I just want to confirm what a student is expected to fill on the Landing Card given to passengers on the plane is it the school's address or your accommodation address.
I am asking this because I did not obtain accommodation from my school because I intend to rent private accommodation and as you guys may know this cannot be arranged until you get to the UK.
Please I need your advice

I obtained a Letter of Attestation from my University for the verification of my Degree Certificate and to be sure the phone numbers are working I called the phone numbers on the letter only to be told that they are not reachable.
However, the Nigeria Security Printing & Minting Company (NSPMC) which produces all NYSC Discharge certificates is the same company which produces the certificate Of my University (Ambrose Alli University) and ineffect the Certificate has security features that can easily be detected by the forgery detection machines at the BHC.
I would like to know if there is any other way that I can ensure that my Degree Certificate can be verified or I should submit my NYSC Discharge Certificate along with my Degree Certificate and my WAEC as additional proof that I am indeed a University Graduate.

Please I want to know if the British High Commission, Abuja requires that you should attach a Letter of Attestation from your University for verification of your Original University Degree Certificate when submitting your Tier 4 Student Application.

Thanks to everyone who has made a comment on my post Justwise, Dayo 1401, Scobby 2007 and as well as others not mentioned.

However, whilst I agree with you Scobyy2007 that the BHC is never tired of seeing original documents I do not intend to stuff my Visa Application with documents that are not stated in the Tier 4 Migrant Guidance as I have read that including documents that are not stated in the Guidance even lengthen an applicant's Visa Application because then the BHC will decide to verify all of those documents you have included, be it relevant to the student visa application or not and if any of those irrelevant document is unable to be verified by the BHC you get refused for that particular document being unable to be verified from issuing authority.

I intend to keep my application simple and on point by submitting exactly and only documents listed in the Guidance and my advise is for other people to do the same. I have not printed out my bank statement yet as I want to do a transaction a day before I print my statement I am fully aware of the closing balance issues with GTB statements.

However, I have carefully gone through the Tier 4 Migrant Guidance again and there is nowhere that it is stated that an Attestation Letter for Degree Certificate verification must be included as it only states inclusion of Original Degree Certificate. Please I want anyone who has applied successful for their Tier 4 Student Visa to please comment on this issue as well as the source of funds issue.

I have paid 50% of tuition fees already and balance 50% is in my personal bank account already along with 5400GBP for my living expenses and I will make my application in two weeks time please I want you peeps to go through the listed documents and kindly advise if there is anything i am missing thanks.

1. CAS Number
2. Documents listed on CAS (BSc Accounting 2:2 and WASSCE English Language Grade 5) and I have both original certificates
3. GTB Personal Bank Statement (containing 50% tuition fee balance and 5400 GBP)
and of course the Visa application forms

I want to know if there is any other document i need to add tbefore submitting my application and if i also need to prove the source of funds i have in my bank account

I want to make do with the 28 days rule now and I want to pay 50% of my tuition fees upfront and then have the balance 50% and £5400 in my personal bank account but I want to know if
1. I need to show source of funds because nothing in the Tier 4 Migrant Guidance says anything about showing source of your funds.
2. Is there any case of anyone being refused Entry Clearance solely for the reason of not showing source of funds.

I found out recently that an International Company can be your Official Financial Sponsor.

1. Please what is the criteria to determine if the company meets the requirement of an International Company as stated in the Tier 4 Migrant Guidance.

2. If a student visa applicant is using this type of Official Financial Sponsor what are the documents required to make a successful Tier 4 student application.

I would like to know if

1. It is mandatory to submit a letter of attestation from my University confirming the authenticity of my University Degree Certificate along with my visa application.

2. A review of the Tier 4 migrant guidance shows that there is no where it is stated that Tier 4 student applicants are required to show source of income especially when a student applicant holds the required funds for a minimum of 28 days in a personal bank account and I am asking this question because I have held the required funds in my personal account which was paid in by my father for 2 months and I would like clarification.

First I want to wish all those who have applied success in their applications.

Please I need your advice.

1. I would like to know which other banks are advisable to use for the Tier 4 student application apart from Guaranty Trust Bank, as I have read on this forum that the British High Commission is unable to verify Bank Statements from certain banks?

2. My Course will end on 8th June 2012 while my International Passport will expire on 28th September 2012 and since my International Passport does not completely cover the additional four months usually given to a student after the course end date, will I need to obtain a new International Passport?

1. My programme starts on 14th February 2011 and I am fully aware that I can apply 3 months in advance. I will like to know when this 3 months starts counting?

2. The programme ends on 8th June 2012 while my International Passport expires on 28th September 2012. I will like to know if this will be an issue with the BHC as I do not mind being given less than the 4 months usually given in addition to your course end date.
