MrsDaniels: Wont be in the TLS office yet. Give them till Tuesday. @fizzle can you modify your message so that the email address of MrsDaniels is not made public to everyone. |

tinu94: Oh ok, then it means they would not be able to process it within the 5-7 working days, might take longer. Just remain calm. All the best |

emmalebgus: Well that's a nice one there. If they wanted to return the IHS fees, by now it should have been in your account, i agree with you. Just pray that those guys in TLS quickly give you the documents. |

spacyzuma: You sent a PM to her and you did not send to your fellow guy who also stays in Glasgow ![]() Anyways, NA joke I Dey, enjoy. 1 Like |

tinu94: Nothing to worry about dear, it simply means they may not be able to process your documents within the stipulated 15 working days. This maybe because they need more time on your documents to check out some more information or it could just be due to so many other applicants documents they need to deal with. Remember, worrying solves nothing, only prayer can be effective. So at this point, be more prayerful. All the best. 1 Like |

^^^^emmalebgus, have you sent a mail to your school informing them of what is going on? What was their response? I would suggest you also forward the mail gotten from the UkVi to your school. Any subsequent emaik you may be sending to UKVi, always cc your school till you get your documents. At this point, you need to more prayerful. Good luck. 1 Like |

CSSPATRICK: I would not take that information seriously cos (1) that was written in 2014.... The information is so old (2) the sample email of which the writer made his conclusion were for students in turkey.... Process could be different. Don't give yourself high bp when your decision mail comes and start scrutinising every detail of the email unnecessarily. The only way you can know as of now 2016 if you have a successful tier 4 visa application is only when you collect your documents. |

MrsDaniels: U.K. Student visa might be stressful but I think it is the easiest to get from Nigeria when compared to countries like USA, Canada, Australia etc All the best. 1 Like |

@emmalebgus do what creamyworkz suggested ASAP (send your school a mail explaining your current situation) @fizzle, you too much, your story cracked me up. It will end in praise. And to all of you guys who have gotten your visa's and now in uk or preparing to go, please don't just leave and not show face on this thread again o, remember the January guys and other students still coming to UK in future will need your help. You guys have the most recent experience and should help other students coming over in January by contributing when the time comes. Shalom. 3 Likes |

emmalebgus: Well, since you paid for priority, as at the time you applied, you still had time. Why not go and check your documents physically at the office if you applied in Lagos. If you are able to get the documents today, you can still travel tomorrow and do your registration ASAP. All the best. |

carissaa: Yiu would know of your visa success or otherwise when you go and collect your documents. You can go and check tomorrow afternoon if you have the time. All the best. |

Thatfiyahgirl: Look for someone you trust who has not exceeded his or her limit and then transfer funds to the person and use the card. It could be stanbic, GTB, first bank etc |

bal2012002: I was even thinking of how to mention you on here but was lazy going back previous pages to check for your moniker. I am happy you shared your testimony and I am so happy for you and your family. Get ready and prepare well for winter. Congrats to yiu and every other person who has gotten their visas. 1 Like |

Inexplicable: Once you have gotten a decision mail, wait for about 3-5 working days, once you don't Get collection mail, visit the centre and your documents would be there already. I am assuming you did not pay for courier. |

MrsDaniels: I think priority can be used for any of the application centres. Does not be necessarily have to be Ikeja. |

chilez: GCU? Interesting. About 30 minutes from where I live. Yoker to be precise. Hope you enjoying GLasgow? |

Thyme2fly: Don't ever state in your application that you overworked as a student (this is my opinion). I have once also over worked and reapplied in the UK and got my visa. This is not to say that overworking as a student is a good thing but trust me, you are not the first nor the last. Try as much as possible to avoid such a situation in future. answer all other questions sincerely. I don't even think that there is any place on the tier 4 visa application form where you will be asked if you over worked as a student (for someone who has already gotten a visa in time past), they will only ask for your NI number and thats all. Who knows, they may check or may not check your past history as a student. Apply and hope for the best. cheers 2 Likes |

MrsDaniels: The school is actually right cos they will be the one to issue your CAS. I already told you the right way, type the amount you have in your account in Naira on the left hand side to know the equivalent of the needed pounds on the right. I will advise you go with what your school says. If you still doubt what i am telling you, you can speak with any of the recognised bodies close to you such as UKEAS and confirm yourself. They will advise you free of charge. If you have 9M in your account, type it on the left hand side an you will get the equivalent in pounds on the right. This is the simplest way you will know how much the money in your naira account is in pounds. 1 Like 1 Share |

fizzile: Fizzle just do it the way you have been told. For example, you have an idea of how much exactly you have in your account for 28 days right? Type it on the left to check if it is up to the pounds Home office requires of you. That is the way to do it. |

chuksbenin: Don't mind me, you may actually be right but to convince me more, can you come online here exactly past 10pm and say for sure the exact rates it will be tomorrow on Oanda and then i will believe you totally ![]() The rates usually drop on tuesdays, wednesdays and thursdays except last week that the rates dropped on Monday. |

MrsDaniels: I don't understand this question properly o but if what you mean is that will accommodation money be deducted from the maintenance fees if paid in full? partially. The money you have put in the account for 28 days is your money for feeding and accommodation ( and also balance of tuition if that is your case) but home office allows you to pay about £1000 (i am not sure of the exact amount) to your school for accommodation. On the CAS, school will write, full tuition paid + about £1,000 towards accommodation. If for example you pay all of your tuition fees and then pay all of your accommodation money to your school, the home office will only subtract about £1,000 (please confirm) from the amount you are supposed to have held in your account for 28 days. They (home office) can only deduct about £1000 or there about from the money expected to have been fixed for 28 days. studying outwith of London is about £9,135 (please confirm these figures) , so therefore, home office will only check that you have held about £8,135 in your account if you have paid towards accommodation and of cos full tuition fees. Seems i get your question now, leave the money intact till you get your visa or pay £1,000 to your school (if you are thinking of using school accommodation) and home office will only check for £8,135 (outwith London) provided you have paid all your fees. |

bal2012002: Bro what is your problem na? do you want people to spoil your mind? you have submitted already and nothing can be done again. For your information, do you know i also made a mistake when i did my application years back? I was supposed to use the rate of the day i paid online but i wrote the rate of the day i printed my bank statement boldly on my application form and was still granted my Visa. Nothing can be done again, sleep, eat and pray and come back here to testify. Don't ask questions again. all the best 4 Likes |
