All talk, no action. Typical.

@ Ibime

The yorubas say "what an elder sees sitting down, a child on a tree will not see". You think because you have hit

intellectual maturity, you are the only one that has thought of seccesion? You and everyone on this thread knows we

are merely airing our opinions, until you get to the top, your opinion really doesn't matter.

Imagine the mess, unbridled show of shame that is the Truth & Reconciliation Commission holding in Rivers State &

beamed on national T.V. Commisioner and students playing "wayo" on each other over common scholarship - to

Malaysia of all places. You will sooner kill yourselves than form an independent state. Who is going to inhabit the yoruba

state when 40% of you are scattered around the world?

I agree with you. If they seceede they will start serious in fighting. They should learn from their AD party. They are too greedy to be united. They are just making noise because it is they themselves that will betray each other. I have never seen such a tribe before. Diya joined Abacha to fight his brother,Obasanjo fought Bola Ige, Awolowo and the list goes on. They are always ready to kiss the feet of the Hausa/Fulani.

I was in the North when there was religious crises and after the crises was brought under controll most the Yoruba christians quickly converted to Islam so that they will not be killed. Even God they are not faithful to then how will they be faithful to themselves. Fear Fear People with Big Mouth.

Kobojunkie:

Nigerians were paying taxes does not exempt Nigerians from cleaning up their environments. I don’t know how life is on your end but because you pay taxes does not mean you do not have to clean up your yard, mow your lawn or make sure your house is in good condition. I lived in Lagos and even though we had state workers who took care of cleaning up the streets and the gutters, we were required to clean up our properties and no amount of taxes you paid, back then, was enough to get you out of doing that work.
Now, the current Nigeria needs such a program as we all know people are less willing to clean up their properties and even less, there taxes. Such a program at this time that forces people to pay, both taxes and clean up, would push development in a huge way in that country today.

Cleaning up your house is not the duty of the bloody government to enforce. Even at primary school we were taught how to keep our environments clean. people who are conscious of their health should be able to clean their compunds every day and not wait for a particular day imposed by the government. if the goverment has a comprhensive program of collecting refuse, then people will clean their compounds and keep the refuse in the bins for collection. but when there is no such thing wht do you think they will do? After cleaning their compound, then the refuse still stays with them because the bloody government does not provide the serivces. the western world is clean not by environmental sanitation but because there is a regular program of refuse collection whihc motivates the people to clean their homes and store the refuse in bins knowing they will be collected. No sane human being likes living among refuse. it is because the government neglects the people.

Even if Nigeria were to have the best President will the Governors, LG chaimen stop looting the treasury? I think under this democratic dispensation, Nigerians should look at means of making the LG Chairmen and Governors more accountable before going for the best president.

I hate people giving Buhari/Idiagbon KUDOS because they instituted WAI. Every responsible goverment has the duty to clean the streets in a town , city etc. The duo were just forcing Nigerians to do what they were supposed to do even when the citizens had paid their taxes. There was no need for forced Environmental Sanitatiion Programme. I hated that scheme with such passion that I often broke the law. Most of the time I just use the time to sleep well or do other important things.

Politics / Nigeria Oil Giant 'paid Rebels by iseobio(m): 7:48pm On Jul 23, 2008
Nigeria oil giant 'paid rebels'
Nigerian oil pipes
It has long been believed that militants are paid to protect oil infrastructure

The head of Nigeria's national oil company has said it paid millions of dollars to militants to protect the country's oil infrastructure.

Abubakar Yar'Adua of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) made the comments to a national assembly committee.

He later said he had been misunderstood, and that no money was paid to the rebels.

A militant group responded by saying they would blow up the pipeline.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend) issued a statement claiming they had nothing to do with the alleged deal.

"To prove we were not part of the deal, the Chanomic Creek pipeline and other major pipelines will be destroyed within the next 30 days," the group said in an e-mail sent to journalists.

On Wednesday, public hearings began in a previously scheduled national assembly investigation into corruption in the petroleum sector.

