Spain over ten years, no trophy, no finals = excellent results

France in ten years: one Euro final, one world cup, one world cup final = poor result.

How can such a judgment be accepted

Nations league final they lost against France ?

They lost out on the euro finals with just a pk

Kante would have rendered MESSI impotent?
Is it the same Kante that faced MESSI and later on fainted at Chelsea training or another Kante?
With all the players France had in 2018, including Kante and Pogba which is far better than their 2022 squad, they were only able to win a less fancied and individual playing Argentina 4-3.
Even if France had Zidane and Henry, ARGENTINA would have still beaten them on Sunday.

Same kante and pogba wey xhaka and freuler collect midfield for their hand when dem play Switzerland grin

I think people are still stuck with memories of 2018 when Kante and Pogba were still on top of their game.
Both players ain't the same again partly due to injury sha.

You see the npfl is an historical brand. It has a long history of excellence which can easily be leveraged on and bring back the fans.
This is a league that produced okocha, taribo west, Ahmed Musa, kanu nwankkwo etc.
It also has tradional teams like shooting stars and so the older generation can even be drawn to it.
It has a lost pedigree that can be leveraged on. Also, we can invite our old players like ogeyi onazzi to play for us.
People will come because those memories are still with them and the older generation can connect with the younger generation with this.
It's all marketing brother. The legacy is there to leverage on and it is something

Dude let me not say your smoking strong Kwale hybrid Igbo, grin grin grin

But let me put it down to youthful exuberance and limited understanding.

As your contemplate please go and find out the meaning of excellence.

Correction to some impression about Morocco

Morocco’s success in Qatar 2022 has more to do with the Footballing Education in Western Europe than the narrative of the Moroccan FA “investing in pitches”.

Out of 37 Players and Coaching staff in Morocco’s World Cup Team, 19 were born in Western Europe.

Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was born in Canada and was formed in ATLETICO MADRID Youth System and we all know their history with GKs. From De Gea to Courtois to Oblak.

It’s clear to see.

Achraf Hakimi was born in Spain. Formed in REAL MADRID Youth System.

Noussair Mazraoui was born in the Netherlands and Formed in the AJAX Youth System.

Sofiane Boufal was born in France. Formed in the ANGERS Youth System.

Sofyan Amrabat was born in the Netherlands . Formed in the UTRECHT Youth System.

Captain Romain Paul Saïss was born in France . Formed in Le Havre.

The Manager Walid Regragui was born in France. Spent all his playing career in France and Spain.

Assistant Manager Gharib Amzine was born in France. Spent all his playing career in France.

Hakim Ziyech was born in the Netherlands. Formed in the Heerenveen Youth System.

Walid Cheddira was born in Italy and was formed in Parma.

Amass Zaroury was born in Belgium. Formed in Zulte Waregem.

Goalkeeper Munir Kajoui was born in Spain. Formed in ALMERIA.

Illias Chair was born in Belgium. Formed in the CLUB BRUGGE Youth System.

Zakaria Aboukhlal was born in the Netherlands Formed in the PSV Youth System.

Selim Amallah was born in Belgium. Formed in the ANDERLECHT Youth System.

What makes a house stand the foundation. It's obvious what is underpins the success of Morocco the backroom staff not just one coach. Add to that recruitment by merit, no nepotism and favouritism or Egunje.

18-year-old wonderkid Bilal El Khannous, was born in Belgium and was formed by ANDERLECHT AND GENK. In fact, he played for Belgium’s U18 Team last year.

GK Coach Omar Harrak was born in Spain and has been a GK coach in Spain and Cyprus for the last 12 years.

Video Analyst Moussa El Habchi was born in Belgium and has worked for Ajax, Genk, Anderlecht, & the Belgium National Team.

The Technical Director of the Morrocan National Team, Chris Van Puyvelde is pure Belgian.

Worked as Assistant Manager for Olympiakos, Club Brugge and Gent. Then as Technical Director of Belgium and China before joining Morocco in July 2022.

Ighalo ,balogun nwakaeme did well at their 30

It's difficult to say comprehensively.

I am looking at players who have been able to maintain high level of quality play in a top league of Nigerian origin after they hit 30.

Possibly it could have been Odemwegie but he had bad injury and it was down hill from that point .

