Business / Re: The Army Destroyed 2000 Illegal Refineries In Niger Delta by niviso: 4:52pm On Oct 19, 2011
1. I think there is a saying like this- What is good for the goose is good for the gander, up north there are illegal
miners, how far with them? No legislation abi?

2. Nigeria has never supported home made technologies eg NDDC recently brought in Solar energy technicians to train
our youths on solar energy conversion and the technicalities, why not source them locally.
3. Every day there is one reality show or the other, why not they- FG etc, try a Talent reality show on technology and
grow it.

Backward ever, forward never. They like stealing so they bring in oyibo to do the abrakatabra.

Sorry.
Let our technology keep sleeping.

Sports / Re: Osaze Blames TB Joshua's Prediction For Super Eagles Nations Cup Exit by niviso: 6:10pm On Oct 10, 2011
Demons will do every thing to ensure that their predictions come through especially when the almighty God Jehovah does not have interest in the matter. You know God is not partial neither is he nationalistic. He does not support one race above another. God has servants in both countries-Nigeria and Guinea, and will not be happy to see them taking sides.
Demons alone do and they do anything to protect their interest.
Two supposed "men of God" counter predicting. Simply a clash of the Demons. When they are interested, there is basically nothing any man can do to avert their decision when the almighty is not interested.

How life fades away like a flower that blosoms in the morning and dies at noon.
Well, it calls for reflection on what life is the need to live it right. The same life that some blow away as if in a party. The same life that some waste along with many others in the name of suicide bombing, the same life that is not considered when many live just "that way".
Its a time to ask oh why does man die, even against his wish, for IMO Mr. Jobs would have loved to live to further amaze the world? Oh why does man die?
What is life?
Sorry Mr. Jobs Steve for losing your life.
Sorry to mankind without hope.
Thanks to God for the HOPE.

@ Beaf,

Don’t you think it is high time you tell your oga to get his act together in NDDC. All those sub-standard roads they are building all over the place is not it oh. It is just a ruse to share money, they should just disband NDDC and share whatever money that is accrued to that Organisation amongst the oil producing states for ‘inter oil producing states projects’ i.e the Governors in the recipient states would dictate the projects that would benefit them not some bloooooody bureaucrats in Abuja,

My concern is that in NDDC they sell the contracts, eg for example if you like it that way, a road contract worth 120million is sold by the originating department or whoever to a contractor for like 25million. Now tell me what do you expect of that road if the contract that have good return on investment? Substandard job of course.
Good initiative + corruption = Bad result

Why are the Asians taking over every aspect of our economy? Where are those best business heads paraded on the alter of excellence. Where are our business experts, where are those who stole monies from us. Cant they use the monies to buy the best businesses and business heads if they ever exist?
Oh noooo, it is the same old stories. Why cry this way man? Why now?
What is Casualization,
What is Temporary staffing etc.
Call it what ever you like, it is the same old story. The same method of short changing people by the greedy commercial entities.
If you short change one by 20k another by 120k it is all the same.
Am not supprised. They know that millions will be willing to take up the job even with the miger pay.
Cry, cry cry oh you helpless! Wale and let you tears fill you skin bottle and drink from it untill you realise the foly in your choice. World over it is same story.
Sorry for man.

Politics / Re: State Of Roads In Rivers State (the Home Of Red Mud!) by niviso: 3:17pm On Sep 23, 2011
There seem to be a serious problem here. I may be wrong though.
The Elekahia, Stadium, Rumumasi some parts of Trans Amadi axis have become beautiful sites to behold. The flooding that ravaged those areas has eased off. I remember a friend relocated from Stadium road area because of the flooding there. Today its a different story. Its all joy within that neigbourhood. But, But the Ada George by Iwofe road axis is a very sorry sight.
While MCC keeps working along Stadium road axis, even under the rain, the company handling the job at the Ada george axis are sleeping as it were.
What is the problem?
Have they not been paid?
They should be made to do the job thay have been paid for. Unless there is "something else".

@ Mr. Why
Are you saying that we have never been seriuos on this forum.
Sorry, may be I misunderstood your intro or may be in my thinking its not the best way to introduce those beautiful points.
However, in my view nothing is wrong with the idea of partnering with world bank, although I wounder how it will workout when a company like Michelin stopped manufacuring tyres in Nigeria in 2007 while they expand their factories in China.
Well, may be after Electric Power stabilization in the nigeria in 20-- ,then we can compete with China in abid to take some factories from China. That is if China decides to go a slumber.
Politics / Re: State Of Roads In Rivers State (the Home Of Red Mud!) by niviso: 6:25pm On Sep 21, 2011
Rivers money for Rivers people not a bad idea at all. The pain is what those who got the jobs did with the monies they were paid.
It is simple:
1. Lack of project planning on the part of the contractors
2. Lack of foresight
3. Lack of Project Management skills

Who says they would not have built world class construction firms from what they were paid?
Who says with the right strategy they will not be basking on more jobs for the successes recorded.
It is all about vision and the initiative to succeed against all odds.

