Should you be afraid? Remember the actors, writers and musicians who died after suffering from a disease and could not afford their hospital bills. Some of these people once had money but did not build an investment from their earnings. Could you be in their position someday? Would you want to be in their position? Absolutely not! Here are three things you can do to avoid dying in poverty as a writer, musician or artist: Earn the Money You cannot build wealth without money, so as a creative artist, work hard and smart to earn money or be poor or struggling throughout your career. Put in the work, and earn from different opportunities. Sell your work, become a digital marketer, or teach a course about your art. Build Investments Money is a temporary tool in the hands of anyone who does not invest it. It’s not enough to have some money in the bank because money is just as easy to put in a bank as it is to remove it. Whatever you do, the old advice still works; don’t put your eggs in one basket. Invest your earnings in other business ventures to make extra money. Start a Pension Start a pension scheme while still young, save some money every month in a voluntary pension plan, and monitor it. It’s one of those lifesaving actions to fall back on when you cannot create your art because of old age or health issues. Conclusion The future is good if you build a plan for it. Don’t work your youth into a penniless old age. Be smart. Be the moneymaking creative artist. If you do not wish to die as a poor writer, designer, musician, or filmmaker, have a plan, and work your plan towards prosperity. This was pulled from Becoming the Moneymaking Storyteller |

It is a troubling subject, but we must discuss it if we want a change. So what do we say? How do we say it? Do what we say even matter? Well, it does. Words matter because it can start a path to healing or quicken self-destruction. Talking about rape brings a divide among men and women, and what ought to be an opportunity to understand the issues better becomes an argumentative session about who is telling the truth and how to prove it From: AN AWKWARD STORY OF RAPE: THE RAPIST WINS TWICE https://naijapolitan.com.ng/the-rapist-wins-twice/ |

Witchersunited: Does it have to get to thousands of dead people before lagos finds a solution? Christians are not over doing anything. Who constitute majority in Benue and Plateau with the high casualties? Do you know kaduna, taraba and borno have a high Christian population too? And when you say, their own people, do you think the north is just a hausa-fulani affair? Answer these questions and rethink your thoughts on this matter. Thank you 1 Like |

Built2last: The card reader has a chip that stores information for a particular polling unit, it has no need of a server. Secondly, no server is admissible in the Nigerian court because it is not part of what is permissible according to the electoral act. If INEC was not permitted to use the server during the election, how can she put it forward as evidence in court? |

There is too much emotional attachment to this series. Many people want it ro end the way they had dreamt it. Too bad. However, I am a bit disappointed with how the showrunners rushed through the plots of season 8. It seemed as if fatigue was setting in and they wanted to end it. But I am not surprised or sad about the way the story has gone. It's the game of thrones. Most endings saddens its watchers: Ned Stark died Khal Drogo died The Red Wedding Arya and Sansa's experiences Theon's actions and redemption (there was a time the world hated him) Cersei is deemed wicked but we forget she lost her three children. Yes, she got them through incest but the Baratheon King she loved broke her into pieces by his lack of love and respect for her. Cersei has suffered too. Daenerys has always been emotionally unstable. Ser Barristan Selmy was worried about her state of mind. So am not surprised she torched king's landing. Most readers of the book looked forward to it. And by all means, the ending is what GRR Martin told them. The only problem is that they came to its ending rather too fast and less effectively. No matter what the show has done, it is no where near the masterful storytelling of the five books. It's been a great television show. |

If this is true, then the IGP would be doing something petty. Jimoh Moshood might have lobbied for the school's location in his hometown but it's not illegal. Moving it is pure pettiness and I don't want to believe the news is true. |

RichBoy247: As much as you have said the right things, I share your fear of misuse of police force, but we already call governors chief security officersof their state, and put billions in their care, we need policing at the state level that works closely with communities. How do you have community policing without any form of government control? 1 Like |

laudate: MAP was designed to work with discos by taking over the funding and purchasing of meters and working with discos on installation, and getting back their investment. Find out more abt the regulations, but one of the main provisions about MAP is that: The eleven (11) electricity distribution companies are expected to, within 120 days from the effective date of the regulation; engage the services of MAPs towards the achievement of their 3-year metering targets prescribed by the Commission. (NERC press release) |

laudate: We are saying the same thing. MAP ought not to sell it to you. You should get your meter from the discos. |

I knew something was fishy when Discos announced there were no longer in charge of metering. MAP is just there to help the discos achieve metering all over Nigeria. It makes more sense. 6 Likes |

Optimist88: If you have ever lived in the north, from the fringes of the area like Okene, Gegu up to Kano, Daura, political choices are usually about cult following. It's a case of 'who is the higher feudal lord?' Buhari rises higher than kwankwaso and he rises higher than ganduje. |

WaffenSS: This person won't get enough likes. He will easily be suspected as a Buharideen but you make a good point. Union Bank do not need to be aggressive about this, as a corporate organization, simply show your proof that there is no dirty business and respectfully shut down EFCC's initial gra-gra. But to think EFCC is over reacting over publicizing suspicion, is an over reaction borne out of being angry with any government operation. 1 Like 1 Share |

Jowanson: Many Southeasterners are enterprising but a functional sea port won't transform the Southeast. Commerce alone can't do anything. Government policies and intentional development is what made Singapore a success. The Southeast development commission won't solve anything. It would only hand more money to a select few and increase agitation from other regions. Soon the north west will ask for their own commission to battle desertification, Lagos will resuscitate their call for special status and other regions will have .something to say. It's a matter of time. 2 Likes |

Am I the only one wondering how the article did not explain the title, rather, it was more about how Buhari will betray Tinubu. And what is with the plea to a 'naive politician' like Tinubu to join ranks with Atiku? And the part about US, UK and co is just funny. If the writer knew global politics, he won't even put Iran and Saudi Arabia under one thought. Those two countries don't intentionally agree. When will Nigerians like the writer stop thinking western countries decide everything about our country. It is laughable. We destroy ourselves internally, blaming external forces is ridiculous. 5 Likes |

This is all about money. The newspapers are not making enough money and if they can get sponsored front pages, they will jump at it. Quite sad about the soldiers. May their souls rest in peace. |

This article made sense from... actually it is a hot load of molten crap. The assertions are ridiculous. All I read is a combination of what may seem like truths. No one can prove origins of most tribes since there are no written accounts. Oral tradition is the worst proof of history. Even when there are written accounts like the Bible, it is constantly debated along the lines of translation and socio cultural politics. What Reno has cooked might seem like good food but it is actually not sweet. Mo sa nile ko, mo mu lodo ni. #Renosplasticarrows |

Tinalex: We will not unite because the labour unions are no different from the politicians. Even if the fg workers get what they want , will they remain in solidarity with the state workers? Will they stand with workers of organised private sector? Labour unions can't be trusted. |