Meaning if too say we get sense down here, someone like Emenalo for be our coach and dia Saka and co for don rep Nigeria and did exactly what Morocco did at the world cup!!? It won't be hard. But we are surrounded by Shege!
these countries are just smarter, if an U-18 player born abroad shows great promise they can bring them to the senior team, if such happens here we’ll see people protesting and saying maybe the NFF have been bribed

The issue is we cannot manage things and we are not sincere with developing football.
What Morocco did are two things
1. Develop their league and football academies
2. Leverage on foreign born players
3. Create a team that consists of home grown and foreign born players together.\

The problem with us is that we go on silly extremes.
If we get foreign born players we might ignore our league, youth football and football academies
which is 5 forward and 10 steps backwards.
If we build our local football, we might ignore our foreing born players which is another disadvantage
We should be able to manage this thing i mean
1. Develop our local football
2. Get foreign born players
The two of them are not competing with each other.
THEY ARE COLLABORATING WITH EACH OTHER!!
OUR ENEMIES ARE OUR OPPONENTS ON THE FOOTBALL PITCH NOT EBERECHI EZE FIGHTING WITH NWAKALI AND LOOKING
DOWN ON HIM.
MORROCO WILL DOMINATE FOOTBALL FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE THEY WILL DEVELOP THEIR LOCAL LEAGUE AND ACADEMIES
AND INVITE MORE FOREIGN BORNS.
OUR ADMINISTRATORS HAVE TO GET THIS MIXTURE RIGHT.
MY RESERVATIONS WITH GETTING FOREIGN BORNS IS THAT THE STUPID NFF WILL START IGNORING OUR LOCAL FOOTBALL
AND ANY SUCCESS THEY ACHIEVE WILL NOT LAST AND EVERYTHING WILL CRUMBLE IN A MESS OF CORUPTION AND MISADMINISTRATION.
GUSAU (THE NEW NFF CHAIRMAN) IS INTERESTED IN OUR YOUTH TEAMS AND THEY SEEM IMPRESSIVE\
AND IT WILL BE GREAT IF WE SUSTAIN IT WITH FOREING BORN PLAYERS.
i hope they get the mixture right as our administrators are immature.
It is similar to when Nigeria discovered oil and abandoned agriculture, mineral resources and local technology.
Getting foreign borns may make our administrators lazy and incompetent and before you know it we are back to square one.
1Get foreing borns
2. Develop our local football
and then everything will be allright.
The funny thing is that some foreing borns dont want to play for us
because they notice how corrupt and negligent our football officials are

Iwobi had his uncle’s influence, Ekong had his U-23 performance to thank, maybe Okoye and that’s because we have a shortage of GK. I’m not in support of filling the team with mediocre players but we also need to realize that these players won’t be willing to play for us if we wait for them to become regulars for their clubs especially the ones at the top clubs.

Oga leave uncle influence

We have been inviting foreign born players so early

Forget shortage of gk ,the late keshi won’t call Maduka Okoye a division 4 GK when we have so many chidozie agbim at the npfl

How many players have played for Senegal when they there top of their game ?

The Arab always love their main country first ,hakimi have always wanted to play for Morocco from day 1

Is it not bouna sarr that has always wanted to play for France and even rejected the opportunity to play at the 2018 World Cup ,what about boubakar kamara of Aston Villa still rejecting to play for Senegal ?

Na we still cap player early pass

That's not true. Don't forget these managers sabi draft contract well and we both know that getting specific players is part of their deals. They'll definitely push nff to get those guys. Name carry weigh. No foreign born will see these two as national team coach and want to turn down, especially those younger ones that dream to play under them one day. Make we tok true. Cameroon are in deep dung yet Daddy Adesanmi still came to them. They messed it up themselves by asking for bribe.

For any bribe allegations made by parents of footballers like that, i believe 7/10. We don't need Eriksson excerpts to believe that.

You can’t know the future of most player from age

Because mikel was the best or came second best player at the world youth championship behind Messi doesn’t mean he was destined to be close to messi level ,even messi was a nobody at the 2006 World Cup

Mikel was destined for Greatness, that is why Alex Ferguson fought tooth and nail for him.

You only need to watch Mikel against Spain, how he dominated the midfield with some of the best players in the history of the game on the opposition side. That is Xavi, Busquets and co. It is sad Mikel never got to play his natural role in club football. Even Drogba confessed after Mikel put in a strong shift against Cote d'Ivoire in the AFCON we won.

The only reason why Mikel did not excel as a creative midfielder was because he never got the chance to play the role.
