The State is Quite big,.

Enugu, Imo and of course Asaba should close their airports because Anambra own is the most needed airport in southeast region

Same thing I said on another thread. Some people abused me. Airports being built by these governors are just to embezzle money from the construction contracts. Enugu airport is just 1 hour 30 mins away without traffic

Bro, it's common knowledge, ebonyi and Enugu is 30minutes apart, Enugu is adjudged as international airport, based on the closeness, there shouldn't be an airport, there's no major trade area in ebonyi etc. That billions should have gone into other things...

This airport is collossal arguable the biggest airport in the country. it's potential to boost the economy of zebonyi and the region should not be underestimated .

It is on par with Lagos and Abuja airports and it is just a matter of time before it becomes the airport of choice for the entire South of Nigeria.

But isn't this "airport" a waste of scarce resources? I don't know when airports became standards for measuring a developed state when the human capital development in terms of investment in education, health, agriculture and trade is deficit.

It should be turned into a shopping mall....the proximity of the airport to that of enugu is close and I don't think Ebonyi state people like flying. The project was a waste of money right from the planning stage

Bros, the point is that the airport is not commecially feasible. If it is not, airlines will not go there.
Anyway, on a positive note, maybe the state will buy aircrafts and charge people free, or finance eg 100 seater aircraft's flying eg 10% capacity.
As for anambra airport, that state is a commercial hub, an example of a viable airport.
