They didn't say or I've not seen anything other than enclose your English proficiency evidence in the application and check it on the checklist.I am very distraught right now. I wouldn't mind doing pre-english program on campus if UB agrees if not am off to ECU. I don't trust and believe this my score!

I understand how u feel. It could be frustrating after months of preparation. If UB or any oda skol has offered u admission, whc often times is unconditional, den they are good with your O'level english grade its just the embassy. For me, will advice u to take anoda one eida toefl or ielts so as not to leave any stone unturned. U don't need to fret while preparing & writing d next. I see your posts and I know you are smarter than the score, u probably jst missed out on some little details. God wil c u tru brov. Cheers.

$800 for a month kilode na, wehn nor be St Kilda, $800 go rent 1 or 2 bedroom for here if u search wella, Nor pay pass $100-$150 as u jst be new comer. Unless it's $400 a month and another $400 for the bond. Otherwise it's too much sir.

Broz...eshey gan. Me sef wonder y d tin high lyk dat, but I based my judgement on what I heard that accommodation is always on the high side in OZ. Ok then, my search continues.

STUNTS007: @Fikzy definitely we can hook up, I pray ur Visa application will also be successful. I did my medicals already and a applied like 2weeks ago.Under d new Stream lined visa processing for student visa ,Visa processing takes 2-4 weeks but not all d Universities in Australia are part of it.The applicant has to confirm such details prior to applying.

For now am just hoping n praying for d best.

I did apply via the SVP scheme too & I have also gone for my medicals. Its gonna all work out well for us all by God's grace. I have sent you a DM ryt here. Reply & let's get started. Cheers.

Actually i stay in ibadan and will like to write the exam in lagos because i wont be able to study up before the 6th of july which is scheduled for ibadan. I booked on 4th june and my payment deadline was off cos i wasnt able to get to lagos and make payment.

My questions are:

Thanks so much...

Yeah they say visa-length but that other guy saw 26months and later got 39months and he's seeking a visa for his two-yr Msc. That is not a problem but we want to know all as learned people do.

Both schools didn't say with figures but I saw as soon as possible against Flinders U. I'm not doing anything until UB clears the coast.I was thinking I should ask them to be specific with the dates. What do you think?

Sure...ask them so you will be extra sure and plan well.

Since feb Let her consistently call & send mails to the embassy. I applied late last month and was sent a mail to go do medicals last week. For student visa, it doesn't take so long as it used to be in time past.

Mister NRC:

I can say its a high price but when you factor in nearness to your school campus, that must have been a big consideration on the part of the family (they must have calculated that you will spend less on transport) Did you also negotiate that stationery/toiletries are all inclusive of that $800 per month else that's an expensive agreement.

what worked partially for me was to pay the rent for just the room in house(of course with shared bathroom+toilet) and I excluded all those extras from the rent and after a few weeks I was alright(enough Woolworths branded products smiley ). The good thing is you pay monthly right? After the first month and you are still unhappy, nothing stops you from looking elsewhere.
Thanks for your response. Wil re-activate the negotiation again. Still on the lookout for cheaper houses though, its just the way to go about it. Are you in melbourne?

I've got two offers now:Masters of Computer Science with Edith Cowan University,Perth and the half annual tuition is 10,800AUD and 1,120.50AUD OSHC to go with it before CoE comes in.Again Masters of Computer with Flinder University,Adelaide and 13,550AUD Half Tuition and 1,178AUD OSHC. I have not decided on the one to accept because University of Ballarat is yet to offer me a YES or No, if Yes I expect works to be within 10,500AUD and I will accept theirs, if not I go for ECU's.

When is it late to accept? They did not say! Since I have not paid, I don't know what months my OSHC will cover.

The minimum your OSHC will cover is the number of years you are slated to run the program. The lateness on when to accept will have being sent to you with your conditional or unconditional offer letters.

iamcapela: @Fikzzy, Caulfield na like 25 mins drive from Dandenong, a few stops on the train tho, not far from Flinders and it's easy to go through Chapel street and the city, the homestay is a good idea, but for me personally, I share a room with a Mauritian dude who's also here, the bottom line is Aussie is good and with patience and perseverance we'll all make it.

Aunty Jenny has always pointed this out and I am here now and I can testify to it.

I met with the dude Aceblackpearl yesterday and Dandenong plaza, we had a bit of fun time together socialising and picking on some pretty African girls, it was fun for him and I hope we'll catch up more often.

@Americanvisa, Alot of people have answered your questions on here and I don't see reasons adding to it as it's a complete process, If you ask me questions and I fail to reply try and understand that Aussie is a different terrain not 9ja where everyone will be online all day, I could be online fighting hard with completing my school assessments, these things don't come easy as I wasn't used to the referencing style whilst I was in 9ja. it's quite tasking studying here if you're not prepared my folks.

@Fedimako, all of una be my guys on these thread, I asked less questions when I wasn't sure abt my app to DIAC in Southie, some people responded, some didn't I didn't fight anyone here, the sharks knows themselves, not the prospective/intending students that are real, some pple are just dumb and they keep asking questions when they don't even have the funding of coming here, whoever wanna come here must prepare, Aussie is expensive to live in, school in and you must really be prepared. It's not London where you have loads of 9ja who'll accept you in their houses, whoever is coming must be ready to pay bills, shikena, na there my story end today, I'm off to my sociology class, see y'all later. smiley

Thanks for your insightful details. Though i still have a few questions as to which is cheaper or better still, more cost effective between homestay and getting a partner who can pair and pay for house rents together which i guess you are doing. Myself and an aussie family have being sending mails to one another trying to negotiate a price, though we finally agreed on $800/month. but i still feel its much though. they reside in Clayton and my campus is in Caulfield. What do u think brov?

Okay. You can let the school know of ur accommodation preference.May be they hook u up with some locals. I was thinking one needs that as a part of the Embassy documents.I don't know what we all will expect but I know it'll worth it.

Accommodation in schools are on the high side. Strongly believe staying with locals or homestay with an aussie family is ideal. Wateva bill u pay per week or month will include food, gas, internet, tv and 1 get 2 learn bout d aussie culture wen u stay with them. This is simply based on my research though and I stand to be corrected.

I am in Clayton lets relate, give me a PM so we can exchange contacts.

Boss, i hail ooo. *duffs hat*. I should be in aussie, melbourne, monash univ, caulfield campus precisely, before the end of july. From my researches, i believe caulfield and clayton are not far from one another. Considering that the school accommodation is on the high side, i'm thinking of securing an Homestay with an aussie family around caulfield, dandenong, clayton or berwick. What do you think? Thanks so very much, will be anticipating your swift response.

This story is looking like a script well documented & acted. This posted picture doesnt show if the banker ran over the lastma official or not. Does the lagos roads now have cctv cameras that pick up events in real time or where did the video show up from? Well, congrats Yinka if you were rightfully vindicated and stick to the traffic rules next time.
