Family / Re: Is It Wise For Parents To Bath With Their Young Children by MyTempID: 9:47pm On Jun 13, 2008
Laura B:

As long as a child is above a year old, things the child sees is of great impact to the life of the child. And if a child at that early stage grows with such, it has a deep impact on the child socially and morally.

Don't under estimate these children, because they are sharp and learns quickly at that stage, funny enough learn bad things easier. So Parents be warned and also make sure your house help is not doing same in your absence. Is simply not good, not healthy to bath with a Child

Example, a child that is used to seeing older people's naked body, when do you stop him/her at what age ( the ealier the better)
Age is of great importance in this context and so is the environment. Your implication touches on perversion and not all parents clean their children with the intent to molest them. Most parents do not do this. It is the responsibility of the parent to take care of the child's personal hygeine until he or she is able to do so, self-dependently. For convenience, many parents choose to take baths with their children when they take their own baths. As long as you don't engage in some improper practices with your child while you bath, a lot of times the child will not suddenly develop a fixation for perversion.

Not true.  I do understand what you're saying, but keep in mind that two wrongs don't make a right.  I would definitely not advise any coach to sit quietly and watch his team get punked constantly by bad refereeing.  It's unmanly and obviously stupid.  What's wrong with those other teams is their inability to voice their disapproval of their maltreatment.  They shouldn't be afraid to protest against incorrect officiating. Phil did not shy away.  Instead, he stood up for his team. Yes, that shows a lot about his character. It show hsi desire to fight for a just cause.  It's not in Phil Jackson's job description to fight for calls for another team's benefit.  His team was wronged and he was outspoken about it.  That's not to be mistaken for whinning.  There's a difference between bad officiating and imperfect officiating.  Nobody is perfect, that's expected.  But, the referees have to make a seeable effort to making sure their calls are consistent.  They must do away with those ticky-tack fouls that benefit one team as opposed to another.  Your biblical quote does not apply in this context.  Sure, in time whatever is hidden will come to light, that happens a lot.  However, if he turns a blind eye and instead chooses to be vocal after the series is over, of what benefit is that?  The league office will not demand that the games be replayed, instead they might apologize for the horrible officiating and vow to fix it.  Clearly, that's a long shot.   Speaking out now affects the outcome of the games being played now, and brings the focus on the plays and stupid non-calls made by the referees. Hence my reason for strongly disagreeing with your input that he should wait it out until the mattter is brought to light. If the system is faulty, those who feel the effects have every right to rally against it, at any time.

Temp, part of my problem like I said before is not  just with the Lakers complaining about it, but when the lakers were on the receiving end of such favor in the Jazz series they did not complain about it!    The disparity was 43-16!
and back in 05' vs Sac it was 40 - 25 and 27-9 in the fourth quarter alone! and did the kings come out crying the next day about the fouls? not nearly as much a Phil did couple days ago. The moved onto the next game - void of conspiracy theories. They shut up and played!

Lakers cannot now come out n complain about something they themselves benefitted from in the same playoffs! - it's called karma sweetie, what goes aorund. . .comes right back and bites you in the butt!  cool

That's where your error in judgement comes into place.  That's an issue the Jazz have to address.  It is the responsibility of their coach, their players, fans, the analysts, and their organization.  Phil Jackson will not make it his mission to complain that he received X number of fouls while the Jazz received x'.    Take for example a situation at work where you get qiute a decent chunk or raise relatiev to your co-worker who you feel works just as hard as you do.  Do you feel it is your duty to refuse your raise simply because your said co-worker did not get as much as you did? Of course not.  You would either shut up about it or ask her to file a complaint.  As such, Phil should not be reprimanded for speaking up for his team and you should not expect him to keep quiet when he sees something wrong.  He is the leader and coach of that team and has every right to do what he finds necessary to make sure his team gets treated fairly.  The oficial politicking in the Nba is way too much.  David Stern has done too much to protect his officials and the system is vile and autocratic. Whereby, if any player or coach bashes the Nba officials, it is an automatic hefty ban, and it discourages them from trying it again.

