We’ve bin prayn for that black American Lady @window 13 but it was a white American lady that did d interview 4us @window 16 and she has already denied 2 families and asked anoda family to come back. jidex001: This is not a bus that you tell them what you want. Every flight time is been scheduled, is left for you to browse the airlines and their time that will be convinient for you. if you want direct flight to US you will get, but arrange a huge some of money. Airmaroc according to people is cheap with less time than Qatar airways.But i flew via Qatar cause i dont wont to settle for the cheapest and i dont knw what their disadvantages is like. |

daddykelly: the time is indeed long. you can walk around the transit hall, they serve free dinner meal there and one can buy things there as well but with us dollar. |

Landed safely to JFK Airport New York. Its really an exciting journey but spent alot of time cos i flew Qatar airways and it flew to Doha first before heading to New york. U.S. immigration officers dont joke at all.make sure you keep your yellow envelop in your hand luggage cos they do serious checks before letting one in. This place is indeed God's own country.Every where is just shining with lots of lights.Many thanks to all forumite.. 1 Like |

dammymye: Can a NECO ssce result with 9 credits be use for the interview? Or WAEC ssce result with 5 credits 2Ds & 1E but no credit in Eng in WAEC case be use for the interview? Left to me, i will like to present only my NECO. Or is it adviceable to present the two results? Just wanna be sure what to do. Thanks in advance! Use the one you filled in your Dsp230 form. |

Am i good 2 go wit my birth certificate with npc bt short form My friend, calling Mr Temmy to come to you aid will not help you, Temmy gives information he feels is right cos it worked for him. why not take you time to read your appointment letter and carefully follow the instructions and do what you think is right, so that you won't blame anyone for your negligence. Anyway we don't pray for negative tesmonies here. |

Where can i get d long form becos dis short form is NPC You have to understand these and don't panic ok. National Population Commission issues birth certificates for those within the age of its establishment, but if you have been born before the establishment of NPC you will be issued an attestation certificate that requires an age declearation from any highcourt. Meaning if you are born from 1992 to date you need NPC birth cert and before 1992 you need NPC attestation which will require an age declearation before issuance. By my understanding the word long form and short form talks about the informations contained in it not necessary the size of the paper.normally, the birth cert from NPC is short in size while the attestation cert is long in size but they all contains thesame informations. |

Abimbola80: Hello house, I have Birth certificate issued by church since birth and I have been using it since I was born. i even used the same certificate in University, will be acceptable for the interview or it is a MUST to get another one issued by NPC? Pls advise I thought that the issue of NPC birth cert has been trashed out earlier in this forum. Anyway if you ask me, i will say go with the one you have provided it has all the necessary information, but if you have money, stil back it up with the NPC birth cert. theres no harm in doing that, i did that and it worked for me. Its just part of adequate preparation. |

surveyProf: To be sincere i dnt know what else to tell you other than to go get the npc birth cert and rest your mind, or you use the one you have. In my own case, i have a birth certificate issued to me at birth time by the teaching hospital where i was born but to avoid had i know, i stil went ahead to get the npc birth cert. During my interview,i submitted all i came with and the lady took the npc birth cert. one thing we should know here is that what works for one may not work for another, so prepare as much as you can and commit everything to God's hands. 1 Like |

look4all: Please is it necessary 4 somebody with the local govt birth cert issued in d late 70's to stil get d NPC It will cause you nothing to get the NPC birth cert in addition to the one you have. My take is for you to get all you think you would need to avoid regret. |

papatee2: I heard my medical report may b askd 4 at d point of entry but it wasnt given back to me after interveiw. How wil i get it back pls advice Same to me.But was told that it will be included inside the sealed envelop that will be given to us on collection of epassport with visa at the lekki address as specified on that visa collection paper given after successful interview. |

blessedisrael: hello house,when i filled my dsp form i filled waec but i want to use my neco (2 sittings)instead cos my neco is better than my waec and there's also an error in my date of birth in my waec cert.secondly do i need to provide the two testimonials from different year and schools or one testimonial can cover both? Everything you filled on dsp230 form must be provided to them, otherwise they will assume you claimed what you don't have. its better you go get an affidavit in respect of the error. Testimonial not necessary. |

