Nairaland / General / Re: The Best Of Halloween Pictures by newmusic: 10:39pm On Oct 29, 2012 |
Halloween is of Celtic origin and it marks the end of summer and the beginning of winter, it is also believed as a day for honoring the saints and praying for the recently departed souls who had yet to reach Heaven...people wear masks or costumes to disguise their identities from being attacked by the dead who may want to seek vengeance before finally going to the other world( that's what they believe). These people are just having fun, call it anything you like...all you ranting about religion and devil are not holy either. Funny pictures btw... |

I can see there are so many VOs in the house... and blink6, try and get your complete O level at one sitting, WAEC preferably, don't combine results. All you need is a piece of advice, not being bullied... |

Travel / TEN WORLD'S FRIENDLIEST Countries....canada Is 4th by newmusic: 4:28pm On Oct 26, 2012 |
People travel for different reasons, tourism, schooling, working and what ever reasons. Three places should always come to mind first, Cayman Island, Australia and the United Kingdom are the best three countries to take into consideration if you want to integrate faster with the society. It is easier to mix with the locals, learn the local language, fit into a new culture according to the result of HSBC's Expat Explorer Survey... Even South African and Malaysia made the list of the top 10, interesting... http://travel.yahoo.com/ideas/the-world-s-friendliest-countries.html?page=all |

Some people can be so stubborn, how can a bank reveal your cash balance to a third party? Even banks won't reveal anyone's balance to EFCC or police officials if they don't take permission from the necessary authorities...sometimes its better to remain quiet on this thread... |

austinecole the canada visa application centre has stopped accepting application since Friday last 2 weeks. They turned down 2 of my friends application and said that d embassy has instructed them not to accept for January session again. So just defer ur admission cos going to vfs now for january session, would be waste of money and resources. Kudos to the successful guys e.g spencer. Yoir future is brighter now. Last 2 Fridays? you mean they stopped collecting from 28th September or earlier? Counting from that date till January, its just about 3 months. @Spencer congratulations, have a wonderful time in Canada and be a good rep. to our dear county. 1 Like |

Travel / CANADA : Protesters Defend University Of Regina Students Facing Deportation by newmusic: 3:57pm On Oct 04, 2012 |
About 30 protesters were seen with placards and rallied against the deportation of 2 female Nigerian students at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan on Wednesday. They have been living in a church since June when they became aware of the news of their deportation and since then they could not continue with their studies. Ms Amadi and Ms Ordu were working with Walmart which is seen as a violation of their visa terms which has prompted them for deportation by the Canadian Border Service. This offense na just $325 fine oh, make dem let these girls finish their program now... http://babayau..com/2012/10/canada-protesters-defend-u-of-r.html |

A guy was still denied after given instruction to pay his school fees, he paid in full!!! I think the guy used fake statement...i forgot his username, he left this forum about a year ago or 2. He was denied twice. @doncipher you got the fact, but as you can see it's at least more of a tie than fund, never a fund!!! |
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by newmusic: 11:00am On Sep 28, 2012 |
Efosa it can be sold but cash cant be ready immediately, therefore cant be regarded as fund. Secondly you or your sponsor should be capable enough to fund your education without having to sell any of your properties, i think that is what CDHC also believes. Its ok anyway, just get everything you can to prove to them you have enough funds and ties... 1 Like |
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by newmusic: 10:41am On Sep 28, 2012 |
Land is a tie, stop confusing yourselves. Funds should be in cash or liquid form not a fixed asset. Anything you are dropping that is not readily available for use is a tie eg, house, land, shares, securities, fixed deposit, company etc. Funds for school and upkeep is the available cash at hand and at bank, money that is readily available to spend immediately, that is fund. |
