Politics / Re: Searching For Fashola's Achievements by gidiMonsta(m): 12:13am On Dec 26, 2012
Fashola hasn't done anything jor, that's why he only got 85% of the votes in last years election. cheesy

This attempt to rubbish the achievement of Nigeria's brightest star only shows that some people in Abuja are scared of somebody in Alausa.

Oma se oooo..desperate times call for desperate measures sha, the attack dogs need to earn their december allowee sha hence their recent attack on the biggest fish in the sea.

Fashola gives me hope that people can still rule in Nigeria with their head instead of the stomach.

Zeus I: The highest rate of kidnapping and theivery are rampant in the SW.

Really? Dey fool yourself there.

You better make sure you have enough money in your account incase your father gets nabbed by your biafran brothers.

ba7man: We are all aware that Kidnapping is a menace in the S.E so no use acting like it doesn't exist or insult one another. We should be discussing ways of ending it or possible kidnappers in your areas or else we'll just keep insulting one another on Nairaland and Kidnappers continue with bizness. We don't always have to wait 4 the Government.

Thank you very much my brother. If a non-igbo states this they'll say he's tribalistic; if an Igbo says its they'll say he's a lefu-lefu. My own main concern here is that this menace may spill into the SW especially Lagos if it continues unchecked like this.

VellyG: Imo state happens to b worse in cases of kidnapping..spent barely 2days in my hometown and My uncle got kidnapped just xtadAy. You just can't tell wen dese guys are trailing you. I thank God we have established contact with him. Its a dull Xmas day here. We still thank God for his gift of life.

I pray your uncle is returned safely to your family. My friend serving in Orlu was also kidnapped last month, thank God her parents were able to raise the ransom on time. God help us all.

Once again, Akure cannot be considered a transit point from lagos because it's foolhardy to go through Akure when Ore is more plausible. Even if Akure is a transit point sef, who would take a bus going to Akure to board another going to the east when there's a direct bus to the east. You see how stupid you are. I pray you don't take this your stupidity into the new year cos it's gonna be detrimental to yourself, those around you and the world at large.

People going to the east pass through Ore and not Akure. Try again. Why was Abeokuta not mentioned you say? Why was Enugu, Aba and Abakaliki not mentioned. Abeg park well jor.

Ode oshi, I said Akure is A TRANSIT POINT not the only transit point. Why should your towns be mentioned again when the writer already explicitly mentioned the east as a whole?

I'm very sure you this person is presently in lagos instead of your village, abi you sef no get t-fare ni?

talktimi: Mr man use your head abeg. All over Nigeria land is sold by family members to new owners with a clear delineation of whr the relevant authorities have interest in. If the structure were built in the right of way of the proposed lekki airport why didn't the lasg demolish structures adjascent to the church ? We can't be deceived Fashola and his boyfriend Tinubu are land grabbers and certified thugs unleashing their mayhem on the good people of lagos state most of whom don't know they are being molested. I dey really laugh una in Japanese

Its obvious you haven't bought a land in lagos before. I just hope when you eventually do, you have enough common sense to check with the relevant authorities before making payments to them omo oniles, if not you're on your own.

Will you keep quiet...

From the article, it's obvious that it's a general trend. That's why Akure, Ondo was cited in the article. The writer focused on Igbos because we all know Igbos are the ones who usually travel home in large numbers. A lot of people i know traveled home.

Btw, the mods have started their tribalistic ways this new year. I don't see why tribalistic topic opened by the likes of ekoile and Aishatu should make the frontpage.

What the hell is this one ranting on and on about? Akure was most likely sighted here because its a major transit point for those going to the east, why wasn't Abeokuta or Osogbo mentioned?

I don't understand why you people like denying the obvious, 70% of my igbo padies are not travelling as usual for fear of been kidnapped.
Religion / Re: Lagos Demolishes N100m Church During Service! by gidiMonsta(m): 11:26am On Dec 25, 2012
LASG is right on this one! You don't buy land from omo-onile in Lagos without knowing about the status of the land first from Alausa. Most of y'all are only whining here because its a church.

That said, I blame the LASG for demolishing during their service, they could have least waited till next year after january. The govt also needs to do something about these omo-onile boys especially in the Lekki-Ajah axis, they have duped too many people for too too long.

This is not about being tribalistic or not, a lot of Igbos did not travel for xmas this year. Instead of you lots to address this issue head on, you're busy throwing tantrums about tribalism here and there.

I don't think its favoritism, the Igbos need to balance out the numbers in the federal service. I'm glad my eastern brothers have finally started learning to play the game instead of their usual whining. I just hope they don't over do it but be tactful about it like the yorubas.

