100% not the case. My wife has access to the phone and doesn't need to do that.

I am convinced the finger print opens my phone and checking online, many are saying the same thing. Her elder sister who is 8 can't open it neither can her younger sister who is 3 but that second born can and it is not hacking, she is just 5 years.
U no need worry.
same thing dey happen for my house, one of my 4yr old son fingerprint dey open my wife phone, though the thing no dey happen everytime.

You are referring me to a quora post that says nothing about identical twins.

This is a joke sha.

I hate how you people argue sha.

You are more concerned about winning an argument than learning what you don't know.

There's an Indian movie made concerning this.
There are real life legal cases concerning this.
There are textbooks written concerning this which I'm sure you never read in your life.

Nna ehn!

Identical twins share the same fingerprints!

Prove it to me that identical twins have the same fingerprint. You watch too much movies. I want you to prove it to me right now

Change it again because I could remember how I unlock my colleagues phone with my face, he's using face lock but my face opened his phone. When I told him he thinks I was joking but he confirmed it, but when he reset it my face couldn't open his phone again.
Re: My Daughter's Fingerprint Opens My Phone by scholes23(m): 9:25pm On Jun 27
No need for DNA test

Is this a normal thing?

Some people just like online validation or a rush to post online. Before you come here, have you done basic things? Like checking all finger print profile added to your phone. Are they all yours alone? Have you deleted all the profile and start afresh by adding just one of your fingers? Then after you would ask the child to try unlock. If it unlock, then you can come online for different opinions and validation.
We can't just be posting for posting sake.

It happens cos my daughters face unlocks my phone also. When she did it in my presence, fast fast I changed it to finger print, at least that one pass her

u are confusing fingerprint technology to onscreen phone fingerprint technology which doubles for both normal display and fingerprint screen. This dual purpose reduces its accuracy.

This is different from the simple fingerprint scan screen for only fingerprint.
This is not 1996 bro
Have you heard of ultrasonic scanners? Reduce accuracy bawo 😂
That's a myth

Is it an iPhone? Cos if it's an Android which uses the camera for face id, then that's very common. They even warn you about it before setting it up. But I doubt if it can happen on an iPhone which has specials hardware for that

For you to be sure she added her fingerprint just remove all the registered fingerprints and use your five fingers to capture then change your pin and see if she will be able to open it with fingerprint again.
Re: My Daughter's Fingerprint Opens My Phone by Suzzytee05(f): 9:33pm On Jun 27
That's a great question! While fingerprints are unique, there are rare instances where two individuals may share similar fingerprint patterns, known as "fingerprint twins" or "fingerprint duplicates." This occurs when the unique patterns of ridges and valleys on two individuals' fingertips coincide, making their fingerprints appear identical.

The likelihood of finding two individuals
with identical fingerprints is extremely low, estimated to be around 1 in 64,000 to 1 in 100,000. However, with the increasing use of fingerprint recognition technology, cases of fingerprint duplicates have been reported.

In the case of your phone unlocking with someone else's fingerprint, it could be due to:

- Fingerprint duplication (as rare as it is)
- A glitch or error in the fingerprint recognition software
- A high-quality fake fingerprint or spoofing attack
- Or, perhaps, an identical twin or family member with a very similar fingerprint pattern

Keep in mind that modern fingerprint recognition systems, like Apple's Touch ID or Face ID, use advanced algorithms and sensors to minimize false positives and ensure accurate identification. However, no technology is foolproof, and rare exceptions can occur.

No vex.

The same article mentions that out of all the fingerprints taken so far all over the world, no two have been alike.

If you have evidence you’re welcome to share it.

Oh I see... Well... Until proven otherwise, no two people can have the same fingerprint. It has not happened. That's how some people keep telling us the earth is flat even when we see clear signs that it's not flat. Conspiracy theorists always want to turn things upside down. Don't follow them. They don't have facts to back up their claims. They just throw people into confusion. Look at it this way. Every phone in the market has it's own IMEI. The numbers might look the same when you start from the beginning but at the end, you'll see that there are minor differences in the numbers. That's how fingerprints work. Do you also know that tigers have unique stripes. No two tiger has the same stripes just like human fingerprints.

Science brings proof. Science made us understand that if it can't be proven, it's just a hypothesis. Prove something if you're sure of it. You're the real illiterate here cos you only depend on conspiracy theories and not facts

may not be case the phone is probably an optical on screen fingerprint which is not fully reliable... My finger sometimes opens my wife's Samsung A51, and something like that can never happen on my Samsung note10 which is a supersonic on screen fingerprint i had to researched on it and find out that the A51 is an optical on screen fingerprint.

I'm very much interested in this topic.

Scientists in the house, is it possible for a child to genetically inherit his/her parent's fingerprint?

I know of faces. Especially of a younger brother opening the older brother phone with face. They really look alike but not twin

And I read online it is possible but rare.
My fingerprint also opens my dad's phone. How? I simply registered my fingerprint in his phone. He only knows that I open his phone whenever I want but he doesnt bother to know how. I think your daughter did same thing
