Politics / Re: Breaking News: Fresh Bomb Blast Kill 12 In Kaduna by IboMan1(m): 10:21am On Apr 25, 2011
Has anyone heard of any actions taken proactive or otherwise to address the bomb blasts.
I expect to hear immigrations and customs have closed the borders in the north ,making it difficult for terrorists that are training the almajiri and sucide bombers from acting.
I expect to hear that the gov. is monitoring influx of migrants, that non citizens with nothing tangible doing or linked to terrorist cell activity are repatriated after interrogation. I expect to hear of better schools for the almajiri army teaching them to be useful members of the society.
I expect more from the society . Does anyone share in this ideology.

@@d blank
there is no need for name calling.
you obviously will not help the situation in the country nor the divide bw the agrieved parties. You should not make such statements. I am of the opinion that people in this forum should exhibit a sense of maturity in self expression
Politics / Re: Gen. Buhari Is Very Desperate To Become President. by IboMan1(m): 5:50pm On Apr 13, 2011
I dont believe in inviting history to repeat herself through our honorable general even if he has the support of the latter rain. There is no change when we invite those men of old. Our glorified general has nothing to offer this nation, leave the politicking for the new generation

Culture / Re: Disability Awareness In Nigeria by IboMan1(m): 12:12am On Dec 24, 2010
True word! why sugar coat it . In a forum like this I'd tell it as it is
because it gives eyes to the words and brings reality to every feeling and emotion felt.
Not that one wants pity but a clearer picture of what we are trying to share is seen.
Politics / Re: Pastor Adeboye Prays For President Jonathan - Picture & Video by IboMan1(m): 9:48pm On Dec 22, 2010
Still reading this thread and i get the 411 that most guys in diaspora are on
bout how bad a leader one individual is .
I hope you will all come back to make that change
I hope you will all come back to vote the right candidate
I hope when you are voted into power you wont be worse off
Politics / Re: Pastor Adeboye Prays For President Jonathan - Picture & Video by IboMan1(m): 9:43pm On Dec 22, 2010
Touch not my anointed and do my Prophet no harm. For all those that know .

I know there is alot of evil in the society but be weary when it comes to the Man of God.
The bible says we should pray for our Leaders.I see nothing wrong in a King humbling himself before
a Prophet (even if it is a political stragey). But then how do you affirm his prayers are not genuinely motivated.

Culture / Re: Disability Awareness In Nigeria by IboMan1(m): 3:34pm On Dec 22, 2010
I totally feel you on this and I appreciate a whole lot that you could share
your story with us.
I recall with gratitude to God my story from 3years ago.

I was vibrant , high flying, had 3jobs that kept me busy, excited about life and making money.
I had just started executing my plans to start up another business that would see me going to
dubai,USA and other countries and it happened.

An auto accident along Ijebu Ode /Ibadan express way that saw me paralysed and on my back in hopital for more than 3months.
I cannot begin to explain how it feels to be confined to a bed. Not been able to raise your head because of pain nor your arms nor legs because you just could not move them.I am humbled today by a Mothers love , my Mother. She stuck with me,those months sleeping on the hospital floor. She received so much insults from the nurses , matrons but she kept on taking it just because she wanted to see me better and the fact that I couldn’t be moved much. You see I had brocken my back bone and the bone was resting on the spinal cord, i had also broken my hip bone, and fractured my ribs. Believe me this is the definition of pain.

The Doctors say that my case was just a miracle.I walk with a stick and I still have foot drop. That means I need braces to walk.
But you see there a number of places I cannot go to. Some banks will not allow me into the banking hall.
I cannot get out of my house and into a bus on the street. I cannot go to busy areas because I might just get pushed down. That is the same even worse for people that do not have the convenience of a car and a driver.

I want everyone in this position to keep believing in yourself and say yes I can. You can do everything you set your mind to. The trauma of the accident rears its head sometimes but I dont let it put me down.
Elizabeth is Strong and I encourage her to keep at it. I am back at work. Though its more of a managerial state. I don’t carry PC’s like before. I more confined to desktop duties but like Liz I know the sun is up and I am smiling I am going to be totally restored.

