Crude as the method is, people are trying to survive. If you go round Nigeria looking for a Saint before you can help, I bet you, you won't find a single one. So just do what you must and let their conscientious judge them. That way, you would've taught them a lesson they won't quickly forget. None of us is truly righteous .

You are not helping the society if that's your belief and conviction. You don't reward dishonesty

I'm not surprised at all. I have been saying this here that traders also contribute to the high prices of commodities in the market. Everyone is just fixing prices arbitrarily with unbelievable profits. Imagine adding 80k to an item that costs 350k with profit on top of it already!

But is this a crime? grin
It could be economic crime if they're short changing Nigerians by importing low grade fuel tagged "Nigeria spec".

FreeStuffsNG:

There's no conjecture in the first place just plain mischief and criminal defamation.

Those criminal defamers knew that Oando was not the importer but chose to deceive those already ignorant and filled with hatred.

Even the PECC was inaugurated recently few months ago so the attempt to link importation and the PECC are misleading and part of the mischief by losers in the election last year. Malta sells cheap petrol so it makes sense to import from Malta.

I hope you saw the slang "Nigeria spec". That's the mediocrity you are supporting. Does the "cheap fuel" really worth it with damages to the engine? Common sense is a free gift, use it

SmartyPants:

Conflict of which interests? Is the PECC a public office or a mere advisory council? Is it not one's status as a businessman that qualifies them to be on the council? Should then abandon said business?

Dangote's allegation was that directors in the NNPC have interests in blending plants. That is what we want to hear about not random businessmen who have a right to have such interests.

What kind of advice do you think such person will give when it has been uncovered that his company is responsible for the importation of low quality fuel from Malta? You think such person will give advice or be okay with any advice that will promote local refining? That's where his conflict of interest comes in. He doesn't need to stop his business but may be he should opt out of the PECC

cheesy It is no more Oando? Is this another conjecture too? undecided

Does it matter when the bottomline is still the same? And the bottomline is that Tinubu became the president and Nigerian started importing low grade fuel from Malta. The question is, what responsible for that?

and yet u abuse or want good results from the government
Are you defending corruption or what? Only a foolish person in Nigeria would fake ignorance at the level of corruption in Nigeria at the moment. From newspapers to TVs to Internet, you can't read three news without reading billions of naira being looted, diverted, mismanaged or stolen.
Dull people like you are still advocating more money for the govt when they can't even account for the ones they're making. Is it really about more money or being accountable? You have a brain but incapable of using it logically

This write up literally addresses this very issues, explaining that it wasnt a donation, rather, the president ordered the monies to be used in that manner. Why are you still making this kind of comment?
The explanation was clear but what EFCC did still wasn't appropriate. It should have been from EFCC to CBN from there, FG can decide where it wants the money to go. They're creating rooms for looting, mismanagement, diversion this way

We have strong men.

They can never stop this practice, from Obj to Jonathan to Buhari and now Tinubu. I don't know that of Yaradua though.

Those refineries, Monopoly lord LTD inclusive will not roll out fuel for certain

When marketers who are the players in the industry already projecting a price drop to 600 naira per litre with the Dangote refinery coming alive in petrol refining. Have little hope.
Dangote is not a monopolist, he's just a daring risk taker. Most Nigerian billionaires and businessmen believe in importation because that one guarantees quick returns as many of them are impatient to wait for 10 or 20 years to start making profits if they go into manufacturing.
Dangote was the last investor to apply for and get licence to build and operate private refinery and the first and only investor to do it.

But now some micrant will still open mouth to say Tinubu is this and that

Mr Madman, was it only NNPC selling at subsidised price during Buhari tenure as well? You want to be defending failure when you don't even have sense.
