS OF STATECRAFT

A renowned leadership expert and coach,John C.Maxwell once said, " No organization can rise beyond the capacity of its leader." This insight, also reflects on every nation/state.

When Ogbeni took the mantle of leadership in Osun, with his incredibly designed vision; it crystalized Osun to a developed State.

Aregbesola's vision in governance was one that identified with the naked pulse of the masses as there's no sector in the state that the vision didn't impact.

During his time, infrastructural development was unprecedented, such that the deaf people heard it and blind people felt it like strokes of rain. Obviously, those developments came and sat, regally like a royal bard who came to pay us a surprise visit because what we were known for about seven and half years before his arival were crumbs. Nothing else!

In education sector, huge harrowing disservice descended abysmally and debasement of value was nipped in the bud by building world class schools with exquisite and serene environment that are irresistible for pupils/ students to learn.

His excellent service to humanity, governmental wits, and management skills recently spurred President Buhari to appoint him as a Minister of Interior, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Aregbesola is no doubt a trailblazer.

A popular saying goes thus, a leader without a successor is not a leader. Another factor that emboldens Ogbeni Aregbesola's success and legacy is the emergence of his successor, Governor Gboyega Oyetola who won in Osun 2018 governship election. The journey was a dizzy frightening heights in which the PDP engaged us in a legal battle, but thankfully, the Apex Court affirmed the victory our party.

I once wrote an Opinion on this victory, entitled: VICTORY OVER A BITTER COCKTAIL OF DESPAIR. And Governor Oyetola has been consistently proving this since he came on board.

I celebrate the duo as a celebratory banquet holds today in honour of our great leaders in Osun State Government House. They're the new scripts of statecraft.
