Obasanjos successor yaradua is the best president we have had in this dispensation.

An honest and detribalized Nigeria.
Absolute Respect for the rule of law.
Institutional and electoral reforms.
Peace and justice for the Niger delta.

If yaradua was healthy and finished his tenure, we won't be where we are today

Yaradua ordered the closure if channels when a false news about his death was announced.
He was a poster boy and protector if ibori. He quickly removed Ribadu as EFCC chair immediately Ibori was arrested and pretended he was sending him to school in Kuru. Eventually gunmen were pursuing Ribadu until he ran to exile. Ibori eventually had his 170 count charge thrown away, until he pled guilty of sane offences in UK all under your Mr Rule of law.

He reversed the sale of refineries in 2007 without any plan on what to do with them. They are still moribund till today,

He encouraged a winding and unending investigation into power sector investment under Obj, which yielded no fruits or any convictions for crime. Meanwhile all further works on reforming the power sector was suspended waiting for the probe. At least Jonathan did something though with lots of flaws, Yaradua did nothing.

It was an arrant waste of 3 years and reversal of previous gains and growth. The sentiment being displayed is just the pity because he died in office of illness

This man is talking too much recently. These two statement of his are contractive to each other.
The Obasanjo I know is not regretting his decision, ask him about it today and he will tell you he did what was right as at that time.
Is just like telling me that I am regretting that I gave my money to a trusted man to keep for me 10 years ago rather than given the money to a well known thief then, all because the good man suddenly turned criminal last year and has refused to return my money while the then criminal is now a good man.

Yaradua was a big mistake, pairing him with Jonathan raised that mistake by exponential proportions.

Since 1999, should Lagos not have been like Dubai and Singapore with all the huge revenue growth, oil at $140, loans etc?
How many years did it take Dubai and Singapore to become good places to live & work with free education, mass transit rails, roads, hospitals, water etc?
More than 23 years?
What did Ogbeni Ojuyobo and his provxies do with all the trillions? Looted

At the time Dubai was building Burj tower of $1.5b Lagos total annual income to pay salaries, build roads, fund hospitals and schools was not up to that amount.

Lagos state population is more than twice the population of UAE with 7 Emirates. Apart from Dubai and to some extent Abu Dhabi, the other emirates are glorified villages.

It is now that Lagos revenue is getting a bit tidier that it can embark on iconic projects that only a few countries in Africa attempt in their capitals. One man laid that foundation.

And it's not a surprise that those who have no notable achievement or vision in their lives will hate those who have left footprints in the sands of time. It's envy and jealousy.

God bless you for this brilliant question. We must hold the next Southern President to account on this.

Lagos to Ibadan is almost completed though it is already operational but it should not take 8yrs to do such small distance afteral, Abuja to Kaduna and most Northern Cities have been completed by this Buhari administration, in less than THREE YEARS!

Even the Lagos to Ibadan has been starved of funds and stalled for the last 7yrs, by the same Buhari!

Not to mention the Lagos- Badagry Express Way, which was started by Gov. Fashola, is then Buhari has cannibalized (using Amaechi, a Southerner) from an 8-lane International Route, to Double Lanes, while removing the Light Rail incorporated into it!

The same Buhari that canceled the Lagos Metroline of Alj. Lateef Jakande, when he took Power through a Coup in 1983 but he has now done a Metroline in his own home state

This is for those Zombies who still dont realise (or wont accept reality) how Nepotistic Buhari is.

Go and look at all the Northern Roads and Rails, fully completed with Fast Gauge and even running to Maradi in Niger Republic!

BTW: Red or Blue line are just arbitrary Names/Nomenclature used to identify the Inter-City Metro/Rail Line, going from one point to another.

Easy with your gargantuan white lies, you're not addressing primary school kids with FABU

IgboExit:
1) Nigeria is crumbling and it's going to be a tough call retrieving the country from the precipice. I am convinced that it'll take Igbo ingenuity to do that, but who cares? If the country crumbles, most tribes are better off.