You are saying trash! Awolowo had a mission to capture power and he did it playing the tribal game effectively. However, it was not any different from the tactics used by leaders in other regions. And it is still the same tactics used to fool gullible Nigerians today.

Chinua has written a book, what I expect you all to do is to critically examine the contents of the book. You are not expected to agree with him but to insult him over his views is most disrespectful.

Y'all should just stop this examining contents of the book BS, Achebe's memoir is deeply flawed, he deserves his spot on the Hall of shame list and I sincerely hope he tops at the end of voting.

Yoruba are bent on messing with people in the cesspit called Nigeria. They tend to point filthy fingers at other people. Sometimes, they seemed delusional and fall for everything and it shows. In one instance, they are for a fellow descending from sky and in another they are for another drunk ascending to the sky. Yet in another instance, Yoruba are for another addict heading to Mecca.

Your lack of brains continue to attain new heights you this useless old man. Everyone knows that every culture has its share of myths and folklore; the chinese believe the world was created from 2 eggs called yin and yang, are they delusional too? The sumerians believe god descended from the sky to mould the earth, are the crackheads too?

Hahahahahaha..so the Igbos are pained that Achebe is in the hall of shame? Oma she oo..he deserves to be there though, he's a decrepit old man who caused division among the youths with his ridiculous book. Even foreign reviewers agree that Mr. Achebe was obviously partisan in his book.

As for the retar.ds Afam and Berem, whether you like it or not, NL is the most visited site in Nigeria, what useless awards have Linda Ikeji or Bella naija won? Are Facebook and twitter top sites because of some useless awards? NL is waxing stronger, now with a custom designed forum and a creative advert model, it was featured of forbes African startups to watch, almost any search on google redirects to NL, even Thisday quoted a thread from NL in one of their articles, CoolFM discusses topic from NL romance section on their shows, many sites I've seen lift stories from threads on NL verbatim!

If you think NL is useless and tribalistic like you're all wont to claim, leave the phocking site alone na, abi she tipa ni?

I've known NL since late 2005 and the tribalism here was started MOSTLY by the igbos! During the era of the likes of bawomolo and co., the igbos attacked yorubas wantonly but probably due to the fact that most yorubas here saw it as harmless rants, they didn't really reply so it never descended to the war-like level we have now.

Politics / Re: The Truth About Fashola's Success by gidiMonsta(m): 10:13am On Dec 23, 2012
@op is a retar.d.

1. Education: Lagos schools have NEVER had it better! Public schools are now almost at par with most private schools in lagos. The standard of teaching has improved drastically from few years ago when our public schools were eye sores. For your information, my cousins attend lagos public schools. Almost every public school in Lagos is spotting a new look.

2. Waterways: Only a f00l will say the LASG hasn't done anything on this. Goto Ikorodu and see the newly constructed jetty, go around and see many more similar projects across the state.

3. Roads: how can you go around constructing new roads when the old ones are nothing to write home about? Fashola's first priority is rehabilitating exhisting roads before thinking of constructing any new ones. No other state in the federation has rehabilitated more roads than LASG.

4. Health: In the past 6years the standard of health facilities in Lagos state has really improved. You only need to visit to see for yourself. One remarkable thing about it is the fact that it isn't concentrated in one part of lagos, its across the state!

I agree that there's still a lot to be done but anybody that says Uncle Fash hasn't done anything in Lagos is only a good for nothing, retar.ded PDP ars.e licker that can never achieve anything in his life without handouts from a chronically corrupt party. I don't give a phock about ACN or CPC or PDP, I only listed the above to counter d @OPs initial bullshi.t post.

Politics / Re: The Truth About Fashola's Success by gidiMonsta(m): 9:47am On Dec 23, 2012
wirinet: It is a wonderful thing that Fashola's apologists have taken up the challenge and provided us with a project initiated, funded and completed by governor fashola, which is the Ajeromi Maternity Clinic. Before we can finally accept our shame of being haters, can someone from Ajeromi help us confirm that the project is actually as hyped? We need to know that the project is new and not a renovation of an existing clinic as we have known to be fashola's style. At least Ajeromi is one of the largest local government in lagos, so it should be expected that we should have a few hundred nairalanders who can confirm the authenticity of the project.

We might be luck and get a feedback from a member who have actually used the services of this clinic.

As for a new maternity clinic in Ikorodu, i can confirm that one as a white lie. I live in Ikorodu, and all Fashola did was to renovate (mainly paint job) the existing general hospital at Ikorodu.

This is a lie from the pit of hell. A new maternity wing was built at the General hospital Ikorodu, the building alone is bigger than most govt hospitals I've seen in other states.
