Bobomaigida:

Sorry about the refusal.
How did you structure your SOP written to express your spouse's intentions? Did you also add your letter of invitation? When is your programme ending?
Which specific school docs did you add to the application?
I believe this is your second refusal, did you get the GCMS notes for the first refusal?

That’s my second refusal. My program is 2 years and have finished 1year and am on break which I will resume May. My program will be ending Dec 2024. I’m a centennial college student and I added all the necessary documents. For the first refusal the GCMS note didn’t came out I applied for it twice and waited for 3 months didn’t came out.

My wife just got denied now
ragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• Your proposed length of stay in Canada is inconsistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• : You do not qualify under the IMP as you provided insufficient information to demonstrate that your spouse is a full-time student in a qualifying program at a DLI in Canada.

We submitted all my school documents.
Gurus! Help us interpret the first and second reasons I don’t understand this people

Send them your spouse transcript.

Thanks…I sent unofficial one. Through my school portal or what do you think?

Good day guys! After emailing ircc this is response I got from them
Good day and thank you for contacting the Immigration Section.

We are unable to guarantee a timeframe for which a decision will be made on your application.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached, or, if deemed appropriate, to request additional information.

To help facilitate your application when an officer reviews it, please forward one of the following, depending on your situation:

1. LMIA/LMIA-exempt work permits: an updated copy of your letter of offer showing that your employer still intends to hire you.

2. Accompanying spouse of a student: evidence of your spouse’s enrollment at an eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI), and their most recent transcripts.

3. Accompanying spouse of a skilled worker: evidence of your spouse’s employment (i.e., letter of offer and paystubs), and a copy of their complete job description.

4. Post Graduate Work Permit Applicants: updated final transcripts from an eligible DLI, and a copy of your degree (if not previously provided)

Note that continually emailing requesting the status of your application will not result in expedited processing.

What should do I do ?

Request for GSMN first to know what happened. It happened to me and did second time, I was refused. Then I requested for this, to my surprise, it is lump sum that caused it. After that I addressed the lump sum. I submitted on 8 August, got approved on 30 August.quote author=OkukuOne post=125953077]If you are granted a Study Permit along with a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) in Canada while your spouse is an international student, you are generally allowed to start working right away once you arrive in Canada. You don't need to wait for your spouse's program to begin. The SOWP is designed to allow the spouse or common-law partner of an international student to work in Canada while the student is studying.

However, it's important to ensure that your SOWP allows you to work immediately upon arrival, as the terms and conditions of work permits can vary based on individual circumstances and the specific details of your application.

Good luck!

Was your denial reason happen to be this same reason? Or is different reasons and you got to known after requested for your GCMS note

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The compensation (monetary or other) indicated in your job offer and your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

I will advise you do the maths by yourself.

1. 1st dependent (Spouse) = $4,000

2. 2nd dependent (baby) = $3,000

3. misc. (This is not written down anywhere, but this is what I usually advise close allies to consider) = $2,000

Good luck!

Thanks boss. So, (SOWP ) for my wife let say $6k
Then my (VV) for my son $5k

Which in total $11k .
Have included the miscellaneous

But amount submitted for her POF is &16,500
I think she’s good to go boss or what do you think. @okukoone boss!

To be fair, the amount isn't enough. You need to increase it by another 5-10k$. For a family of 3, you need at least $22k for living expenses for a year according to IRCC website.

The global inflation + the worsening exchange rate isn't helping matters but what can one do?

I experienced it first hand when my wife & kid applied for their visas. Exchange rate was about #340 to 1CAD. A couple of weeks later, it rose to over #500. The POF we submitted was effectively halved. We had to source for more money to increase it back again.

Thank you so much for responding to my question. I've already read through several pages from the start but can't find an answer to the question I asked.

Guess I'll have to scroll through more pages. Once again, thanks.

Good day everyone I’m a silent reader please I need you guys advise seriously. I received a medical request from Ircc some days ago but checking on the letter my gender was stated as Female instead of Male, I never knew the error was from my first application my agent did for me back 2019, and I never took note of this cos then I didn’t even know much about Canada application then it was wen I was now going through the application portal I came across the error. That’s when I made decisions not to do with any agent again. So I decided to do my study application myself .In this my new application I indicated Male and still my gender was picked as Female. But have raised a webform concerning the error and have also sent an email regarding that and also on Thursday that I went for medical they also noted it and inform them about the gender error. It’s really giving me a big concern. Does that webform and mail I sent will sort the problems. Please your advice is welcome

Good Morning my fellow naira landers. Please on my Medical request letter that was sent to me from ircc, there’s an error on it instead of my gender to be Male they indicated Female though have raised a webform regarding that and they’ve acknowledged but I still want to send a direct email to them regarding that cos I will be going for my medical tomorrow.
My question is should I still send d direct mail to them or the webform I raised is enough

Please if I’m to send direct mail please which email will I send to. I’m an applicant from Abuja.

I’m working with a multinational company as a sales representative, my monthly take home after reduction is 165,000 and my company also paid in 80,000 expenses monthly to my account through cheque and also sales bonus though that varies monthly according to your target and d pay it’s always from 100,000 to 400,000 on d percentage of sales target I achieved.
I’m the principal applicant and also money runs in my account( which I will explain all the details of the money in my account with a cover letter) so I intend printing my 6 months statement of account with balance closing balance of 3-4 Millions and as well my wife is working in private firm with salary of 180,000 monthly, which she intend printing 3 months statement with a close balance of 500,000-700,000. Other documents to get
