Is dere any further doubt that this man, Shehu Sani is the spokesman of the boko haram sect? It's A Lie; No Genuine Talks Between FG and Boko Haram –Shehu Sani It appears the Federal Government is again deceiving Nigerians about the said dialogue between it and the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram. This troubling revelation was made by a coalition of civil rights organisations in the North under the aegis of the Civil Rights Congress, CRC, on Sunday. National President of the CRC, Mallam Shehu Sani, noted that the talks might have been designed by the government to give Nigerians false belief that the government is on the verge of combating insecurity in the country. The CRC boss, while reacting to the said talks between the sect and the government on Sunday insisted that the leadership of the Islamic sect had not come out categorically to the public through its channel of communication, on such decision to enter into round-table talks. “I am not aware of any talks going on. No credible talks are going on. If there is going to be any genuine talks, there should be confirmation from the leadership of the group and not the government. The only channel of communication by the group is through YouTube posting by the leader, Mallam Shekarau. "And as far as I am concerned, I do not think or believe that there is any dialogue going on because it has not come from the usual source,” Sani stressed. He said the reported dialogue between government and the sect was raising false sense of hope while on the ground there was no credible evidence to establish what the government had claimed. The CRC boss said, “The talks between the Federal Government and Boko Haram is not impossible, but it must be done honestly and sincerely and through channels that are credible. From my own understanding, the Federal Government must have been drawn into dubious talks or it is more of ‘arranged’ talks. “I am of the belief that this arrangee talks will only undermine the search for peace. And then I will add that this senseless killings and bombing going on in the North should be ended by honest and sincere commitment and not by seizing, misinforming and misdirecting the conscience of Nigerians. “A genuine talk can only be recognised by a cease-fire and cessation of all hostilities and that can only be believed if it comes from the leader of the group.” http://www.olufamous.com/2012/08/its-lie-no-genuine-talks-between-fg-and.html |

like sriously, where shall we run to? Two arrested at Zaria hospital over VP’s house attack PDFPrintE-mail Written by Isa Sa’idu, Kaduna Wednesday, 01 August 2012 05:10 Share inShare SocButtons plugin Two of the three people believed to have attacked the Zaria residence of Vice President Muhammad Namadi Sambo were apprehended by the police on Monday at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika in Zaria. Confirming the arrest to Daily Trust yesterday, acting public relations officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Abubakar Balteh, said it was nemesis that caught up with the attackers. An impeccable source at the ABUTH said the attackers were apprehended when they took one of their wounded to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot. “Two of them (attackers) came to the hospital with a police escort. They were admitted based on the report that the injured person was shot by armed robbers. Unfortunately for them, he was given a bed by the side of the mobile policeman who sustained gunshot injury during the attack on the VP’s house. The policeman immediately recognized him as one of the attackers and he alerted his colleagues and that was how they were apprehended,” the hospital source said. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/index.php/news/173225-two-arrested-at-zaria-hospital-over-vps-house-attack |

A lot of lies keep cropping up from up against the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan despite the war he is waging in restoring the pride of the nation and it keeps baffling me. This is a nation that has been mismanaged since independence with every cow boy having a field day with our resources, courting massive corruption in the petroleum industry, power sector, trade and investment, natural and mineral resources, construction, police, civil service, pension management and virtually anything and everything you can think of and here is a man that is facing the herculean task of regressive speeding on the path of economic destruction, and what does he get? People are acting as if the monster militating against Nigeria was created by GEJ,and I am left baffled....I don't want to work the religious or ethnic angle,I don't wan to work the economic and social sabotage angle.....can't they just speak the truth? Is it because the man is not violent and a manipulator or and evil genius? An answer is required please! If this is criticism, then it is blind, disjointed, hate filled and malice driven castigation! this is a very valid observation, n i am glad u have brought it up. my concern also revolves around the fact that the Office of the President has been so belittled that any one can wake up in the morning and say all kinds of malicious things. it is only in Nigeria that the sacredness of the Office of the President and the Person, ie the President are constantly 'violated' by indigenes, and foreigners are encouraged to do same. this is truly sad. in all honesty, the problems of Nigeria did not start today....if u do a little research, its not hard to identify those responsible. however, let us concentrate our energies towards getting her on the right track. i always maintain, mutual respect is key. |

@Bold: Its unfortunate PDP and the rest of the gang is screwing your head this badly. So much hatred for reality for someone who claim to be a Christian and Nigerian, am glad you are not representing any other Nigerian. [quote author=egift] i honestly do not wish to be dragged into the category of persons who spew insults on dis forum. i want to believe we are adults, and thus shd be able to express our opinions and feelings on any subject. that i do not agree with your point of view or opinion should not make me a subject for insult. i am only responsible for what i say. what you deduce from it is entirely your business. respect is key. |

Anyway lets offer some therapy to your ignorance before the paramedics arrive and haul you bard to you ward. egift: When I read the title I knew another patient has left Yaba Left prematurely. Anyway lets offer some therapy to your ignorance before the paramedics arrive and haul you bard to you ward. Who ever calls Bakare a man of god needs to have his head examined. He is a classic case of a coward, hiding under the cloak of religion to pull down. A man who can stoop so low as to insult the living daylight out of Buhari and den want to dine wit him is nothing but a dog going back to its vomit. Truth be told, he has lost touch wit God, n is jst using the heads of persons like you. Shine your eyes ohhhhhhh |

There is no gain saying that one of the definitive characteristics of a democratic system is the existence of opposition party (ies). In a working political atmosphere, these Parties check the excesses of government, while working assiduously to take over power through constitutional means. Among strategies they adopt to take over power are formation of political alliances, presentation of people oriented manifesto and so on. The last election which was adjudged by both local and international observers as the fairest saw Parties fielding their best candidates to contest the no.1 seat. It is no longer news that some Parties abandoned their candidates in support of the PDP (as exemplified by Tinubu and his ACN). The ACN in a bid to give the Party national coloration, fielded Ribadu from the North, but later abandoned him in the heat of the election. Recently, the media has been flooded with reports of an alliance between CPC and ACN. Tinubu and Buhari are said to be in secret talks, which may culminate in both Parties presenting a single candidate. At one of such meetings, it was reported that Tinubu alluded to wielding more political power than Awolowo and MKO Abiola put together. Let us not forget that Tinubu may have ended up as an obscure entity, but for the emergence of Fashola on whose back he has ridden, and this, after a characteristic display of tendencies to hold unto power for life. These acts are shameful, and do not represent the true image of the Yoruba nation. Hence, the following questions r pertinent: will the alliance work, can both Parties be trusted? Has Buhari suddenly become a saint to attract the fancy of the ACN, or does Tinubu intend to play a fast one and abandon him as he did with Ribadu? Ultimately, with what is known about both men, can they win an election in Nigeria? Nigerians are waiting patiently to see if the product will be a holy or an unholy alliance. But seriously, what do you guys think? p.s. i look forward to being listed on the front page. |

There is reali a lot that needs to be said.......however, I'd advice that state governments and community leaders, like grassroots persons be engaged actively in the fight against insecurity. I don't see state governors do anything except fight for state police n more allocation. |
