Babe, not sure about bridge having the highest success rate o ,they are a pioneer though i've had a lot of people go to Bridge,Nordica,Nisa etc, what we do not know for sure is how many attempts did they achieve success,i had posted earlier about a friend who was +ve first time at bridge and two days later ,was _ve,the reason Bridge gave was that the linning of her womb was thin.I was so upset cos at the time they started stimulation they should have checked the linning of the womb, i know someone abroad whose Fs had to freeze the embryo cos her linning was so thin and she had to treat that and then asked her to come back for a FET.

That singular stuff with my friend put me off o,after spending 1milla ,so there are so many scenarios ,one thing i tell people is you just need to be informed and i hear bridge does only 2 embryo transfer cos of some Uk regulation,i understand the multiple risk thing but i do not think there's any clinic in Nigeria that has a UK standard yet, regulation is good but we should have a UK standard before we start regulating,UCH london does only Eset(Elective single embryo transfer ) and i hear they have fantastic results. So a lot depends on God,and the expertise of the personnel

Hi Osi,

It's rather unfortunate that this things can't be verified in this part of the world.
The effizy in that clinic na real wah,the place fine pass Lagos Oriental hotel sef.

This Drs are making cool money,we need to be more prayerful o so that infertility will not be mentioned amongst us and there won't be need to consult any specialist

Why does clomid cause a thin uterine wall linning? Just wondering .A lot of gynaes do not tell their patients that and when some of them are lucky to get pregnant, they miscarry,a lot of TTc ladies do not know a thick uterine wall is necessary for sustaining a preg,a friend of mine who tested +ve to preg via ivf was told later that the result was -ve again and the exuse they gave her was because the linning of her womb was thin,US specialists insist on having an 8mm uterine wall before even conceving.

I know a Dr in Us who will not treat you until he can build your uterine linning to at least 9mm.

Thanks Osiyemia,

If you don't mind my asking was it IVF?If so was it just one attempt,i met someone yesterday who spoke so highly of him ,she has two kids already, her first is 4yrs old and the second is 2.She's about 52 but she said she had success at the third attempt.

GUys,

It is well.Been TTc since 2005,succeeded in 2009 but had a mc at 18 weeks.Never conceived since then,my FS has suggested ovarian drilling or ivf ,i prefer ivf cos the last thing i think i need right now is any form of surgery ,had a cardiac arrest in the theartre in 2009.

Looking at the ivf route, thought of going abroad but i hear there are good centres here too.

Does anyone know anything about St Ives?Have you heard anything about the doc there (Tunde Okewale) and his practice.

Please any input will be appreciated.

Love & Baby dusts to all

Hi Chukzfreal,

Ok am not a doctor and i really don't know what blocked uterus is but i know what asherman does is to seal some part of the uterus such that blood can't flow out freely.Imagine u have a fresh wound that does not dry up,evacuations,D & Cs,after surgeries are main causes,a d & C violently done scrapes the inside of the uterus and it might cling together so maybe that's what ashermans is but there could be so many things wrong.Get a proper diagnosis from not just a good clinic but a professional doctor.I also understand that sometimes ashermans prevents pregnancy depending on the severity,or even miscarriageif someone takes in

@IVy/Ejademen,

Sometimes u really need to praise God in the midst of all this just for your sanity.I've read supernatural childbirth o but i seem to be loosing faith.God have mercy

Arlington,

hmnnn it is well,my docs thinks i have ashermans and am so certain i do not have and to proove them wrong my periods have flowed so regularly since june without any medication.I made a decision to stop using medications until further notice and prayed about it and God heard, prior to the conception i had last year i had to be on medication to have a period but miraculously my periods have been flowing and i use pads ,i used to use panty liners before cos it was so scanty.

I live in Lagos.I need a clinic that is very careful and highly professional and technologically advanced

Thanks HasyakBut does a doc just look at a patient and say she has ashermans.I've had 2 DCs in the past and started having irregular periods .I understand the best way to diagnose ashermans is thru hysteroscopy which i hear most gynaes are not trained to do.Had an hsg done last year which does not show any sign of scarring in my uterus,i also lost an 18 weeks pregnancy in Sept last year.My docs have been saying they suspect ashermans but i just totally disagree with them. Not ready to allow anyone to open me up unduly, another doc told me the miscarriage is due to cervical incompetence

Hello Everyone ,

Am 31,going on 32 and very new o the thread,i've posted something on the doc(O & G blog but i think this is where i should be.Been everywhere and am tired.Been ttc since 2005,history of high prolactin, pcos and all that nonsense,i've stoppes listening to docs as they suceed in getting me more confused. So i've taken matters in my hands, have loads of books that talks about infertility, the internet has also been a goood source but since June of this year i decided to give docs & hosps a break, and i seemto feel better in my body,my periods used to be so irregular and scanty that i don't wear pads but the reverse is the case now i use pads and have regular flows for up to 5 days so i think the wait and see approach sometimes works but i'm considering IVF ,does anyone know any solid clinic in Naija?By the way i lost an 18weeks pregnancy in Sept 2009 and nothing has happened since then.

Has anyone heard of Ashermans Syndrome?

He is our Peace.

Arlington which clinic do u use

Hi People,just joined the thread.

Am 31 going on 32 in about three months, been TTC since 2005,I did not train as a doc but based on all the books i've read, tests have done and internet research i think i can say am a doctor in my own right(Don't get me wrong o i was not even a medical student)but i've been through the valley of shadow of death in the quest to getting pregnant, had a cardiac arrest trying to do a laparoscopy. Can u beat that.Am alive and well and still fighting on,thinking of going the IVF route but need a clinic that is extremely careful and professional as i have to do some screenings abroad in conjuction with the clinic i choose here.Which IVF clinic will you consider the best. Are there known success stories?

Anyone ever heard of Ashermans Syndrome?

Hi Freancescy/UGo,

Not done the test yet o,their HR was meant to call me last week but they did not call,i also will not call so as to prepare adequately for the job.I want the job so bad however am not desperate and i don't try to get excited about this things until i have the offer letter. The restructuring seems to be an issue and i even hear that there are people who have their offer letters but have been told not to resume,i plan to call them after the public holidays.

By the way am an advocate of doing your own thing yourself, all this employers are something else, they can break your heart over a million times.

Would want to PM you guys ,how can i get your email addresses?

hi Francescy,

It's also an experienced hire job ,i did not apply, kind of referral but they said i have to do the test.Did u use any materials to practice.Been to that SHL site but can't seem to get anything. If you know anyone there i'll suggest you follow up,i think they are restructuring and may need people from time to time but they also seem to be conservative,i hear there are people who have offer letters but have been asked not to resume yet.

Times are really hard,i think we should stop focusing our attention in banks for now