JeSoul:

SeanT,
doesn't it feel good to be on the winning side girl? cheesy

Now we can focus on the game instead of the referees n calls. I wonder what will be the excuse Celtics won this time since the foul calls were even? cool I had more respect for LA n Phil before the series. . .I never knew they could whine n complain and sulk the way they did. I cannot stand whiners, Shut up and play! is my motto.

Now we must win game 5 and end this thing before. . . lipsrsealed
I still don't understand your biased aversion with the calls made in game two. Face it and deal with it already, ever since Phil managed to complain about the referees we saw Tim Donaghy levy some serious allegations against the league office about fixing games. It definitely couldn't have come at a better time, and since then I feel and see that the calls took a turn for the better. The problem is not with the celtics and their play. Phil is not calling you out for playing agressive basketball and drawing your fouls. You got about 38 fouls in that game and you deserved most them, but the lakers only got 10 while they should have had more. This is not the first time a ocach has spoken out about terrible officiating in the Nba. Those who do speak out either get fined or suspended. Majority of the people who look back at the Heat - Mavericks series can see how that series turned out after Derange fade spent more time on the freethrow line than he did at his own house.

Congratulations on your win, but keep in mind that the series isn't over; obviously. See you on sunday for game 5.

No. Support patriotic troops who were lured into, or wilfully joined, the US. army to protect their nation and to combat against terrorism.  To fight against Hussein's regime and to bring liberty to the people of Iraq.  The idea that the US. government has a different agenda should not prevent you from backing the troops, who by the way, are just doing their job.

Don't you think they're being a little hypocritical?  I know not too much about the man so I can't really say much. The loss of a human life, in general, is grave.  I'm sure he has family, children, and friends who are pained by the loss.

My heart goes to them and I hope God gives them the might to cope with the loss.
Culture / Re: Why Don't Blacks Take Their Culture Serious? by MyTempID: 11:24pm On Jun 12, 2008
She's just a confused person. Merge. How did we go from an argument that blacks are insensitive to their culture, to an argument centered on the need for an igbo religion. Of what benefit is this, and how does it hold merit to your beginning claim?
Culture / Re: Why Don't Blacks Take Their Culture Serious? by MyTempID: 11:17pm On Jun 12, 2008
merge.  At this juncture, you have stopped making sense.  What role will the needless existence of an "igbo" religion play in improving the cultural sensitivity of blacks? - Not that there's a need for one anyways.

What would comprise this igbo religion?

That is important.
How and why is it important?  It is not important just because you "think" it is.  That reasoning will not suffice.
Moreover, why the stupid fixation on igbos?

merge, please stop trolling.  I'm beginning to question your maturity and age.
It appears you're simply an ignorant hobo.  Through it all you have chosen to turn a blind eye to supporting your claim.  Yet, here you are a promoting an unhealthy prevarication about the lack of cultural responsibility in Nigerians.  Amidst your nasty claim you have suddenly decided that you are right and won't listen to what others have to say.
Culture / Re: Why Don't Blacks Take Their Culture Serious? by MyTempID: 11:01pm On Jun 12, 2008
Contrary to the question you have asked, merge, why don't you give me examples of why you're right? You wanted to make a point but you still haven't. All you stated is that you "see" and you "observe", whereas there's a possiblity that you could be suffering from eye delusions.
Culture / Re: Why Don't Blacks Take Their Culture Serious? by MyTempID: 10:49pm On Jun 12, 2008
Yes, while I agree that you do need to stop being naive, you still need to recognize that there is no element of truth in what you say. It isn't set in stone. You're still unable to suggest a liveable argument that supports your affirmation.
Culture / Re: Why Don't Blacks Take Their Culture Serious? by MyTempID: 10:35pm On Jun 12, 2008
What you see from where and based on what, that's what you should explain. It strikes me that you're one of those who take one or two samples of a whole, and decide to exaggerate the significance.
Culture / Re: Why Don't Blacks Take Their Culture Serious? by MyTempID: 10:28pm On Jun 12, 2008
You are wrong and probably can't even explain what your observations are based on. I'm sure your principles are shallow.

