There are one in like ten million chances that two finger print cld be the same thing. In this your case, her finger pattern is not exactly same as your own but it's very very close to it. This is a very rare case and I think it's going to be interesting to study your finger and your daughters finger print.

But this explanation does not justify using the 2 middle fingers to open a locked phone. That's what baffles me in all of these.

It's not possible to inherit the fingerprint but it's possible for the fingerprint reader technology to fail or have low accuracy thereby accepting a close enough fingerprint to urs.

There are different type of onscreen fingerprint technology and they vary in accuracy that why sometimes even ur own fingerprint fails in 1st attempt.

It's normal atleast it has saved you cost of DNA test.

Exactly, she knows her password and quickly included her fingerprints to it too. You can install so many fingerprints on your phone and all will have access to your phone. Instead of scanning all your fingers, scan 1, another person scan his own and another person..... everyone of you will have access.
