Queries: (1) is the church standard different from branch to branch, country to country? (2) is the rule different depending on your pedigree or status? (3) Before their marriage ceremony was there a period of marriage counseling. Did they attend the class? (4) Since they are not outsiders, was it an intentional act or otherwise? My take is, 'give unto Caesar what is his and unto Christ His'. They should have followed the tradition of the church just for that one occasion which they are not stranger to otherwise they would have insisted to do it there own way but in another church of which everyone will know their true intention. Now we don't know if it is deliberate act of disobedience or not. What is the apology for? From the time of John the Baptist till now the Kingdom of God suffers violence. Churches have evolved with time. From the period of the Rabbis to missionaries (orthodox & protestant) and evangelical - pentecostal (conservative, moderates and liberty) churches. Let's practice what we preach otherwise we should keep quiet! |

For me, a man without money is simply a sick man...I meant really sick psychologically, socially & physically. WEALTH = PRIDE OF MAN WEALTH + POLITICAL POWER = CRAZE!!!! |

women are powerful. Using their God-given assets to control mighty men, kings and princes. I just remembered Cleopatra and Caesar. Men should be very careful when it comes to pleasures from women. Nothing goes for nothing. |

Not a bad analysis & with lots of senses in it. |

Fantastic! Only if we would contribute our own bit of - providing & maintaining constant power supplies, adequate security and boot-out corruption. Everybody will smile... 1 Like |

The words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 24 is being fulfilled... 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. . . . . 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: |

babyosisi: babyosisi, not every man or woman has that strong power to control his/her libido especially in this age of so much sexual provocation in the name of fashion and absolute freedom. The mantra 'prevention is better than cure' applies here b/c the scourge of being a rape victim is terribly devastating compared to a little moderation on what one wears. Mind you, rape issue is not prevalent only to Africa, it is a malaise in India too so women visitors to that country should beware. Female body is designed to attract Male irrespective of whether human or animal, just like metal to magnet. And we humans decided to wear something to cover our bodies otherwise I wont expect less compared to animal...just imagine a world where everyone is nude...and that's were we are tilting towards..just soon and very soon. Why not cover that 'thing' while in public and go unclad in ur privacy. I don't know how else to preach it than say ' moderation is the key'. |

As old as Jang is, he is still talking and behaving like a kid. See how far Akpabio and co, has pushed this man into mis-interpreting the will of God. Selfish men!!! |

I only hope that it is not true! |

A clear warning to GEJ et'al that not all the governors could be pushed around. I am not surprised at all. Though the outcome means that a huge 'division' has been created within NGF. Akpabio's camp would kind of boycott meetings on the instance of Amechi's NGF leadership. Let GEJ go and do some homework. I suggest to him to work towards delivering concrete democracy dividends and may be the masses would consider him. And he should stop committing blunders, on-and-on again. |

Texas.Cowgirl: It is not only in Nigeria. Mandela, Mark Morrison (return of the Mark), Chavez, etc were once prisoners |

Hmn! that would have been interesting. But like it happened in the 60's against Biafra so will it happen to the Bokos. Nobody is breaking-off. Of course they would have been fought back with Federal force. NOBODY is leaving this contraption. If they dare...there will be civil war like in 60's. This is what we call history repeating itself if it happens. |

Sounds like a re-mix of Anambra State (Ngige) debacle. Only that after that APGA become the victor. Any house or kingdom that fights itself shall surely fall. 2 Likes |

See how the bill is moving fast towards passage...second reading already. How I wish the PIB will be fast as well. Honestly, I don't understand the rationale for banning factory fitted rear tinted glasses. It does not measure up at all. The IG should have cross-checked properly before coming out with such a ban. I am not convinced about the excuse of insecurity in the country. |

That (UNIZIK) junction is very notorious for fatal accidents. This is not the first time. I suppose GOVT will do something this time around to protect lives around that axis. Also FRSC/VIO should go after the heavy trucks...they are the most risky vehicles on the road and the drivers are poorly trained and most times under an influence... Sanity check on these men on heavy wheels will save more lives. |

Looks like we are fully under a military dictator. Intolerance! Nevertheless, it will come to an end one day. Ask IBB & OBJ, power is sweet while it lasts but it's not forever. Whatever goes round comes round. Though I don't pity Amechi, they were once birds of a feather. He is now savoring the bitter taste of a failed system of which he is part & parcel of. I laugh in Kanuri. 2 Likes |

The blunder has been committed already and we are sensible and wise to know that Gov Akpabio actually did as he said or was it a slip of tongue. |

The write-up makes sense even though the writer himself is guilty of some of this malaise. For me, credible politicians are almost non-existing in Nigeria because each one has one blemish spot or the other. For Nigeria to function properly, it all depends on we Nigerians. GEJ is currently fighting for 2015 while so many Nigeria problems are left unanswered. I encourage Nigerians to vote wisely come 2015, that's if Nigeria exist by then. 1 Like |

Ngodigha1:Also because of their republican nature it was not easy for the White Man to win them over unlike their counterparts with centralized govt. It was not until they introduced the 'divide and rule' tactics as well as the various Missionary incursions did they conquer. 2 Likes |
