Religion / Re: "t.b Joshua's Miracle Is Fake And Unverifiable" Former Church Members by peekayi(m): 8:27am On May 05, 2013
As a Christian I cannot pass judgement on a Pastor because God will judge all of us. What I know is that no person known to me has been healed by TB Joshua. Equally I have not been told by friends and colleagues whose friend or relation has been healed by the prophet. But I have lost money sponsoring a relation to SCOAN to receive miracle healing of a heart condition. my brother came back the worst after spending almost 3 weeks at the church and spending almost N200,000 for transport, accommodation, feeding, and purchasing of holy water and even church programme and so many numerous expenses one least expect to spend in a church.

Let me give a summary of my experience. My bro was diagnosed with a heart condition that required heart valve replacement. Different cardiologists had recommended open heart surgery in India. For two year the family couldn't raise the about N4m estimated for the surgery and the case was getting worse. At a stage the cardiologist was reluctant to even listen to his complaints saying that he has told us what to do. Even the drugs he has been taking to suppress the ailment were getting ineffective. Fortunately in late 2012 my state government on my passionate appeal approved about 3m Naira for the surgery. However, due to normal bureacracy, the release of cash was unduly delayed.

My brother was waiting helplessly for the money and for lack of any other alternative to alleviate his pains decided to visit SCOAN. I initially advised against it arguing that it is unwise to remove part of the money I have saved for the India m trip to embark on a search for miracle healing. Most family members felt that he should be allowed to go(funny enough no one contributed any amount for d trip). Eventually he went to Lagos with an initial amount of N90,000. Within one week, he called to say that the money is almost exhausted. Asked how come, he explained all d expenses earlier mentioned. What he told me was that the 'Wisemen' minister and pray for them during the healing school but TBJ comes around once a week to pick whoever the spirit directs him for healing. The unfortunate thing was that the spirit never directed him to pick my brother for healing for the three times TBJ visited them at the healing school. To make matters worse my brother stopped taking his drugs(on his own volition) while there. He gave up the search for miracle healing when he fainted while in the healing school obviously for not taking his drugs for more than 2 weeks.

It was late December after getting the money from my state that my brother escorted by d wife flew to India and underwent a successful surgery. He has since returned fully healed. We thank God that the surgery was successful. My comment is that it is poverty and desperation that push people to seek for miracle healings. I will never encourage anyone to seek for miracle healing exclusive of orthodox medical process especially for medically diagnized ailments. We should approach doctors to treat us and pray to God to heal us. Concerning SCOAN, I use this medium to beg the church authorities to stop commercializing things. Selling a tiny bottle of holy water for 5000 Naira and a church programme for 200 Naira is exploitative to say the least. Even if it cost the church to produce and package the holy water, it can't cost as much as that. Again, the church should build more accommodation for their numerous visitors coming for healing to minimize the exploitative tendencies of Sherlock landlords and hoteliers dotted all around SCOAN. READERS PLEASE LEARN FROM MY STORY.

Travel / Re: Bagging Master Dgree In Uk by peekayi(m): 7:14am On Nov 25, 2008
Very easy. Do Google search for higher institutions in the UK. Apply for admission for the course u wish to study. U have to pay 1000-2000 deposit as part of ur school fees to obtain an admission letter which is required for you to apply for Visa. Another crucial requirement is a sponsorship letter from a reputable organisation or individual who has a substantial turnover in his bank account. Do not use an agent because they charge so much and most are 419iners.
Health / Re: Marriage And The Sickle Cell Genotype Issue by peekayi(m): 7:45am On Oct 29, 2008
Folks,
Hear this. A very young girl and boy in their mid twenties (the girl working and the boy a graduate but yet to do his NYSC programme) were to get married in Dec 2008. However, the church they were to marry asked them to do genotype and HIV tests as is the practice in the church. Both turned out to be AS.

Their parents and friends thanked God that they discovered their incompatible geneotype before the marriage and naturally asked them to call off the marriage. The church didn't give such a directive but advised them to think again their decision to marry. Unfortunately, the young couple has decided to go ahead with the marriage. Their decision is predicated on the following facts which I guess they gathered online and from friends:
    1. There is only 25% chance that they will produce an SS child.
    2. They will test the gene of the foetus and get rid of it if the gene is SS.

Being a close family friend to the girl I want to talk to the girl and convince her to cancel the marriage as the risk is too much. This forum has given me  points which I will use to advise the girl but I still need more points to use to add.

Business / Re: Using Mastercards Issued By Nigerian Banks Online. Issues!? by peekayi(m): 12:57pm On Oct 16, 2008
Hi Guys

I am surprised some of you have successfully used the GTB Master card for online transactions. My experience has been very bitter. Since I obtained the card two weeks ago duly  funded and activated, I have not successfully made any online transaction. All the sites I visited to purchase downloadable softwares and ebooks redirected me to Clickbank or paypal. Clickbank always give the message: "Unable to process your order at this time ". When I complained to Clickbank, they sent me the following message:

On rare occasions the bank network may decline perfectly good cards.  We are not told the reason why a particular card is declined, and we cannot take orders by phone or fax.  The best advice would be to try your purchase again with a different card.  If this doesn't work for you then please contact the publisher directly for alternative payment options, such as money orders, checks, etc.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

ClickBank Support

I also complained to GTB but all what they told me is that my card is ok as it is funded and activated. It is against this background that I am begging those of you who have successfully used their GTB Mastercard to kindly list the sites that accepted the card. Any advice on other payment options with my card is welcome. Please help because I have hundreds of dollars locked up in the card. Thanks
