There are occasions in history where a 10 years old boy or girl could rise to the throne due to untimely death of his/her king or queen parents. When that happens, the respect due to the king or queen gets transferred to the little heir after coronation, no matter the age of the little boy or girl.

If we weren't colonized, the prominent king among them would be the president, while the next prominent kings would be governors. The lesser kings would be the local government chairmen, and the last stage would be the councilors.

It was already that way before our unfortunate encounter with white people.
