Am not really saying that I should have voted for BB OR Ribadu but should have relaxed at home than voting for a president that have no guts. Now this is the reason for my comments b4 any critics. Since Goodluck was emerged as the acting president, there has been break down of law in the northern parts of Nigeria ranging from bomb blasts, killings by boko haram and co, killings in Jos and so much more. In those days i thought he will make things right when he is finally elected by the people. But now is the worst. With deep sense of sorrow am writing this and tear are almost dripping my eyes that every now and then the christians and non housas will be massacad in their numbers and nothing is being done about it. If you go to kaduna and it environs now you will see dead bodies everywhere. According to CAN they are yet to figure out how many they are in number but injured ones are in their thousands. What a world!!!. The next thing GEJ Did was to sack the interior minister. When OBJ was the president was it the interior minister that sent military men to river state when things seems to get out of hands and ordered them to shoot at site those involved in the unrest, was it the interior minister that sent the military to Udi and ordered them to shoot at sight those involved. And other places like Bayesa, onisha in the case of massob. And other places. Mr president is so weak. Been afraid of what the northern godfathers will say if he takes any decisive action. I only pray that God shall one day revenge. I will excuse your comments as those of an angry person. However, it is apparent that you lack facts about the things you are talking about. The suspension of Iheanacho simply means the matter he is indicted for is under investigation. Also security for these elections is a collaboration of different facets of the security sector, which includes the Interior Ministry. Each member of the collaboration could be faulted depending on the aspect that caused the problem. However, I do not think you even voted for GEJ. You simply an aggrieved person looking for anything to castigate the President for. God is the one that gives authority and since he has given it to Jonathan, anyone choosing to fight him may do so, but I will not defend him, rather the same God will. Every President has an enemy. |

When Attahiru Jega was nominated Muhammadu Buhari was one of the members of the Council of State that approved his appointment. He stated then that Jega has credibility. When the Parliamentary elections were held last week, he commended INEC for the postponent. Then before the Presidential elections on Saturday the Universal Press International reported the following with Buhari's statement: Africa's largest country has a history of election fraud, but Buhari told the BBC he had more faith in the Independent National Electoral Commission this time. "Probably 60 percent of the election will be credible," he said. Then when the first wave of results came in there was no complaints of rigging from anywhere. It was when enough results showed that Jonathan has already made 25% in at least two third of the States, that the problems started. I am baffled more that even with the riots and killings, a man of God such as Tunde Bakare cannot urge their followers to sheath the sword. Politics can swallow any man. I think it will be nice to Know why Goodluck Endorsed a Corrupt, wanted for money laundering governor like Uduaghan. Pedestrian talk. Why did Jesus Christ chose to endorse Judas to complete his clique of closest friends? Answer that question and you have your answer already. |

You do not need to make these things up. Critics are not individuals with no backbone . . . they are critics and when they see things are wrong, they state it without mincing emotions of any kind. It has nothing to do with seeing good or bad. I hate it when people try to taint what is just so they can make some silly brownie point in some lame attempt. I repeat this so that you digest it very well and if you cant, I will force down your throat. I hate people that mouth off and prefer to think from their anus. I dont know what I said wrong by calling on you to also appreciate it when someone does something right, even if you dont like such person. Your kind are simply hateful. You detest someone and nothing good in that person ever matters. That is the height of unfairness. PERIOD! |

This for me was the best response given to this silly post by Goodluck: Pataki its easy to understand you stand on Jonathan. You did not hide the fact that you are promoting Buhari/Bakare ticket. So nothing one says to Jonathan's credit will be acceptable to you. However, the best critics are those that see both the good and bad in someone. Both the person that sees only good and him that chose to see only bad, cant be said to be honest and sincere. The point is that Jonathan has his strengths and weakness - let us not try to pretend that any of them do not exist. As for the fuel queues going - give him some credit for God's sake. |

These pictures are lies. I was the driver of that Bus belonging to Charleston Industrial Supply Limited, Sango Otta. The last time I travelled on that road with the vehicle was way back in 2009. So let these smart fellas tell us the date of these photos. Ha Ha Ha! |

