Hey Goldenray,
I just read what you said about multivitamins rejuvenating people's CD4. What company did you say manufactures it and what does it contain? There are lots of claims from all sorts of companies who are only interested in fleecing people of their hard earned funds. You said un- official research? What kind? Did the company do any clinical trials to test the drugs and are they documented anywhere? If these wonder multivitamins really exist and the manufacturer is not a con man, make the details public so that his claims can be verified. If not, stop dispensing the wrong advice to people infected with HIV. They already have enough problems
Romance / Re: Can You Blame Her For Dating A Married Man? by nigeriana(f): 1:19pm On Mar 22, 2007
Dating a married man will only lead to heartbreak for her and his wife. No matter how desperate any lady is, I believe married men are off limits. Its a pity that many of use no longer respect the fact that marriage is sacred. The difference between humans and dogs is that humans are able to control their sexual urges and dogs cannot. Goodbobo, tell the lady to end the relationship. It wil get her nowhere and will probably spoil her chances cos MR right may come along when she is otherwise occuped with a man who belongs to another woman.

Hey Coloba,
It must have been a shock getting a positive HIV result. However, its not the end of the world. I have been working in the field of HIV for just over three years now and also have a number of friends and colleagues living positively with the disease. Lucky for you, there are a number of centres around the country where you can enrol and get ARV drugs for free. My advice to you would be to go and enrol and have your tests done so that it will be determined if you are are eligible to start ARVs or not ( cos the fact that you tested positive does not automatically mean you should start ARVs immediately).Even if you dont start ARVs you will still need to be monitored by a qualified health professional. You can also join a support group for people living with HIV and get psychsocial support from them. Dont make the mistake so many people have made and spend all your resources looking for a cure. The hard fact is there is no cure at the moment although we pray for one in the future. Anyway, God is your strenght.

Literature / Re: Frederick Forsyth by nigeriana(f): 3:51pm On Mar 19, 2007
The fourth protocol is my favourite. He also wrote a biography on Emeka Odimegwu Ojukwu titled 'Emeka' which is not half bad
Literature / Re: Your Favourite Book Of All Time by nigeriana(f): 3:40pm On Mar 19, 2007
I love books and am glad there are lots of people out there who do. Han any one read the complete Narnain chronicles from 'the magician's nephew' to 'the last battle'. Though I read them in junior sec, they still remain my favourite books.
Culture / Re: Do We Still Respect Our Culture? by nigeriana(f): 12:44pm On Mar 19, 2007
I say respect the positive parts of our culture and throw the negative parts into the rubbish bin. Parts like those that maltreat widows, treat women as second class citizens and so on

I was in school abroad sometime ago and treated badly by the whiteys. After living among them, I find out many of them pretend not to be racist when they are. However it is most painful if it comes from a fellow african. Travelling with a nigerian passport also seems to be a crime. Plus on foreign airlines, there is a big difference in treatment for passengers on flights carrying Nigerians and passengers on flights carrying westerners