You did not hear any of the Spurs crying about the brent barry call, instead the coach even said "it was the right call".
I am glad though Kobe did not follow suit with Jackson n whine. much respect. Let your game do your talking son.
Don't get your panties in a bunch. The spurs could not have complained about the brent barry call. Prior to that posession, as i mentioned before, the Lakers should have had the ball back, and BB travelled before the foul.If it all goes well in game 4 on thursday this series will be knotted at 2 games a piece. Phil Jackson had every reason to speak out against the refs biased and stupid phantom calls. KG set illegal picks all game today and you expect laker fans to be happy with that? Yeah right! See you on thursday.

I TOLD YOU! 2 - 1

What's up with KG and his moving (illegal) picks? He must have done that all game and the refs only called it once. Pathetic.

YES! We WILL Win tonight.  If we don't, I won't post on these forums for one month.  Mark my words.

SeanT21:

why will the refs have something against the lakers. Why can't you just accept the victory?
Victory I can accept, but I cannot accept defeat. If you watched the games at all you will realize that the freethrow discrepancy (38-10), in game 2, is more than mind boggling. And I blame it on phantom calls.
Politics / Re: Lagos State Govt - Are They On Crack?! by MyTempID: 9:04pm On Jun 10, 2008
If they're on crack, they're on the right kind of crack.  It's about time they divert their attention to cracking down on criminals.  I don't see anything too wrong with this law - except you might argue that the fees and fines are on the high side.  It's definitely a good way to discourage traffic offenders from putting innocent lives at risk everyday.  If that means losing a decent chunk from their already undersized pockets, so be it.  Road safety is very important.  Let's just hope the police officers don't see this as a way to upgrade their pockets.

You are still missing the point. Are these people from MARS? NO.

If they truly identify with Nigeria, they will LOVE it and work for its progress but rather they have no identity with Nigeria.

To them, it is just a place to steal money, rape, and stash the wealth in somewhere more safe.

That's the key to Nigeria's problem: We don't identify with it. We only carry the name in passport or documents.

It is people that make a place great and not the resource the place has.
No negro, YOU'RE missing the point.  We do have fine intelligent people in Nigeria but our resources are awful.  On top of that you're also generalizing. They do identify with Nigeria.  Their national identity can be traced back to culture, and culture is people's way of life.  In one form or another they identify with Nigeria, either by language or by dressing, or you name it.  There's a difference between patriotism and madness.  Should people continue to lose their lives over senseless governmental failure, no.  That's why some of us choose to leave.  If your economy cannot provide adequate living standards for the people, they're allowed and free to find ways to live fulfilling lives.  Still doesn't strip them of their loyalty to Nigeria.  Don't continue using fundamentally unsound axioms in situations where they don't apply.  The government of Nigeria has been stealing from her people and raping their souls, but you, Landis, chose to ignore this.  The leaders have been stealing from the nation and stashing the loot in foreign bank accounts, why not blame them?  The key to the problems we face extend far beyond what's in the name "Port Harcourt".  If you can't see this, go have your brain examined.  Instead of blaming the problems on artificial ideas, why don't you focus on addressing the real problems that plague Nigeria.

I like the fact all those "nba/sports analysts" are now biting their words after predicting lakers in 6. cheesy And to quote Jon Barry "in all 4 games the Lakers n Celtics have played Kobe has struggled from the field, I don't call that coincidence, I call it a trend" - that was classic.
Unless the Lakers suddenly decide they want to play some D, this series will be over quickly- n that will be fine by me.
Negro please. What you're seeing is the Lakers vs. the refs. Yes, Boston plays solid 'D', I give you that, but don't go pretending it's all gravy and flawless when the refs have consulted with David Stern to steal this trophy. How are we going to get in a good flow if the refs decide to blow the daggone whistle every 30 seconds?

We'll see you in LA. Go Lakers!

Those who have broken the law and stolen her money are just looters and criminals. They're the exact people who have turned the economy into the catastrophe that it is today.