Is it not funny. The only two votes so far, is for Ribadu, a man being reported as withdrawing from the race, though unconfirmed. It is like Nairalanders are cowards. They cant put their vote where their mouth is. he he he! |

I dislike ignorant people, what did he do? he didnt give the contract neither was he the engineer so he really didnt do anything there, like some people were hailing GEJ that he built the railway when he entered in abekuta when it was yaradua that did so@xterra2 I too, I just dont hate ignorant people. They make me want to vomit. What in God's name are you talking about. You think you can come in here and vomit your intestines. eh? You wont give the poor guy credit, yet am sure, if the road was not done, you would have given him the debit. I am even sure, you did the same thing to Yar'adua when he was alive and now you are singing lullaby to his corpse. PISS OFF! You hear me. PISS OFF! Ignorant, hateful person! |

Justice has been done. We must document step-by-step the process of this entire election as a manuscript to guard against rigging in this country forever. |

This guy needs to get out of power as soon as possible. . . Madam, I usually post on my own topic when someone makes a serious blunder. I wonder when leadership became a matter of accent and dressing. If so, we will not respect the Mandelas of this world. Wise Up woman |

Some say I rely on luck, but was it luck that got rid of fuel queues, revived our textile industries, rescued our banking sector, ensured total radar coverage for Nigeria, is reviving our rail infrastructure or expanded the economy by over 8% making Nigeria the 4th fastest growing economy in the world? Those are the result of hard work. Only hard work can make Nigeria work http://www.facebook.com/#!/jonathangoodluck |

Earlier results on local TV gave the impression that PDP has been annihilated with the CPC and ACN taking over power. With so many results announced, that has not been the case, though virtually all the major bigwigs of PDP that contested electiongot whipped mercilessly. However, Buhari may have been given a reality check, as the touted fanatical followership and surrounding hype has been torn to shreds, giving an inkling of what he will face at the Presidential elections. PDP contestants showed their influence in so many parts of the north is very strong, with the PDP showing monstrous strength. However, the power of ACN, and Labour Party leaders in the South West, shows that Jonathan should worry about votes. As for the National Assembly, PDP is still in charge but not like the behemoth it was was before. |

Jonathan, writing on his Facebook page, said: "When I assumed office as the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 6th of May, 2010, I promised Nigerians I would focus attention on three key areas- Electoral Reform, Energy Security in the Niger Delta and Electricity Generation-The three Es. Thank You Mr President. Let this reforms last starting with the remaining elections, which should also be free and fair. Then the electricity should increase more because the blackouts are staill haunting many people, though generation has increased. As for Niger Delta, thank God for that. Finally, if God chose to return you as President next week, you should deploy all energy God has given you, to fight against corruption by Governors. May God help Nigeria. Once again congrats on the elections. Nigeria's pride has been restored. |

The elections were postponed - Yes but there have been positives to it. Those who planned fraud never envisaged the postponment so they were quick off the blocks with their familiar antics. Violence, ballot snatching and the whatnots. However, the one that interested me more was the antics of some INEC officials, who probably were working at the behest of RECs in affected States. There were instances of electoral officers unilaterally ordering youth corps members to abdicate their duties for unknown persons. Then in certain places in Imo State (this Imo State is getting hotter by the day), materials were deliberately withheld from some areas even when other places have received. It was a deliberate attempt to disenfranchise the electorate in that place, who are well known to be massively supporting one of the candidates. I have refused to name the candidate for fear of being termed partisan. The fact is that the incidents last saturday shows that many of the RECs may have been compromised already and therefore needs to be changed. At least they should swapped between them across the States, with little time for any of them to build fresh rapport with desperate politicians in their new places of authority. The woman in Imo State deserves this treatment more than any other. |

JEGA claimed that vendors contracted to supply materials failed to meet the Friday 5.30pm deadline given to them, despite that ten airforce jets were on standby to convey all materials to the States. The question for Mr JEGA is this: was it one vendor that was responsible for supplying all the materials? Who is the vendor - Nigerians needs to know this contractor that chose to sabotage a national effort, so we can blacklist him/her forthwith. Failure to name this vendor will be suspicious. If the vendor failed to deliver, why was the materials for the House of Representatives elections not missing except for those of the Senate? Were they printed by different companies? The attitude of allowing national catastrophe to cause commotion and pass without resignations, sacks or punishments, needs to be done away with - its a bad democratic tradition. This was a national crisis of monumental dimension and if JEGA is not to pay, SOMEONE MUST BE MADE TO! |

