If you stated one month ago that you are not employed then i guess you should still say same because one month is a short time to make a decision to start a business which is already yielding some returns in your account. I my own opinion just leave it like that.
Since your husband is sponsoring, go with his statement and yours too. If it was on the reason of strong ties you were refused initially, believe me, leaving your husband and your daughter behind (especially your daughter), is enough STRONG TIE. My first appearance at the US embassy, my baby was 4 months old, i was giving a visa but my baby wasn't, (they used her as my STRONG TIE to return to my country, since i said i was only going for a 4 days conference).

So focus on getting all hospital documents (don't know if it's ok to say avoid MIHS and elpaso, grin though me, i am leaving for MIHS in 2 days time sha, lol!), make sure the statement is BEAUTIFUL enough (them like money), be confident, dress smart and pray for God's favour.
kaffy055: pls am still awaiting d guru's reply on my request I Nid to submit d form bfor Sunday.pls is urgent

Please expatiate on "beautiful statement of account" grin how much (in average) in your opinion, is sufficient?

Hello house, I have a very important question; do I need to make any payment ( hospital fee or doctors fee) before my interview at the embassy? I have email correspondence from both hospital and doctor.

I haven't decided on Dr. yet but its between Dr Oduro ($2,150 I believe) and Dr Soyoola ($2,675). I got the following email from Gwinnett:

As a courtesy to our self pay patients, we are offer discounts toward services provided by Gwinnett Hospital System.
Normal Vaginal delivery estimated charges for a two day stay can be from $4,000.00 to $6,000.00.
C-Section estimated charge is $10,000 to $12,000.00. Estimate includes baby’s nursery charges, estimated cost for baby’s nursery charges can be $1,000 - $1,500.

If you are uninsured, You will receive a 40% discount for services if paid before the first 30 days. A 30% discount if paid before 60 days, and a 20% discount if paid before 90 days. If you are unable to take advantage of discounts, you can make payment arrangements in our Patient Accounts Department.

Anesthesiologists will bill you separately and they have flat rates if paid up front, you can call directly to: American Anesthesiology # is 866-507-5244.Referral line for OB-Gyn Doctors is 678-312-5000. Doctors have different care packages for prenatal care.

i got same email too. my sister that lives in lawrenceville saw Dr Soyoola and he said $1800 wink how did you reach the doctors?

Hi! we have the same problem. It was my husband case. But we were applying together and we stacked right now both of us with decision. They gave paper to my husband to send some background docs, he is IT specialist. We send everything on email on the next day. Right now is almost 4 weeks how we are waiting. In the next week we'll write mail to know about our visa status, because on the paper they tell it takes 4 weeks. More over, we suppose to fly in 11 of September. It's so weird to don't know about your visa when you have travel less in two weeks (((( I'm 34 weeks.

hello, did your cousin go to the embassy with a referral from her hospital in nigeria?

malory84:

Thesame thing happened to my Cuzin. Could be thesame VO. She just got a breakdown of the cost which was signed. And took it back to them the following day and she was given. I would say your chances are very high. If the VO didn't want to hive you, he/she would have blatantly refused you. They just want to be sure and have your documents I guess. Good luck.

i didnt have the breakdown, i only went there with email correspondences to show i made part payment which is $4000. the hospital is Lankenau medical centre, pennsylvania (ABuja Embassy)

Phema:

Did you not have the breakdown before you went for the interview? What hospital is that? Which embassy?

I think you should tell the hospital to send you the breakdown of all the bills you will be paying. Print this and go back to the embassy.

Your chances of getting the visa seem high if you provide what they want.

Goodluck.

hello all, its my first time here, i went for my interview on tuesday, i told the VO i will be having my baby in the US. after all the questions and answers session, the VO requested for my evidence that i've contacted a hospital in the US, which i then handed over my email correspondences to her. after going through it, she said i should contact the hospital and equest for a detailed budget for delivery and then return to the embassy on thursday, which is tomorrow. she gave me a form to come with. what are the assurances of getting the visa.
