No human being on the planet Earth has the same fingerprint. I won't argue that your daughter opened your phone, but that does not mean you have the same fingerprint with her, it depends on your Mobile phone.

Did you write the password down somewhere ..

You cannot come up wit password like that except written down somewhere in case it happens you suddenly don't know what or how you made the combination..
Re: My Daughter's Fingerprint Opens My Phone by wallrichy: 7:47pm On Jun 27
This is not true. Stop confusing people here. Fingerprints can never be the same no matter how much you tried. The only obstacle that could make you not to be able to open your phone or perform an act with your fingerprints is if your fingerprints is dirty. A little unseen dirts can make the recognition screen not to identify your fingerprints. Again, some phones screen or fingerprint lenses aren't as sharp or rather sensitive as some. So, naturally they would reject your fingerprints severally until it's finally done or atimes tell you to use alternative password. Let me tell you something you don't know. Fingerprints technology was invented to work on a real scale of sure identification and not guessing, therefore, stop telling people that it would accept a closer fingerprints.....lol...that's misleading amd and fraudulently said. Instead of fingerprints to misbehave, it wouldn't work at all.

jaxxy:

It's not possible to inherit the fingerprint but it's possible for the fingerprint reader technology to fail or have low accuracy thereby accepting a close enough fingerprint to urs.

There are different type of onscreen fingerprint technology and they vary in accuracy that why sometimes even urgently own fingerprint fails in 1st attempt.

Even my unregistered fingers cannot open my phone. Same hand, same fingers, same body, same me. Yet, if it isn't registered, it cannot open the phone.
Actually, something got to be wrong with your phone. And we both know, it's China made, no offense to the Chinese, but can you trust something from people who can't even eat proper food? They eat cow dung, scorpion etc.
Think about it.

Abi you dey wait make person tell you say you and your pikin get the same finger print? I think thats all your mind tells you, and you are not willing to accept a contrary view.

But this explanation does not justify using the 2 middle fingers to open a locked phone. That's what baffles me in all of these.

If it were to be his thumb I won't bother replying your mention.

If two of you have the same spiral pattern on your fingers it possible, thats means you don't need DNA on the first place, just kidding. grin.. and your boy or girl share many things with you, for that to happen...

There is something called Shoulder surfing. If your kids put their mind to it, they will get your password.you live with them and they simply have to patiently watch you repeatedly. Children are very crafty when they want access to your phone or device.

I heard someone say his brother unlocks his phone with face recognition.

Apparently, this biometrics has a chance of error

The first time she did it I felt it was a coincidence. But it has happened many times that I think her fingerprints opens my phone.

Two different phones now.

There are times it doesn't open it but I have seen this happen like 6 times.

Is this a normal thing?

My junior sister can open my phone with her face... I think science recognised DNA

Nigerian, we can behave like illiterate at times.....it's not possible for your child to operate your phone with he or her own fingerprints and you saying your boyfriend or colleagues in the office opens your phone with fingerprints, hey, that's a lie. You have probably set your phone to accept your office boyfriend fingerprint and you must have given him access one time or the other. People can be careless at times with their password. I have seen a friend that handed me his phone to hold and right on the screen is the password. He thought he has pressed enter while handling it over to me without knowing. I could easily input my fingerprints and stay quiet. I could input my fingerprints since I know he could change his password anytime, so inputting my fingerprints will make me have a access anytime he drop his phone. Check yourself very well if another person fingerprints can access your phone. Something must have happened at your back to have enabled them to have access to input their fingerprints on your phone. See this research from Quora below......
Why can my son open my phone with his fingerprint? Do we have the same fingerprint, or is it like a blood test?
Fingerprints are unique to each individual, even between family members like parents and children. The reason your son is able to unlock your phone with his fingerprint is likely due to the fact that you have set up your phone to recognize his fingerprint as well.

Most smartphones with fingerprint recognition technology allow multiple fingerprints to be enrolled in the device's system. This feature is commonly used to allow family members or trusted individuals to access the device without needing the primary user's passcode.

When your son's fingerprint is enrolled in the phone's system, the device stores a mathematical representation of certain unique features of his fingerprint, not the actual image of the fingerprint itself. When he places his finger on the sensor, the device compares the features of the fingerprint with the stored data and unlocks if there is a match.

So, in summary, your son and you do not have the same fingerprint, but your phone has been programmed to recognize both of your fingerprints for convenience and accessibility. It's akin to having multiple keys that can unlock the same door.

This is funny. I don't write down passwords. I have been a digital marketer for 16 years and I use my combinations like that and never ever forget.

It's possible for her fingerprint to match yours, I have seen people like twins who share same finger print. Sometimes My face can unlock my brother's phone through face recognition. That's why password like PIN remains the best.

Just went through the post on Quora. It never says on the post that 2 people have the same fingerprint. It says it’s possible the fingerprint are identical. I’m pretty sure it’s from your phone fingerprint reader. Your daughter won’t be able to use her fingerprint to unlock your phone if it’s a flagship phone with sophisticated hardware and software.
hello sir, even the phone manufacturers know about this, hence their caveat on the phone settings that fingerprints are not the safest way to lock your phone. Fingerprints have their unique DNA peculiar to them, but can be similar. This is possible.

The same thing applies to face unlock, not secure as pin.

My 4 years old son came to me one day, and said, no matter how many times I changed the pattern and password he will still be able to open my phone, lo and behold he showed me the tricks they uses to open either my phone or their mums phone. He said after I opened my phone with partners they will bend the phone sideways. And truly when you try it,you will see the pattern fingerprint on your phone surface. But after he told me this I gave a heavy nock no his head and I told him that is a stealing attitude.

Because we have changed patterns like billion times but they will still open it.

No. But use like just 3-4. Even if I forget one, it is usually one of the 3-4 combinations.