Okay, the National Assembly elections has been postponed by INEC following a meeting with stakeholders including chieftains of the other Parties. With such an understanding among those that should feel aggrieved, that should be cheery news after the swirl of public anger and venom that swept throughout the country ofSaturday. This notwithstanding, there are unanswered questions over the incident of 2nd April, 2011, which recorded the first ever APRIL FOOLS election in Nigeria. The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been vilified so much that I have felt pity for the man, knowing how difficult it is to lead in a country like Nigeria. However, he says he takes full responsibility and I wish to take him up on that. That means he needs to answer to all important questions that are yet to be answered over the travesty that occurred on polls day. Without answering these questions, we cannot claim to be out of the woods yet, because it implies that the enemy is still there and would still wreak havoc when push comes to shove. JEGA claimed that vendors contracted to supply materials failed to meet the Friday 5.30pm deadline given to them, despite that ten airforce jets were on standby to convey all materials to the States. The question for Mr JEGA is this: was it one vendor that was responsible for supplying all the materials? Who is the vendor - Nigerians needs to know this contractor that chose to sabotage a national effort, so that they would be blacklisted. Failure to mention the vendor is questionable. If the vendor failed, why was the materials for the House of Representatives elections complete in virtually all areas except for the Senate that was the bone of contention? Was the materials for the election of Honourables and Senators, printed differently and supplied differently. The attitude of national failures passing by without resignations, sacks or punishments, needs to done away with - its a bad democratic tradition. This was a national crisis of monumental dimension and if JEGA is not to pay, SOMEONE MUST BE MADE TO! |

The Publisher of Thisday Newspaper Nduka Obaigbena has just revealed that it was Buhari that introduced the draconian Decree 2, which recklessly jailed journalists. However, more that that, he claimed that Buhari's current spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, has no means of livelihood and that he challenging Odumakin to come out and tell Nigerians his means of livelihood. I wonder why Odumakin has refused to do so, at least to shame Obaigbena. Interesting Times |

The Sign of Good things to come. Buhari inspired Samson Siasia and Super Eagles to a resounding 4-0 victory. Nigeria will be great again. It was when Buhari was Head of State that Nigeria won the Under 17 World Cup in 1985 POLITICIAN! pssst! |

Please I and some colleagues were yesterday engrossed in serious debate over political violence ahead of the 2011 general elections. The question was: compared to the experience in 2007, would one say there is greater violence now or then. We chose to take it up Nairaland and resolved that we will count thirty responses on NL, to determine whose opinion was right - democratic style. So Nairalanders please make your opinion count. Tell us what you feel, |

BUHARI: Under President Shagari Buhari was Petroleum Commissioner and crude revenue funds were traced to personal bank accounts in London, though it was alleged that it was a temporary measure to facilitate a government business abroad. Investigations were about to begin before Shagari's government was toppled. Guess who became Head of State - Buhari. During the post coup meeting Buhari was not the most senior but there was fear of Jokolo, who was said to be wielding rifle in dangerous mood outside the venue. The coup plotters were wise. Jokolo became the ADC to Buhari and in 1984, he forcefully brought in 53 suitcases filled with hard currency, through the airport, without them being declared. Buhari's spokesman Yinka Odumakin is claiming now that those suitcases beloned to Jokolo's father with his two wives and sixteen children, who were returning from the Middle East. Guess what - to resume duties as Buhari;s chief of protocol. As for PTF, no government has deemed it 'wise' to probe PTF projects. Its not surprising - Buhari has never fought against any government, except in the courts for perceived denied election mandate. RIBADU: His case is rather simple. He declared before the Senate that Bola Tinubu's corruption is of international dimension. Today, Tinubu is his major financier using money from corruption. If he is ready to dine with thieves, he is surely ready to rule with them. PERIOD! |