2) The Yoruba are desperate enough more than other southern tribes. Even though this is as a result of their traditional greed and treachery, why not let them do the work as much as they're eager to steal the resources? Everyone knows there is no sincereity in their quest to clinch power.

3) With the state of the country, how are you even sure that the next president will survive the onslaugh of the Jihadists surrounding Abuja and actively cleansing native communities while the security agencies look unconcerned? How are you sure that this is not a deliberate Jihad that could eliminate a Christian president. This is a no-no for Igbo nperson.

4) Whenever crisis reaches a peak in Nigeria, the Igbo man always volunteer himself for the rescue, but down the line, no one remembers the crises but they sure would remember the role Igbo played but in a warped manner. No one remembers what the 1966 January coup saved them (an implosion in Yoruba land and a Jihad in Tiv land) but they sure would turn against Igbo if a section of the tribe attempts to rescue them and something goes wrong.

5) Igbo whether politician of military must never give a helping hand when things goes awry because every one of these tribes are waiting for something to actually go wrong.

In my opinion, let the more greedy tribe try in the south, but Igbo should back a northerner. It's just a matter of time for them to steal the country dry and everyone will rest.

Lamentations of eating the humble pie.

Igbos have more than over competent hands to rule Nigeria but the internal party politics which will be based on tribal sentiments and secession propagandas wont allow an Igbo candidate to emerge as party flag bearer of any major party and thats why Igbos are kind of screaming that competent Igbo candidates should be given a fair chance to flag their party tickets and see what happens.

We all know that Nigerian Presidential elections are won from party primaries and most times the party primaries are rigged by the party stalwarts who are mostly incumbent President's mercenaries.

Please note, Igbos dont want

Rochas Okorocha

Igbo Peoples choice candidates are:

Peter Obi
Dave Umahi
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu

The reasons Yorubas and Northerners are scared of Igbo President is this:

The North is scared that an Igbo President may end up splitting Nigeria, which will be a total disaster for the North who depend mostly on Southern crude oil.

The Yorubas are scared of Igbo President simply because Yorubas know that the only tribe that outsmarts them in Nigeria are the Igbos and giving an Igbo man President poses a threat to Yoruba region economic dominance of Nigeria, as in Lagos factor. They feel an Igbo President will open up Southeast and Southsouth trade and economic channels to the disadvantage of Lagos the heartbit of Yoruba nation.

Its all fear of uncertainty. They fear Igbo dominance of Nigerian affairs just as it was after the independence that Igbos dominated all sectors of Nigeria to the envy of several major tribes. They desperately don't want that era to repeat again.

They know an Igbo President will correct a lot of injustices against Southeast region since the end of the civil war that reduced Southeast economic power in Nigeria, for example Southeast is the only geopolitical zone with 5 states.

It is a generational hatred, they don't have any genuine or justifiable reason, just normal rhetorical excuses and fallacies of hasty generalizations.

My own advice to the Yorubas is this, Yorubas have tried in the past to remain just and neutral in their affairs with Igbos and other regions in the past, but take it from me, if Yorubas dont retreat from this recent greed to grab it all at all time without considering equity, fairness and justice in the name of political sophistication or whatever they may call it, and decide that they can use the civil war and IPOB secession propagandas to demarket Igbos and cury Northern people favour and support and grab the 2023 Presidency, the same law of nature that balances life events and rewards injustices of human to fellow humans will raise a sword among Nigerians that will make that Yoruba man's tenure worst than Buhari's tenure today.

In fact, what my instinct is telling me to say about the future of Nigeria after 2023 political higyhaga is scary and I don't wanna say it out for now.

Yeah right, that's why Jonathan surrounded by Ibos for 6 years were unable to solve a single one out of all the Ibo itemized issues with Nigeria. Now Buhari is already solving 3 problems - Zik Mausoleum, Federalroadsand 2nd Niger bridge