Now what I experienced in the hospital caused me to give a speech at the teaching hospital . Some claimed they didnt remember my case .I faulted the nurses and doctors not just because of how I was treated but how others were treated. I would wake my mum to attend to a patient in a general ward because he/she was crying and needed assistance and some nurses would turn a deaf ear. Some nurses will manhandle the patients. We need to be our brothers’ keeper.
Politics / Re: Fg Defends Presence Of Military Men At Phcn Power Stations by IboMan1(m): 2:26pm On Dec 22, 2010
Let them privatise.
The fraud , the corruption and inefficiency will be curbed once and for all.
All who know there onions have nothing to fear.
It will be more expensive for the end user if the prospective investor should go into running their
own power lines from street to street. That is the major difference between sale of nitel and PHCN.
GSM has nothing to do with cables unlike PHCN. Power lines and Cables are everything in PHCN

Education / Re: Doing Mba Abroad by IboMan1(m): 12:36am On Jul 28, 2010
However, if u do want to pursue the full programme onsite
trust me u have to be financially prepared. At least a sizeable amount of the
cost of the tution will have to be paid upfront to allow u concentrate on the course itself.
Its alot . First choose the school then you will find facilitators that will explain what u need to know.
When you get admitted you will be allowed to work but in certain countries you work time will be
limited cos they have strict laws and ur visa type determines ur ability to work .
Education / Re: Doing Mba Abroad by IboMan1(m): 12:25am On Jul 28, 2010
Have u considered doing your MBA online.
Still ,after going thru reports on the web ,one has
to be careful in choosing this option.

truly it should be "out with Aondokaa" and out of the corridors of power
for him.
its a bit uncomfortable for me when some bothers well seated in diaspora
stay ere and call for a break up in naija. Granted alot is amiss but a breakup?
do we really understand what it means to split and the consequence.?

Romance / Re: What Should Fred Do.? by IboMan1(m): 6:28pm On Mar 14, 2008
@cassiel
I'm really sorry if this sounds like a movie script. I obviously wanted to know where fred made the flaw. Was it in the mistake of accepting her apologies and taking her back. There are some in between details that i have left out.
Romance / What Should Fred Do.? by IboMan1(m): 3:52pm On Mar 13, 2008
Fred  was introduced to lilian, for a guy that had just come out of a failed relationship just wanted a friend. Not long after meeting they were inseperable. They went everywhere together. It was obvious Love was in the air.
Then the question came up from Lilian .
It's time we move this relationship to another level, "you know I'm not getting any younger"
Fred hesitates and sure that he would not get the blessings from the parents ,tries to persuade Lilan to give him time to convince them.
Lilian begins to leave a double life on hearing this.It just seems like an entirely different person existed within her.Fred began to doubt her every statement.Sometime he confronted her after hugging her inquired how come she had a masculine fragrance on her and she had no response.
That was the beginning of the end of part 1
Shortly Lilian leaves fred and journeys to Egypt with her new friend on an assumed get away trip weeks later she returns and asks to be taken back. That she was sorry.

what should fred do.?

Religion / Re: Are You At Peace With Your God by IboMan1(m): 2:33pm On Mar 13, 2008
The obvious perception is you have already accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour.
I do agree with Ujujoan
Religion / Re: Are You At Peace With Your God by IboMan1(m): 1:43pm On Mar 13, 2008
we all have a part of God in us.You have that peace when you have that
inner conviction.A peace that passes all understanding. An inner satisfaction with
life and lifes many trials .You run with a mind that you have a backing that come what may
you have a Father that yet answers you before you ask, this takes you to the level of faith you have in
God and the Love and Trust you have.
my advice

Pray without season and find an avenue to grow your knowledge in His word.I
ron sharpeneth Iron!
God is able.

I believe as you do so it will touch someones life who really needs to hear it.Hey God bless you as you do so. cheesy
