Never met an Indian studying art in Australia, they go for IT, Engineering and so on
I believe there’s a conscious effort from their government to see them dominate cos the student loans they collect is a big factor… they come here and study only working to pay rent and feed as tuition is covered… then they apply to the big four firms where the IT people are probably Indians as well
Took me few months to get a job when I landed but you go to OTR here, the biggest petrol station and you see Indians barely a week old already have jobs cos they own all of these things
Finally, diversity is a good inclusion in sustainability reports and since most companies want to look good… guess who’s waiting to grab such opportunity
