my aunt's "husband/uncle" is a british citizen. she's had no previous immigration problems, but the previous times she's travelled she stated him as her uncle in her application cos she feared they might not grant her entry if she declared he was her fiance. now they are married and she fears if she applies for the stay/permit to be with her husband, they might refer to her previous applications and see that thesame person she's married to is who she claimed to be her uncle.

@Londoncool

The situation ain't hypothetical. It's my aunt's current dilemma, and she doesn't know if to go ahead and apply. They got married this year.

what if the person had travelled previously under the 'uncle' thing who happens to be her boyfriend, but they are married now. does it affect anything if she decides to apply for a permit to live with her husband

I tried to contact them to no avail. I was even told that they've tightened their system so it gets harder for people to obtain visas. It still don't make sense to me and even when I asked a staff of VFS she said they've just been reshuffling a lot of things and it might just be one of those things. I sent them an email already so I'm kinda waiting for the reply.

Hi good people of nairaland,

I need your support on this little challenge.
I applied for a 6 months renewal of my tourist visa but got 2 years extension from the BHC.
I was not informed to pay d variance between the application fees of 6 months and 2 years.
Hope this action won't generate any issue for me in the future if another renewal is sought.

Secondly, i intend travelling with my wife and kid of a year old now. Here my questions;

*What documents do i need to present on their behalf for the application?
*Do i still need to include my own documents as well?
*Do i need to fill a seperate form for my child?

Kindly guide me through the technicalities involved in the filling of the forms and the documents involved.

thanking you in anticipation of your usual unflinching support and cooperation.

I don't understand how the BHC does its things. In thesame manner too, I applied for 2-yr renewal and was given 1yr. no explanations, nothing.

Hello nairalanders. I'm new on here. I see you guys are really helpful and i think its such a great thing that we nigerians are getting into. My question is I went for the BCIE fair at Ikeja today and even though I have a B in English as per my WAEC certificate, It was suggested by the british rep that I do ielts since i want to a course in public relations. what do you guys think because I think I do not need to prove my english language abilities when I was taught in english and speak it fluently too.
