Attention
You guys are getting his question wrongly, not appointment but emergency appointment. You need to pay your sevis fee first bro, what if embassy gives u next week date what will you do without your sevis fee confirmation with you. Pls pay your sevis fee before booking emergency, delay is dangerous

Pls frnds my interview is on 31st dec and my school said u shld b in school on or defore d 6th of jan 2014 for spring session,,my problem is this,,wil d embassy ask me why am coming late since I was given admsision since august wil it create problem for me in d embassy? Anoda question is if dey give me visa and I travel around 20th of jan cos of preparations wil it create problem for me entering d Us as classes are begining on d 13th pls help!
Pally this your issue get K leg Oº°˚˚°ºo, what have you been doing since august that u just decide to apply in dec 31st, normally if Vo issue you the visa it will take 2-3days for your visa to be ready and am sure you can't travel before the resumption of your school and again that will be a problem for you at POE. My advice is this, try emergency option cos that's the only way for you to meet up. My school n your will resume the same date and I have my visa already. I hope this help

In fact, I don't think Nigerians live here. You would have to drive for at least 10-12 miles south before you find Nigerians in this county. Most of my family and family friends live in the middle and southern parts of San Diego county. Escondido is a city in the county.
I hope racism is on the low side cos with percentage it shows that blacks don't want to say in the state and again how is the accomodation like in California

Kunlebal,,pls do u still need to fill d sevix I-901 form online if u will pay tru Western union in cotonou,,
I don't think you need to fill the online form if you are paying sevis fee at cotonou because they will give you western union form there to fill but You can fill it on your desktop and print it out, so that you can use it as a guard in filling the form there. I hope this help
All the best

ikaboy: Hello Gurus! my appointment is for November 26th and my passport is to expire on the 7th June, 2014. I hope using the passport will fly?
Dec-June to my best of knowledge is 7months and Usa rules says, don't bring passport that will expired in 6months time to the embassy.
NOTE:
If you didn't travel before january 2014, there will be a problem at POE. So I will advice you either to renew in nigeria or travel in december.

OjaP:

In addition to what BigFrancis said, she can apply for a F-2 visa if you guys are "legally married". You have to show proof that you will be able to sponsor/take care of her while here. This means she would have no recourse to public funds all through her stay in the US. Many people do that, and you can go through that route if you can defend yourself.

However, I should warn you that this category of visa lists your wife/child as your dependent, so you have to be responsible for them while here. I don't know how this would be possible if you don't have a job to support them. Most of us who go to the embassy paint a picture of a decent job and income. I am so sure your wife would paint that kind of picture too if going for an interview. But does it really make sense to abandon your high-paying job to relocate to the USA where you can't work and depend on a graduate student? These are few of the loop holes you have to close before letting her go to the embassy.

If I were you, I would come here first, study the system for like 6 months, calculate my income, and determine if that is what I really want to do. Unless you plan to leave the USA after your education, getting a green card for your wife would be so difficult. She may be bored to death in this country because she won't be working. And for you, your surest option of getting a green card would be through job. You have to go through the H-1B to green card route if you are lucky to get a company file for you. Since you are married, green card through marriage won't be possible again unless you divorce your wife and marry a citizen - I won't even advise you to do this. It is very risky. But if you do, what would be the fate of your wife? Well, she can re-marry and get a citizen file for her too. And would you end your marriage with your wife because of green card? This is tough to do if you truly love your wife. These processes may take a long time and in most cases could be so frustrating.

This is not to diminish your joy in anyway but just for you to plan very well before bringing your wife here. And like I said earlier, unless both of you plan to go back home after your studies, this may not be the best thing to do. I assume your wife is educated, if YES, let her apply to grad schools and go for a F-1 visa. With that, both of you have good chances of getting a H-1B or even a green card later in life.

Again, congratulations and welcome to the land of the free home of the brave.

wow, thanks boss. really appreciate your write up. my vision and mission statement is GREEN CARD bro. grin after my studies

WHIZBRO: Congratulations to Nomso and Kunlebal.

@godG, sorry about your withdrawn TOEFL, Afe Babalola centre is a cesspool of corruption. Your next TOEFL is on me, come to my office or PM me your details (as I promised on my other thread). You are a good guy and you deserve the best.

As for prospective GRE students, do yourself a favor and write in Ghana. Last time I checked they had Mon - Wed from now till December. Minimize costs by balkanizing your Journey.... You'll spend less than 7k to Ghana. Get hostels @ Tudu instead of an hotel, it will cut cost.

Finally, should Nigerian TOEFL centres be reopened, avoid Ibadan centres like plague, Trust me I know.

I simply mean that repeating one question over and over and over again doesn't make sense to me: indeed, that question had been thrown several times in many threads and it did get responses as the record in this link shows:
https://www.nairaland.com/kunlebal/posts/1

Well, you got the US student visa under the sponsorship of your mother, this is allowed, but it is not the same rule if applying for a tourist visa, you need to fulfil every requirement especially on employment and financial grounds therefore,I insist that N400K in your account is like a joke hence I asked you before as I'm asking you now ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Thanks very much, am not saying i want to apply with 400k, what am saying now is that by month end the money will be around 600k upward cos of my salary n other savings that is coming to the account.
thanks for your response.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by kunlebal(m): 2:41pm On Nov 06, 2013
Vicjustice: This is nonsense now!
How many time must you ask this same question and how many time must I respond to it?
pally you never advice me on what to do you only said are you SERIOUS, if i may ask you what do you mean by that and again please be mindful of the word you use against me. what is the meaning of NONSENSE. if i dont need advice on what to do i will not come here, abi did i ask you on how to apply for my student visa in america. just tell me how you think i can go about it and i will really appreciate it.
