Don't even bother they will deny it unless you captured it with video. It's your word against theirs.

Hmmmm... I done hear u ooooo!!!
Politics / Re: Are Culprits Stripped Before Being Jailed In Nigeria? by kennyman20(m): 3:26pm On Jul 15, 2013
Kirinwa: Op my advice is that you should let it go since they didn't molest your sister.Like you said she didn't later strip. If you take it up what will you accuse them of?Moreover you said you don't have evidence.

Next time you decide to take it up you have my full support but I pray it doesn't swallow you.Because it will drain your time, money, resources.Unless you take it with the spirit of Martins Luther King or Mandela that even if it's the last thing you do on earth. Be ready for anything and count the cost.

Thanks so much.. I think have learnt something.. Thanks once again..

Sorry but are you a sensible person at all? You go to Nigerian Police station that forces people to UnCloth for tiny misdemeanour crimes like negotiating beyond some arbitrary line in the market, and start snapping photos because you are a 'Nairalander'.

@oche ejemb.. Thanks so much.. Thanks for the nice response u gave to zolajpower comment.. In addition.. I think there's a need for seun to add a rule to nairaland posting rule stating that 'u should think twice before posting a comment'

kulyie: @ op why don't you go to ministry of women affairs in abuja or google the site to get their phone numbers.this is so unfair and wicked however the ministry of women affairs will need you to give them evidence so that they can defend you in court, you know nigerian police men are liars, they can turn the tables round against you.they can say you are an armed robber or rapist. You can also go to national council of women societies, victoria island.I used to have the numbers of the lawyers there but not any more however I can give you a number of one of the women activist.I still have his complimentary card.he will hook you up to the right people who will take up your case.I hope you have substantial evidence not just mouth say because if not all efforts will be wasted.pm me if you want me to help you take it up legally

@kulyie.. Thanks so much for this useful pieces of information.. U made mentioned of a substantial evidence which i dont have and no miracle can happen to scale through in this type of situation since those we're dealing with are professional liars that uses lies to buy their way out in the absense of a substantial evidence just like how you said... I think i know what to do incase such repeat itself next time.. Thanks so much..

Yoshi-Master:
The title is a bit misleading, at least most strippers strip voluntarily.

This on the other hand is molestation, how do we mobilize to kick these bastards out?

u've just said my mind.. How i wish people can stand up to kick against this silly act cos nobody knows who's a victim tomorrow..
Is there no any police station affairs complaint lodgement body where one can lodge such complain?

Hmmmmm... Very useless bunch of people.. Had it been i've anybody as a police in my family.. I'll be the one to poison such person.. That symbolises the extent of my hatred for them..

Gosh, that is disgusting.

Has the police descended so low? Even for them suggesting that at all, they should punished.

i just hope government see into any station involve in such act and get the people involved punish or is there anywhere someone can lodge complain about the act.. I mean any police station affairs complaint lodgement body that can best take up the case and get rid of the silly act apart from taking them to court...

360command: This is not new in nigeria. Its has been happening. Don't you hear of people reporting cases to you on what happened to them at the station. Sorry about your sis ,I am glad she did not enter the black mamba.

Thanks for ur concern man..

bloggernaija: Actually ,the police are suppose to remove any item with which you can hurt your self ,commit suicide or use as a weapon.
While I am not sure of the prevailing situation , I can assure you, this is the standard operating procedure worldwide when a constant, round the clock monitoring and surveillance, is not available .

do u mean when a constant, round the clock monitoring and surveilliance is not available.. The last resort should be ladies going unclad into cell? Is clothing a weapon or does clothes harm?
Politics / Re: Are Culprits Stripped Before Being Jailed In Nigeria? by kennyman20(m): 3:08pm On Jul 14, 2013
sylvalord: *sighs* this is pure molestation and u guys shld sue dem 4 it.. SMH @ d police force

Thanks.. Have been thinking of the sueing of a thing.. Just that am confused cos am not used to police station and dont knw if stripping of ladies wears before entering cell is legal or not.. Cos the way my sister told me that when she objected.. They yelled at her thats how its been done else she would be dealt with.. Some sort of threat anyway..

Nairalanders, kindly forgive my ignorance incase aint posting this info in the right section. Dont know where to post it.. So, thought this section is the best section for it.

Anyway, here's the crappy scene that happened in one stupid nigerian police station which has not stop putting me in serious amazement up till this very moment.

Here goes the story..
Yesterday, my sister went to the market to get some stuffs. On getting there, some developments were going on by the nigerian police asking all the market women and shopowners to maintain only their shop in displaying their goods and as well for doing their selling things.

So, where my sister was negotiating what she wants to buy, the police have been there before, warned them to maintain a certain boundary.. My sister wasnt aware of this because she got there some minutes after when the police left there. While she was negotiating.

The police were fast approaching where she was, she just saw people running. So, she was of the opinion that they were chasing a culprit. She had to maintain her position. Surprisingly, the police came and arrested her. She asked them of her offence.

They told her, when she gets to their station. when they got there. They told her that the place she was standing negotiating is out of bound due to the recent development. She pleaded that she's unaware. To cut the long story short. Before she knows it.

The next thing she heard was that she should start pulling her top and bra that's she's going to the cell. She was like, how would she unclad herself because she's going to cell. They told her that's how its been done. Anyway, she's there arguing with them when we got there.

Thank God. With the intervention of some people. We're able to settle the issue. Nairalanders, the station in question is sango ota police station in ogun state.

My question is that. Is that the way any female culprit in every Nigerian police station is been treated or is it this station in question that formulate their own policy?

Pls, the contribution of any nairalander that has been a victim of this nasty treatment is highly needed for everyone to know if its legal or not and for one to know how to deal with such situation incase such happens to anybody in future.

Every blessed day, americans do says 'God bless america' if haters can just do this country a favour by stopping to make silly comments about GEJ.. Instead, use that time in saying a simple statement..' God bless nigeria' I bet u, that statement will go a long way..before u know it.. This country would be better off and ur joblessness which gives u room hurling insults on people would be taken care of..
Politics / Re: 175 Inmates Escape In Jail-Break In Akure by kennyman20(m): 8:21am On Jul 01, 2013
i wonder the amount of innocent people that would have suffered for this cos if in the process of trailing and capturing the prisoners, they didnt succeed.. They'ld end up going for the innocent people, implicating them all in the name of replacement and as well for the govt to see that they're up to the task.. Since the implicative polices are even involved coupled with cash that would be dished out to top police officials.. This will result in their boys picking anybody for replacement.. Getting back the 175 prisoners that fled isnt a child's play.. I just pray may God fight for the innocent and uneducated people that would be arrested by the police, taken to their stations and start dictating to them the implicative statements to write down and append their signatures on it.. And the illiterate fellow wouldnt know what he she is putting down until when it comes to reality.. It once happened to a friend of mine.. God saved him cos he knew what the idiotic policeman was asking him to write.
