Kelechi009: Finance is the most important metric regarding retirement, not whether you like the place or not. Loving a place comes after you have the required funds to retire there, not before. From my head, these are some of the black-dominated countries you can retire to depending on your finances. - Bermuda, Barbados, Jamaica, Bahamas, Suriname and Cayman Islands - Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Nambia and Botswana. The likes of Ivory Coast and Senegal are good. A one-time second biggest rice farmer in Nigeria - Rotimi Williams - fled to Senegal after marauding Fulani herdsmen didn't allow him to farm in peace, but pieces. https://www.nairaland.com/7723312/nigerian-kidnap-gangs-drive-big-time Benin Republic and even Togo are also okay. Note: Some, if not all, of those countries have their economic challenges. Everywhere in this world has one challenge or another, but it is a double whammy to have both economic challenge and insecurity challenge which is fueled by religious brainwashing. Christians are not butchered in South Africa simply because they worship Jesus Christ. That is the difference. Other good places are Dubai, the Dominican Republic, Mauritius and Brazil. In the US, there are countless of black-dominated states. If your worry is not being around those who look like you, I am here to tell you that there are good options other than Nigeria. Remember, you are there to retire. So, for emphasis purposes, Nigeria IS NOT the ONLY black dominated place on earth. 1 Like |

Beremx: Berem who campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015 because she foolishly believed that she would be rewarded by APC Internet bigwigs, only to be deceived just like many ignorant and naive Igbos and tossed away. Gbawe has cashed out, just as many of his kith. But being Omo y!bo, nobody looked at your face. Today, you are campaigning against the APC. However, pre-2015, you joined the calumny against Jonathan. Nigeria will always remind you who you are, and I would be here to remind you and say ntoor! Like Ogbonnaya Onu, like Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba like Berem. 3 Likes |

Kelechi009: It is good to vote for Presidential candidates that you BELIEVE would perform better. However, we need to get something very clear; No President at Aso-Rock can single handedly transform Nigeria from a poor country to a developed and rich country as most people wrongly assumed. Then, the question should be 'Can Nigeria become a developed country?' If yes, then ask 'How can Nigeria become a developed country'? |

helinues: If I were you, I will take a sober reflection, think about your miserable low life. When everyone keep talking and complaining about you, it means, there are negative things surrounding you which you are not seeing. Even the people you are defending will be laughing at your stewpidity and your foolery. I ask again, do you have responsibilities at all? Get a life man, and go take a sober reflection on what people have been telling you. 70% is talking about you. 3 Likes |

Okoroawusa:nna nothing dey to offer you to eat o! Me wey sey I go ask you to do weekend for me make I hold body. Seriously speaking, where are we heading to in Nigeria? We should be getting ready for another round of strike because it seems Tinubu's government isn't ready to alleviate the sufferings of government workers. How can he pay 62k when a bag of rice is almost a 100k? Una wey be im supporters, you people should talk to him o! Nigerians are really suffering. You go to buy foodstuffs and the price keeps increasing. It's unfair 1 Like |

People actually think a support for and an optimism about a particular Government has to do with academic status and brilliance Again, no science publication nor psychology studies has ever proved there's a level of intelligence attached to this kinda things I should ask u how educated u are to think a group automatically have more intelligent folks than the other just cause they choose to support one effeminate lad... see logic 2 Likes |

Beremx:In as much as I understand what you are saying but there are several parameters that go into coming up with a minimum wage. When someone that's not a Nigerian hears this hullabaloo about minimum wage he will think that the amount is for the average worker in Nigeria but it doesn't. In real sense minimum wage favours only feeral government workers because the constitution gives every state the power to operate its civil service. The federal workers are a very minute percentage of Nigeria's workforce. The problem is not the FG but states because over the years what the FG pays has been taken as the template for what the states will pay. As for the economy, it's taking a battering but we are working on it. Then, Beremx my sister I cherish my anonymous nature on Nairaland jealously. I don't want to have anything to do with anyone outside of Nairaland. Problem mu nwere here bu otu mu si e sendi ego anonymously. |

It won't stop you from being anonymous or having anything to do with anyone outside nairaland. You're right in saying increase in minimum wage favours only federal workers but I think the fight for the increase is a wake up call for others to do better. I hope it just gets better because the way it's going, revolution is looming |

Orinechi: If a bag of rice gets to 200k, I will eat it. But I am not sure about your people who won't leave Obi rest. How will they afford it from 60,000 naira wage. You have not seen anything yet, Asif we don't see videos of your people fainting in the market cause of hunger. |

Esthered:igbo has benn president (Azikiwe) , Vice president ( Alex Ekweme), military head of State ( Ironsi) and senate president many times. An Akwa Ibom man is senate president currently. GEJ is Ijaw. Unfortunately Democracy is majority rule, the people from the major tribes will dominate. Buhari, Yar Adua are Fulani who are a minority tribe 🤔 |
