It's interesting the way perspectives work and how we all see things differently...

I could have sworn it's the other way round because people make it seem like we have a whole lot to gain and benefit from BATists by continuing to relate with them, and cutting them off is tantamount to losing an "helper"...
It's been more of this, at least on my WhatsApp status. Thing is these guys don't realize that these politicians can only help tops 200K person's personally...but I really doubt e go reach. BAT is poised to be the president of over 200 million person's, it's no more a Lagos affair.

The question we should be asking ourselves now is what are the things the incoming president can do that will affect the lives of most persons, and can we trust the person to deliver on it?

Yeah. I agree with you. PDM and OBJ 8-year impetus has carried them as far as possible.

Meanwhile if this man ever becomes president, wahala go shele.

Wicked Wike.
I actually like people like wike..

I liken him to the likes of Putin, xi, and nayib bukele of El Salvador..

I won't lie I like people that weild so much power.. even more when that power is used to protect their own people..

I so much have love for hard men, that's why I love tinubu.. the only thing that made me disinterested in his presidency is the mm ticket.. even at that, it didn't stop him from doing his thing..

I like powerful strong men, yes I might one day be on the receiving end.. but it is what it is.. I like them

PDP is done. Wike and G5 killed the last vestiges of it. Tinubu is such a bridge builder, Nigeria is about to become a one party state again with niggas cross-carpeting to APC. Only minor opposition will remain, maybe in SE if Obi decides to build

I am going to do a post mortem of what this election means and you will see the results in March 11 Governorship election
Nigerian politicians do not like to stay in opposition especially to a man like Tinubu who is always ready to cut deals with you, who is ready to rub your back if you rub his own

The governors have shown the power they posses and they are still powerful.. Loyal governors will be empowered. Plans for 2027 begins today
Tinubu is not Buhari who stands aside and let the politician run haywire, He will seek to control as many state governors as possible with 2027 in mind
PDP the main opposition is currently rudderless like a boxer who got a punch on the chin and likely to lose more states by March 11
By March 11, APC will have control of more states than before. Benue, Bauchi, Delta Oyo(even though this will sadden me) are suspect

Osun goner when Adeleke will be facing tribunal under Tinubu

All those off cycle elections like Bayelsa, Ondo, Kogi forget them, Edo will finally be Lagos. With 2 Senators, And the LP PDP divide, Its time for Ize-Iyamu or anyone to stay permanently svcking Oshiomoles cock. Cos Osho Baba is back with a bang and will hand over the governors seat to who he chooses
Wike and Simi likely decamp to APC, While Amaechi retires finally. Aregbe will get his 20yrs passport and jet out too
APC might still lose Imo though

There is no leader in the North anymore. They need to find a new leader. Shetimma might use his influence as VP to assume control of the North

Next Saturday if you are an APC candidate, for governor, the advantage is to you, If you don't win, try make it controversial enough to go towards tribunal

That's what APC national will be telling their candidates in every state now

The reactions of a certain tribe on social media when the result of Ekiti, which was the first result declared, was given betrayed their real thought towards the Yorubas. The level of vitriol, curses, name calling cannot be described with words and it then becomes even more pitiable when you then start seeing allegations of rigging in the state of Ekiti. many of these people people who were directing these insults and vitriol were not even restricting their insults to only the Ekiti people but also to the whole Yoruba race which included states who's results were yet to even be counted!!

These people who have been shouting "Biafra or death" "No referendum no peace" "we no want Nigeria again" "we will burn Nigeria" "nothing dey Nigeria again" suddenly changed tune to "Obidient" "Obi for president" "better Nigeria" "New Nigeria" etc. They overnight started loving a country they've hated and labelled "zoo", celebrated Buhari's new monetary policy, started praising everything Buhari does in the leadup to the election. a Buhari they very much don't hide their despise of. suddenly they rebelled against stay at home order and we're even rejoicing at the news about their demigod, Ekpa's, arrest. they now wanted a New Nigeria but their reactions show they don't really want any new Nigeria, they just want to rule at any cost. their new Nigeria can only come from surprise, surprise, someone that came from their religion and region. same lack of patience they had when they staged a coup to install ironsi claiming they did it out of love for Nigeria. a coup in which they killed majorly Hausa people including prime minister at the time and refused to kill their own too who were part of it which is what lead to the Biafra war which is part of the huge reason Nigeria is in this mess today.

Truth is if I were a Yoruba and was thinking about protesting about the rigging situation in Ekiti even if I witnessed these riggings I won't do a thing again now that the candidate which came from the region of those that were insulting my father, mother, brothers, ancestors etc eventually lost to a candidate that came from my own region

PS: I'm not Yoruba but I won't tell you my tribe

You are assuming PDP have a train of thought to who wins their mandate, and not just who turns up to primaries with the most dollars

If Atiku contests again in 2027, he will likely win again
Wike outspent Atiku in the 2022 Primaries. What are you saying?

Money is important, Yes. But the political strength of the aspirants will also be considered. Atiku was PDP's best chance in the 2023 Presidential election especially against Tinubu (with a likely M-M ticket). Wike will be eaten alive in the NE and NW. Same thing applies to Peter Obi.

