For those of you still giving excuses for failed leadership and blaming your fellow citizens... Please, read my last posts in another thread below:

Angelfrost:

I disagree... Lol.

Society has evolved beyond that, and the massive population growth globally makes that impracticable.

How much land do we have for that?!! Do you understand the toil it will be on the lands?!!

Let's quit making excuses for our failure of leadership in this nation.

It's the responsibility of every nation's leadership today to ensure food is available for all citizens by ensuring agriculture is fully functional and mechanised.

Do some research please, and fact check me... Nigeria has 4 times more people farming and doing agriculture than all top food-producing nations on Earth!

Canada that I know very well has foodstuffs ridiculously cheap (ask around), but how many are farming?!! Less than 20% of the population!

If we keep making excuses for Leadership failure in Nigeria, nothing will change!

Things will get worse...!

How soon before these infidels killing and maiming our farmers move to destroying the crops of those in their houses?!!

Well... Let's keep managing what is abnormal... But, let's never stoop to the level of normalising it.

We are too mentally elevated for such self deceit.

I come in peace, my good Sister. cool

Angelfrost:

Good points, but you still haven't addressed the core issue here: LEADERSHIP!

This food crisis in Nigeria has absolutely nothing to do with widespread laziness or religion.

Nigerians have actually become less religious in the last 10 years (research this).

Yes, out population has grown, but that isn't enough to make food scarce... China and India have grown twice more than we have.

We are not producing enough food because of the following reasons:

1. Insecurity: Nigerian farmers and agriculturists are being killed and maimed everyday, at shocking levels compared to a decade ago.
Solve insecurity, and watch an explosion of food supply.

2. Cost of Production has tripled due to subsidy removal, corruption, and consequent diminished investment in the agricultural sector.

Telling everyone to start farming is merely applying a thin lint over a gangrenous wound... That won't address the root issues.

Na Tinubu go organise farm for you.

This is how development comes - when you have responsible and determined leadership irrespective of military or democratic pattern. Same country alongside Burkina Faso, Mali that Tinubu zombies said are landlocked depending on Nigeria for their survival. They have even former their own union alliance thereby cutting themselves from the apron strings of ECOWAS under the fraud on seat.

Now all these nations led by young military turks have also freed their respective nations from the griphold of neo-colonists and imperialism thereby facilitating their own development. Meanwhile, the disaster they have enthroned have so much bastardized Nigeria beyond repair.

Still bittred statement. No thinking faculty, no common sense, no foresight only bittered, insult, abusive, name calling, arrogancy and disrespect.

When you were ask to go and farm do you agreed? So now seen just this singular picture of irrigation now something like a fantasy fun fare Disney land to you?

Go and work on your mental status and character decadence ok, everything is not about emotion, insult and lousiness. I have the same irrigation system in my own rice, cassava and maize farm, so what is your noise about or big deal here

Charity begins at home. How many people care to make their backyards productive? How many?!!! Always blaming the government for everything.

Backyard production cannot make a nation food self-sufficient. Deliberate agriculture programs with farmers security would. Don’t the people with backyard work and pay taxes to government? Y’all demand the blood of poor Nigerians. Wicked people!

No nation can develop with backyard subsistence farming practice that you APC goons are trying to push Nigerians into. If that was the case, Buhari would have had increased cattle. Nigerians are not hungry because they are all not going to farm. But they are hungry because the right things have not been don by the government.
Look at that farm in the picture. How many thousands of people it can feed, with machines and few human beings operating on them? But imagine the thousands of Nigerians it would have taken to plant that level of farm land in their various backyards with crude tools like hoe and cutlasses?
.

God bless you more for that response you gave to that Apc mòròn .

Since we want to be mad in this country

Nigeria is one of the 10 countries with most arable land in the world. Why must your farming be limited to your backyard if you really want to do something?

Nigeria is a cast study of how the corporate controls food supply. I was thinking about it, and I realised that Awolowo did not attempt to dabble into staple food because no one depended on government for food in his days. Rather, he introduced cash crops. So, why have almost all Nigerians crying of hunger? Wow!

Food production has been successfully taken away from the common man, and he depends on the government. This is serious.

As an individual, you can do something about it. Listen to me....it is going to get worse. The food supply chain will be controlled by the powers of this world. So, learn gardening now before it is too late.
