i pray this never happens to me. if i find myself in a situation like that, so long as i love him, i'll stay, not just because of the kid, but for him.... there's are ways of deriving sexual pleasure besides using a dick, i'll take that option(e no go easy o), cos it could have been me, shit happens! sad

submit my paycheck?? excuse me! Right now am dating and my man doesn't know how much i earn(i don't know how much he earns either, i've never asked though) but if he asks, i'll tell him but submit as in give it to him, no way! i'll make sure i contribute to the family's well-being, when ever i can, but i can't give him my paycheck to determine how w'll spend it,if he gives me money for the running of the home i'll collect and add mine if it's not enough, but other than that...count me out.
Family / Re: When Love Dies, Will You Stay For The Sake Of Your Children? by justme: 2:09pm On Feb 02, 2006
i won't stay in a loveless marriage for the sake of my children, cos those kids will grow up tomorrow and make a life for themselves and by then i might have grown old, too old to start again, therefore if love goes sour, i'll fast and pray for GOD's guidance, also i'll try my best to put it back on track(cos it might well be my fault) but if all avenues are exhausted and nothing happens, abeg i dey waka o, better single and happy than married and unhappy sad, i had an aunt who died in a loveless marriage, now the husband has re-married
Religion / Re: You're A Christian, Your Wife Is A Muslim. Will The Marriage Work? by justme: 1:40pm On Feb 02, 2006
yemstrad:

I agree with you. One God, one Love and one Destiny. We should stop the discrimination. As long as there is love, difference in religion believe will not be an obstacle to any marriage.
yes you're right, but what you should understand is that religion is a very strong thing, your friend can be of a different faith and your relationship would grow, but where marriage is concerned, theirs a big stop sign, its either one party gives in to the other or they go their seperate ways, there's just no way it will work, its even easier for a pagan and christian/muslim to co-habit than muslim/christian as husband and wife. sorry it will never work try it and see!
Family / Re: Suppose Your Best Friend Is Pregnant For Your Husband? by justme: 1:30pm On Feb 02, 2006
first of all GOD FORBID! my best friend? no way shocked... though it happens, but i pray it never happens to me, but if it does hmmmmm... i will leave my husband, and also make sure he breaks up with my so called friend, cos if i can't have him she shouldn't either!
Family / Re: My Friend's Parents Separated Over Her Friend by justme: 1:18pm On Feb 02, 2006
this's a tough one undecided, i think the woman if she loves her husband(and he's repentant) she should go back, cos another man might do same, except if she's ready to stay on married..... undecided maybe she can divorce him, but the best solution is to fast and pray about it, God knows best
Family / Re: Nigerian Men Who Rule their Homes With Terror by justme: 10:59am On Feb 02, 2006
Let me share a story with you people, (real life, happend a few years ago in Abuja) A man who thought that, the only way to discipline his children was to beat them up at the slightest provocation, most times in public! learnt his lesson the hard way.

He had a teenage daughter, then 18 or there about, and she always got the worst of his terrible side or so she thought. one day she got pregnant, and guess who she pointed at, her FATHER! Family members called a meeting, but she insisted it was her father, she accused him of rape. You can't imagine what the man went through,he kept saying he was innocent, but no one listened(in a case like this you're guilty until proven innocent). he was relived of his job, family members ostracized him, in fact he wished for death. some people said, no wonder he beats the day light out of his daughter each time a man so much as asks her for address to a place. In all this the man cldn't bring himself to look at his daughter talk less of beating her.

To cut a long story short, she eventually gave birth and confessed at the hospital that her father was innocent, she only wanted to punish him for all he did to her. you'd say what a way to punish someone
Family / Re: Nigerian Men Who Rule their Homes With Terror by justme: 10:13am On Feb 02, 2006
if am dating a guy and find out or even get the slightest idea that he has a violent streak, i'll leave him(its' happened before) cos i don't want myself or children to die an untimely death because of a violent father.
but come to think of it, i think most men who are voilent in the home are cowards, and the only way to feel superior is by taking out their strenght on close family members, in this case wife and children. Another thing, kids who were exposed to violence usually end up being violent, another thing i think causes this is poverty, yes! some men become violent due to frustration, no job, no money, so they feel, or think lifes hard, and those close to them which in most case is the wife and children get to feel the brunt of this, violence i mean.
Family / Re: Just Before Your Wedding, Your Husband Tells You He's Impotent by justme: 9:25am On Feb 02, 2006
humans can be very funny. this question should have being a vis versa one, cos it could also be the female here. Anyway if i love him, i'll probably stay, only if its a sperm thing. i have no qualms with adoption, but i do with sex grin cheesy. am a very emotional person, and can't see my self holding him all the time without sex(hell no!!!!). if its an erection problem which am sure cannot be cos any man that stays close to me without having a hard-on is probably sick so i'll know before hand, and won't even let it get to that stage before quiting. cool
Family / Re: Why Do Men Think Their Extramarital Affairs Are Ok? by justme: 9:04am On Feb 02, 2006
a man or woman should never cheat on each other, even if they're yet to get married. the problem with niger is that a lot of people get together for the wrong reasons, and when they realise what they've gotten into, they start searching for a way out, also most nigerian men will continue to cheat on their wives because they learnt same from thier parents. so parents should bring up thier children in the right way, maybe this will help avert this sort of behaviour among our people.
Family / Re: Will You Be In the Labor Room With Your Wife? by justme: 5:15pm On Feb 01, 2006
me i'd want my man to be there! i once stayed with an aunt of mine (on request fom her) cos her husband was away, and its her first child, so she was aprehensive, and didn't want to be left alone with total strangers,.... but she's a strong woman, and didn't cry one bit except ask if there was any pain killers she could use, men! i was proud of her, so much courage, but she still missed her husband and refused to leave the hospital till he came which was 5 days after.
thinking back now i think he was absent on purpose(with a lousy excuse of a biz trip

Literature / Re: Those Who Love Novels by justme: 6:06pm On Jan 31, 2006
Farriel:

Just to drop a line concerning The Da Vinci Code and Dan Brown.

@Z4M4Eva, it's surprising that you hold such views about Dan Brown's books. I'm sure that people understand that The Da Vinci Code is a novel and therefore a work of fiction, but it leaves me bemused when they attack it so fiercely and make scathing remarks that undermine the quality of such a stunning work of fiction.

It is important to remember that a reader does not have to agree with every word in the novel. Just the same way you watch a highly emotional true life story played out nicely on TV, you accept most parts of the story but surely not everything. All the movie serves to do is provoke your senses and leaves you debating what's fictional from what's factual. I think you should view The Da Vinci Code in such ways and let others judge the book for themselves.

Having said a lot, my favourite authors are endless - since I read a lot, but to mention a few, I think Henri Charriere, Michael Prescott, Dan Brown, Tami Hoag, James Patterson, Jeffrey Deaver, Patricia Cornwell, Michael Crichton, Richard Preston, Scot Turow, John Grisham, Robert Ludlum, Jeffrey Archer, Wilbur Smith, James Hadley Chase, Ed McBain, Ken Follet, Stephen King, H.G. Wells, Mario Puzo, Phillip Kerr, Gerald Seymour, Nelson Demille, etc, and to many more whom I can't remember their names now, are amongst my all time favourite authors.

God bless them all for writing books that have had significant influence on my choices.
hi zee(z4m4eva) i agree with farriel, i think you should read the book first, you know as they say different strokes for different folks, as for me i read anything in print and draw my own conclusions, or what do you think? smiley