Sometimes we found answers in hopeless and mysterious places. I will keep hoping BAT will perform and try put Nigeria in good path because it's really a very slippery slope that Buhari has led the country. However, I feel he has a lot of people he needed to settle out and that might throw in mediocrity. So many Governors, SAs, party men worked for the success of the election and being a man that believes in settling, he might not go back on his promises and that will make it difficult to create a better pathway but no one can say, he might end up proving all assumptions wrong.
The bolded is my fear. See how Buhari wasted 6 month before forwarding names of ministers, some of us even thought he was shopping for technocrats, only for us to see Lai Mohammed Ngige, Amaechi and co on the list. Buhari did compensation appointed and that is partly what got the country into the mess it is today, Ngige is Minister of Labour who oversaw the longest ASSU strike in the history of Nigeria. Even the few technocrats that Buhari managed to appoint like Kemi Adeosun, Ibe Kachikwu were hounded out of office cos they didn't play to the tune of the so called cabal and some ministers.

He understands politics. He is smart enough not to fight anyone dirty thus always leaving the room for reconciliation open, the power of compromise give & take, persuasion and when to use the power of money

Most times those who fight Tinubu can only do it on the pages of paper By the time you meet him, His humor, his slow thick voice, his offer he will give you, You most likely will leave him calm and ready to compromise

Obi trailing Tinubu with about 2.7m votes

Where did you see widespread vote theft

APC and PDP had structures make them competitive in many states. In the North anywhere APC is not winning they are finishing close 2nd

So you believe there was widespread vote theft yet El-Rufai lost Kaduna when he could have stolen the votes,
Buhari lost Katsina
Ganduje lost Kano
Tinubu lost Lagos
Adam lost Nasarawa
Lawan lost Yobe

If you had worked close with any politician, you will know that the true meaning of "structure" is criminal influence and not people's support.

It's shocking that we come online and cease to speak like Nigerians who know how things work.

Apart from Lagos, the 2 Governorship election I'm looking forward to is Oyo and Adamawa.

Binani APC candidate in Adamawa is very popular. She's putting in a lot of work and let's left to be seen if shes will be the first elected female Governor.

I want to see how Makinde will wriggle his way back to the collation that brought him into power considering the awful outing all his candidates had last Saturday.

Omo Agege should win Benue and Father Alia to win Benue.

Structure is why Atiku is getting 25% in Ekiti and winning Osun.

APC and PDP have reach all over the country and have people that will vote for the party irrespective of who is on the ticket.

There are states in the US that during the Presidential election, you already know who they will vote irrespective of who is the candidate.

What structure means is that elections are not just a 1 time thing every 4 years, It happens every week every day. The winner of 2027 election is already working now. Just like in America thats why no party beyond Dems or GOP can win elections

What Structure means in Politics is people having ward meetings every month all over Nigeria. From 1999, I know people who have been attending ward meetings every month, People who have been sensitized, have PVC, who people control the opinion of voters

Especially in the rural areas, These things matter regardless of how you urban people try to ridicule it. That is why PO is getting single digits in many states in the North, Thats why LP does not even have candidates all over the country nor have PU all over the country

Currently Obi is Buhari pre 2013 which is an idealistic candidate who believes he can wave his name religion and tribal sentiments to win elections all over Nigeria.

Maybe when Obi loses 3 elections he will wise up

The better go and buy a train because unless Tinubu's brain goes entirely by 2027 they will stand no chance. Election is about strategy and the guy is an OG at that game and will now have the power of incumbency as well. PDP had better build a broad populist base and apply strategy or else they will lule again in 4 yrs time.
PDP cannot unseat Tinubu in 2027. I just don't see it happening unless something tragic happens and Tinubu deliberately withdraws or his performance is really really poor that the whole nation just wants him gone which I doubt will ever happen.

Tinubu's performance has to be egregious for him to be unseated by opposition in 2027.

All PDP boys on Twitter are practically looking forward to 2031 now. No one cares about 2027 again.

Let me ask, which ex Southern Governor or current Southern Governor has Tinubu's clout nationwide?

Someone asked earlier how obi would make up the gap with tinubu and I asked myself if this person really understood what rigging was?

Using portharcourt for example, the official result is that APC won with 450,000 and labor party won with 100,000 plus.

Now we know that this is certainly not true or possible.
Now the rigging that took place was that not only was peter obi's votes extinguished, they were also given to tinubu.

In clearer term, imagine that I have 10 oranges, it's one thing for you to come and throw away those oranges and leave me with only one. And It's another thing for you to take possession of the 9.

That's exactly what took place with Obi.

So let's theoretically say the 2 candidates have 8 million and 6 million respectively. It means that 1 million votes have in effect changed hands, obi and tinubu might have had 7 million votes but 1 million was taken from o I to make it 6 and 1 million given to tinubu to make it 8.

Except in this case, it much more.

Both PDP and APC took away from obi's votes and added to their own.

Generally speaking obi might have in essence had 5 million more votes than he officially has and 2.5 million each were shared by the 2 parties.