May be they got the money and they went to "sleep".

Imagine that the executives of such firms took the time to hire the best hands, as most successful business executives do, while not experts in the field themselves they hire the best heads and hands, get the best equipments and delivery is on target. They should have learned from the likes of Bill Gates he will always get the best heads for his projects.
It is an issue of Project Management considering the 9 Project Management body of knowledge and living it out in the course of a project.

Time to develop our people for the future and with the potentials for growth.

Lets support and Groom Firms to meet our aspiration.

For those who trust holy writings and its influence in life, you will agree with me that it is about Soft Skill. Yes soft skills change believes, intension and mind sets. It can do the magic. These youths should be helped to realize the folly in their life path, they should be talked to. However, we still have to grapple with the effects of last days, which deliquency is part of.
Education / Re: 80% Of First Class And 2.1 Failed Nnpc Test by niviso: 5:49pm On Aug 16, 2011
While in the secondary school way back in 1989 to 1991, I personally practicalized Physics principles and got results, I won awards and was respected by my Indian physics teacher. In the University I graduated in 2000 with very high 2.1 grades narrowly missing a first class. My brothers and sisters, I practically wept after that test by NNPC. It was just O'Level Physics, It downed on me that as a human my brain is just imperfect, it forgot even very simple sound wave and light formulas.
But come to think of it, how will I remember when I have spent the past 12 years living in pains and agony inflicted by the same system that is blaming me. With children and a wife to care for? Now will they ask me why I got married in the first place? Then they will be depriving me of the joy of fatherhood in a failed world. A world where equal opportunities does not exist.
I can stand my own any where? They shouds have used real apptitude test questions, not even the GMAT's of this world, becos that too can be memorised by good cramers. I can practically do any interllectual job and fit in any where.
The organizers of that test were not fair at all. I wrote mine under darkness. Sorry for those of us who still believe in the system.
Sorry! Sorry!! Sorry!!!
Somebody I know committed suicide some weeks back for the this failed world. Sorry for the world and all the hypocrisy and deceit. Sorry

Oversea training ups the sych, yes, it leaves an impression on the heart especially. However the situation of the 8 Niger Delta youth uunder discuss underscores the need for attitude modeling which is what I preach and believe will help reshape or realign their thinking. Soft Skill is every thing. Every youth undergoing training of any sort needs a training and help to develop critical soft skills like - emotional intelligence, critical thinking, successful relationship building and other social graces. Soft Skill is a key to better living and relationship.

Religion / Re: Who Are These Jehovah's Witnesses? Misconceptions, Likes & Dislikes About Them! by niviso: 1:59pm On Aug 03, 2011
pelezico:

Hi Anu Yakubu

I would tell him that for salvation - having your sins forgiven forever , being fully justified (though i woudn't say that since its a big word), being adopted as a son of God, being heir to God inheritance as his children, having the right to approach Gods throne, having the right to call oneself a son of God - its IS BY FAITH.

Hebrew 11  1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

So I would tell them by FAITH since saving grace which is appropriated by FAITH now gives us the power thru Gods spirit to address sin and our behaviour.

If like the Galations we use works as our JUSTIFICATION then we either have fallen from GRACE or we still have a VEIL over our eyes as do teh Jews and Muslims and any other person who seeks justification thru the  moral law. A veil signifies ignorance of true faith

So practically speaking if someone who calls them-self a believer yet lives no differently than they did before they they were saved:  for instance he still beats up on his wife or cusses her out, or still gets drunk, or still sleeps around, or still 419s no matter how small, or hates his mum or dad etc etc then they are in peril of Gods wrath which is hell not annihilation.

Because of revelation though we do whats right not because it saves us but because of our LOVE which is motivated by what he has done for us.

So i would tell them by FAITH - and Romans 10:9 says that if they confess (repent and put confidence in Christ) they are saved.

Pls what is required to remain in an approved condition before God? Is it the faith you had when you repented or is it the your effort at remainng pure? What is that effort you put? What does Mat. 24 :13 call for? Just faith? Pls lets think.
Pls who has other translations of James 2:4. I want to see them pls, pls.
