A DPO faced with cases like this should be utterly NEUTRAL as he represent NOT the Deceased or Suspect but the STATE! Now, a citizen who falls under the protection of the STATE is found dead in a suspicious manner. As an agent of the state, it is his responsible to use his good office and the tools accrued to it, to investigate and unravel if it is homicide or not. Business was going smoothly before August 1st. I went to the market today but the protests in Lagos as little as it was didn't allow the item I wanted to buy to be transported to my state. This is not about businesses enjoying before or not, it is about disruption caused by the protest.
