Politics / Re: British Airways Regrets Maltreatment Of Nigerians by OMDBaby(f): 3:55pm On May 15, 2008
please when a Nigerian being deported from Spain died on board a Spanish airline,i cant remember the airline apologising for his death.it was done by the SPANISH GOVT.deportation is done by a countries Govt not the plane they are boarding and so whoever interferes with thee procedure is going against the laws of the country where it is taking place and not the plane flying them.so Mr omotade should direst his pain to the British govt.

BA is only apologising for removing the 135 or so passengers and not omotade.BA didn't arrest him nor did the pilot ask for his arrest.he knows better thats why we haven't heard anything from him again only copying and pasting the only one incident.
i am not against anything,he is free to sue if he feel his rights were violated but he should address is properly and not be creating false scenes.

N/B,A pilot has the right to off load rowdy and noisy passengers at anytime.have you not heard of incidences when flights are diverted to send off unruling passengers and who get subsequently arrested.

i have being reading through this thread ad noting peoples comments and views.the only thing most people supporting the boycott fail to realise is he was sent off by the British Police and not a BA crew.his case should be directed to the British Police force and not BA.

firstly,he made a mistake of going to the officers directly.he would have kept his complaint to the Airline hostess and also make sure the pilot knows whats happening in his plane.at least i know he wont fly that plane with someone screaming down his plane.that aside;

Let play a different scene here, NY-London route with BA and all other plots still the same and the US air marshals come in and take him away from the plane, are you going to tell me he will make a case against BA on that?his case wont last 5minutes in court.Every Airline operates within the laws of the countries they land on.His grievance should be directed to the officers that took him out.

Tantrum toddler 'thrown off' plane
A two-year-old boy was escorted off a British Airways plane along with his grandparents after he had a tantrum just before take-off.
The family of Marcello Ferrand, from Kensal Rise, north-west London say he panicked after the aircraft crew tried to fit him with a seatbelt.
Police were called and fellow passengers on the flight to Heathrow from Milan had to wait while the family was escorted off and their luggage was removed.
A BA spokeswoman said the crew had to ensure seatbelts were worn and the captain decided to remove the family for safety reasons.
'Quite aggressive'
She said as the plane was taxiing towards the runway on Sunday, one of the 100 passengers on board notified staff that a woman and child did not have their seatbelts fastened.
And when staff asked 70-year-old Mariella DeNatale to fasten her own and her grandson's seatbelts she refused to do so.
Marcello then became scared and hid under his seat.
Ms DeNatale's husband Peter Van Schalwyk, 64, said: "Three cabin staff crowded round him and were quite aggressive.
Legal requirement
"When one appeared with a special child seatbelt, Marcello took fright and hid under the seat.
"He was scared. He cried a bit but he was not screaming madly or anything.
"It's not like he was Dennis the Menace taking the plane apart."
The BA spokeswoman said: "It is a legal requirement for adults and children to wear a seatbelt for take-off and landing."
She said the captain decided he had no option but to turn aircraft back.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Us Coup Backfires, But Most Media Outlets Unwilling To Investigate, Cover Story by OMDBaby(f): 1:11am On Apr 13, 2008
i just want to chip in some points here. All clamouring for the western media to show more of African should sit down and check how many times using Nigeria as an example you have actually watched anything about the standard of living of our people,None. All the information (major) we all get it from foreign media.even when it has to do wit war in Africa our media will curl their reports from the same Western media
if we so desire to sell our country positively,we have to do that ourselves and not wait till CNN or BBC shows it and then begin to complain.

Religion / Re: The NBC ban of unverified TV miracles in Nigeria by OMDBaby(f): 1:10am On Sep 28, 2007
i just want to chip in something very important.miracles happen every day in our lives.our waking up from sleep is the greatest miracle.
being blind isn't a curse from any where.for every child is brought into this world for a purpose and of which we will fulfil before we live.
there are lots of blind pple who are gifted with great talents that does with eyes cant do.every person has his own gift from God.
having miracles televised has already removed the glory from God and placed on the PASTOR.
we don't need to attend any healing school to get miracle it is the property of God and only comes from God if by his design for you its to happen else just give him praise and do everything possible to look beyond your disabilities which goes beyond being blind, deaf, dumb or whatever.
Politics / Re: Can Yar' Adua change Nigeria ? by OMDBaby(f): 4:05pm On May 06, 2007
for now we cannot say if he will make a good leader or not but it would have been easier for us to judge if he believed in his people and allowed them to vote him in rather than help himself in.
naturally you need the support of your people to rule effectively and not your party cronies who are around you for selfish reasons.
for now he has an uphill task of gaining the trust of his people before anything productive can come out of his GOVERNMENT.
can you imagine NO HUGE CELEBRATIONS FROM YOUR PEOPLE APART FROM YOUR PARTY MEMBERS.IT TELLS SOMETHING
Politics / Re: Updates On The 2007 Presidential Election by OMDBaby(f): 8:04pm On Apr 23, 2007
hi im new and have being reading all your comments with keen interest.i too have been following the politcal situation in my country and to be truthful im ashamed.however we look at it,pdp fielded a credible guy at least he is better than all others.they would have just let the electorate vote fre and fair.but for them to rig it with this magnitude there is definetly more that meets the eyes.
permit me to all nothing good comes out of a rotten situation.so all saying that at least he will do something better are all wrong.we said it in 2003 election were did it take us to,nowhere.we will contiune to run round the same circle until we are true to ourself and embrace what is right and discard what is wrong.
you can never fit a square peg into a round hole.