It was the first time the NNPC had appeared to acknowledge paying militants.

In recorded comments heard by a BBC reporter in Abuja, Mr Yar'Adua told the parliamentary committee that rebels had asked for a $6m monthly fee, telling them to "take it or leave it".

"You have to pay, that's the truth," he said.

He was also quoted in local newspapers as saying that the company decided to pay up to protect oil facilities sabotaged by militants after it lost $81m worth of oil in two months.

"The price we pay is very high. It is difficult to get expatriates to work in the Niger Delta," Mr Yar'Adua was quoted as saying in the Guardian newspaper.

"We paid militants $12 million because we were losing $81 million to the problem of the Chanomic pipeline in Delta State."

It has long been suspected by human rights activists that the NNPC has been paying militant groups in Nigeria's oil-rich Niger Delta to stop their activities.

Mend's spokesman Jomo Gbomo said the payments had been made to a "criminal gang".

"This criminal gang is not a genuine part of the Niger Delta agitation for justice but a front. They cannot be labelled as militant freedom fighters."

Attacks on Nigeria's oil infrastructure have cut oil production by about a quarter.

Mr Yar'Adua's remarks were made at an investigation into missing money ministries were meant to have remitted back to the Federal Government from their budgets last year.
Politics / Re: Why Is The Eastern Region The Only Region Without An Airport? by iseobio(m): 8:16pm On Jul 09, 2008
the issue is not about having an international airport in enugu or not. The pertinent question is, will the nigerian governemnt allow parallel flights from this enugu airport (assuming it is international) to all destinations in the world as currently operated from lagos, abuja, PH and kano? Enugu may become an international airport with little or no flights or may be flights only from african countries. this is thesame situatiion calabar airport is in. it was given international airport status because of EPZ but I tell you it only has flights from african countries. no flights from outside africa. I think there is a great injustice in the first place considering the population of nigeria. i always get so frustrated when travelling from Lagos Airport because of the crowd. Anytime anm travelling it is a nightmare. EWvery zone should haave an international airport and more where there are a lot of business activities going on.

I think what Enugu requires is not only international status but should be made to handle cargo as well like Kano.

Ask around. Some even allow themselves to get whipped during sex by the woman.

ARE THEY BEING WHIPPED FOR NONE PERFORMANCE OR FOR NOT WILLING TO PERFORM. If for none performance then they should see a native doctor but if for unwillingness to perform then he should be doubly whipped for frustrating her emotions and desire.

A_K_O:

lol, yeah right cheesy

Anyway I think this whole thing is quite simple.

Lady pastors generally have or are expected to have more moral laws that they keep. Most of these are not stipulated in the constitution or defined by society but are contained in the BIBLE. An obvious example is the law of 'no sex before marraige'.

On the contrary (to follow up the example), society (particularly western) don't uphold these high morals and so anything goes. I know this is quite obvious but I just felt the need to repeat so that you get my point.

Which is that if you do not hold these high morals, you have no business asking a Lady Pastor out because you are going to get Hot before marriage and your two options would be to rape her or to cheat on her. Either way, you are destroying the relationship in the short and long run, obviously. Yes, opposites attract but there are opposites that repel.

Don't date a Lady Pastor if the two of you are not agreed on moral (religious) conduct. If you are agreed then it will/should be a piece of cake.

QED. . . . .

I like being objective, you never know she may be starving for it. Just praying for a brother that will be bold enough to say please let's start. granted it may have to be the NICODEMUS WAY.

I mean, i may have to become Nicodemus when the dating her. if she ever accepts. i need more than three threads of asking her out incase one fails then i try another. it is not good for a pretty lady to waste away in the cloak of priesthood.

At least if she will allow me to hold hands when we are having fellowship with the holy ghost, then I think it will not be too bad. b but what I was afraid of is that it may be a cat and mouse game. she may deny me when other holy men are around.

why do you think pastors are esoteric in nature. i dont want to condemn them. If you feel she will be quoting the bible, then I better arm my self with the SONG OF SOLOMON.
