Anyway, all I can suggest is that she appeals to the school and see what they say or take the degree they award her and move on with her life, than do the whole year again, with money she doesn't have. Things are tough in the UK so try and understand why your relatives might be finding it difficult to fork out, especially such amount. And don't forget it's not just school fees....there's books travel, etc!

What a silly conclusion to come to. In my house we always went to an early mass and there was no time to eat before going, and my mom believed in fasting before receiving communion. Nothing to do with poverty or folks being mentally ill. Someone like me doesn't have appetite at that time of the day and church was only like 2 hours anyways. Sorry, can't help you there but prevention is better than cure. Just like signing pre-nup, when you have a lot to lose and you don't know tomorrow. Sickness doesn't have to be seen as a bad thing. Think of how many cancer stories have brought hope to mankind. Think of how many smart people have been able to have a career because of illnesses. Think of how many people who have come back to God when they were ill. Think of how illnesses have brought people closer. Etc. Doesn't always have to be a negative. God created evil (if not how did Satan become evil? Or was Satan so powerful he could create something God couldn't?)
