Please All, I intend visiting the States to see my sister and her family. Visa secured already. On my ds160, I stated that I will be staying in her apartment and the address was included. Going forward after the visa issuance and the desire to have some privacy cos I do lots of reports writing and online submissions at my place of work, I intend staying in a hotel in the same town as against my sister's apartment as stated earlier. My question; is it possible that this is seen as a discrepancy at the POE? Kindly advise.

Thank you soooooo much, this information is more than enough. I intend applying with my hubby and 1year old baby for tourism visa, I'll provide details of where I'll be visiting too. Aldou I don't have travel experience except a 1 month france visa the 3 of us got in february which we didn't use due to emergency that came up. But My hubby is a frequent traveller to the UK since 2005 and has a valid 5years visa. Pls like how much was your account balance when you submitted? Thanks for your relpy I really appreciate!

hayek: As long as there is no annotation on your visa, you can use same for other dates. In case the question arises, simply tell them the truth that work schedule didnt permit you to travel then. But bring along evidence of your work and leave letter if possible.

Fisayo Agric: Hello House, Pls i submitted my Temporary Residence Visa Applicatn on 24th April 2013, and wen i tracked it yesterday d status read “Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa office Lagos, on 18/06/2013 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website“. Pls could dis be a positive news i‘ve bn waiting for?

Vicjustice: I don't think your Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) application was refused because the visa officer thought you do not have a good travel history, but because the officer is not satisfied that your given purpose of visit holds enough water.
Perhaps you meet every other requirement, but if the purpose of your intended visit does not seem to be a valid reason to apply for the TRV, you may still be refused.
Knowing that applying for a visa is not just for anyone who will or anyone who desires but for those who have valid reasons to travel, i recommend that you make a good travel plan by studying the areas that you wish to give as places of your interest and make reasonable arrangements of how you intend to spend your time and the activities that you will be engaged in during your stay: if you can explain these to the visa officer, you would be approved.