God is great. I had a successful interview today. i arrived lagos u.s. embassy at exactly 10mins to 6am. when it was 6:30am,a guy came to announce that all non-immigrant for 6:30am interview should queue up. shortly,the guy then came to announce for 7:00am interview for immigrant category in which i belong. lucky enough, i was the first person in the immigrant queue category. after all thier series of announcement ranging from opening the medical envelope,what not to enter in with and series of security checks,i was finally ushered in. note, while you move from one point to another, make sure you secure all tally number given to you. after paying the 330dollar which was 54500naira,i was called to submit all my credentials. i submitted all i came with and the lady took just the needed ones e.g nysc cert, degree cert, neco cert, npc birth cert,epassport,three passport photo,one photocopy for each credentials and also the police and medical report. in summary, interview started after waiting for like 1hr 50mins. i was the first to be interview today in the immigrant category. co; calld my tally no me; good morning sir co; do you swear to say the truth me; yes i do co; collected my payment slip and took my finger print co; what do you do for a living me; i'm a lecturer co; what institution me; ...... institution co; when did you finish secondary sch me ......yr co; what do you teach me; i lecture yr1 students strength of materials and yr2 students water supply and sanitary engineering co; are you married me; no sir co; what institution did you say you work me; ...... institution co; what institution did you attend me; .......... university co; are you married me; no sir co; what course did you study me; civil and water resources engineering co; gave me dsp230 form to sign co; congratulation. me; thank you sir co; gave me a visa collection paper to go to the address as stated on friday next week for my passport and visa. many thanks to all members of these forum, success awaits everyone of us. but note, honesty is just the secret. |

saakeem2003: Hello house, this is a family of 7 but we specified in our ds form that only 3 will first go that other 4 will join. pls how many of us need medical test and does it mean all of us will go for inerview at the same time? your 2NL will list your beneficiaries and those are the ones to prepare for medicals and also need to be present duriing interview. |

imraneth: Hello Guys, do you think X-ray for pregnant women it is safe ?? during medical test. my wife is pregnant and we are going for medical this week i'm worried. Thanks your wife is not the first pregnant woman for u.s. visa medicals,the physicians there knows all these, so worry not cos they will advise you better but dnt forget to make it known to them before the x-ray. |

Ibracadabra: Good day folks... I'm planning a trip to Lagos- so I have my medicals and do d police report there. Because I don't live there, I'm making inquiries from some of you about a few things so I plan my trip well. My interview is in 4 weeks from now. I want to know how long (on d average) it takes to get d medicals and police report done... If I go to lag 2 weeks to my interview, would it b too late to get everything (medicals n police report) done in time? Or is it advisable to just go now... Making two trips would tell on me financially- so I'm trying to- proverbially speaking- kill 2 birds with a single stone... my candid advise,go now the earlier the better cos alot of people come for same u.s. visa medicals both nonimmigrants and immigrants like you, and there are only two approved hospital for that.it is first come first serve using tally number. for police report no much problem but will still advise you to do it now as well so as to rest you mind till the interview day. |

atseyi: Hello House, Is there any difference between Police Character Certificate and Police Certificate? walk to any police station close to your home and ask any of the police personnel found there,you will get to knw the difference. As for Dv lottery go to alagbon police head quater lagos and get your police clearance. |

jidex001:i'm writing out of experience. i had no medical record or any history, and i showed up for visa medical at consultant practice/children pracitce one of the u. s. recommendated hospital. it only cost me 28500naira 12000naira for registration payable in their zenith bank account 16500naira for immunization depending on the response to the medical history questions asked by the doctor. my answers was No to all cos i can remember taking any vaccine in the past. 1 Like |
